Abstract

A plug connector P (cable connector) comprises a plug-retaining member 10 made of an electrically insulative material, in which a plurality of plug contacts 40 are arranged and retained side by side at a predetermined pitch, with the upper surfaces of the connecting portions 42 of the plug contacts 40 being soldered onto core wires 51, respectively. In the upper surface of the connecting portion 42 of each plug contact 40, a recessed portion 42a is provided, where a core wire 51 is mounted.
