Abstract

Provided is a brassiere and linear interlining material used for the brassiere each excellent in a shape retaining property, and so designed as to surely prevent deformation or slip movement of the right and left cup parts of the brassiere caused by movement of the wearer's body. The brassiere comprises a pair of right and left cups (1), (1') covering the wearer's busts when worn; a connection part (2) connecting both of the cups horizontally in a line; a notched part (3) formed at the center of the connection part; a linear interlining material (4) formed so that its right and left opposite sides (4a), (4b) get gradually closer to each other at their upper portions, its lower side is closed and its upper part is formed into a puckered state, and also a match-state covering part (5) is attached to each of the upper ends of the opposite sides, and internally set along the end part (3a) of the notched part (3). In the brassiere, the linear interlining material (4) is attached to the notched part so that the upper half parts (4a1), (4b1) of the right and left opposite sides are bent inward into almost dogleg shapes against the lower half parts (4a2), (4b2), and the lower half parts having a closed end side (4c) is formed to have a length 1 sufficiently extending downward from the verge's lines S of the right and left cups.
