Abstract

The subject of the present invention targets at utilizing an existing system on one hand while enabling to match an operation count of random video input with a monitor on the other hand. The solution provides an EDID control software additionally on a PC10 side such that no hardware modification is required. The monitor 20 side is equipped with a function to alter the EDID configured in EDID ROM 22 in accordance with a CPU 21 and a control software. The monitor 20 will follow the modification request of PC10 through an USB or a DDC/CI circuit to modify the EDID.
