In the direct-underlying backlight, a light source 7 is set behind a light diffusion face member 9, wherein the light diffusion face member 9 is consisted of a sheet material of thickness less then 1 mm, and the sheet material include a low transmissivity diffusion sheet of total transmissivity is 10~50%.
