Abstract

This invention provides an aniline derivative and a metal complex thereof which are excellent in conductivity, processability, electrical stability, thermal stability, mechanical stability, etc. and are advantageously usable as, e.g., conductive molecules in various fields. The aniline derivative and an oxide thereof are represented by the following formula (I), in which the repeating units comprise (A) or (A') and/or (B) or (B') as essential units and optionally further contain (C) or (C').
