Abstract

This invention relates to a small-sized pump which uses a diaphragm to substantially decrease noise leakage resulted from the operation sound of an exhaust valve element. This invention provides a small-sized pump, including a pump case 24 having a diaphragm (diaphragm body 30) forming pump rooms 28, 28, 28 therein, connected to a motor case 20 having a motor 13 therein; and an exhaust hole 17 formed in the pump case 24, for drawing air into the pump rooms 28 by means of the diaphragm driven by the motor 13, and exhausting air through the exhaust hole 17; and a muffling device (air accumulating 45, 45 and 45 and reduced portions 47, 47, 47) at the vicinity of the exhaust hole 17.
