Abstract

A fan using fluid dynamic bearing includes a fan frame, an integral support member arranged on a middle portion of the frame defining therein an axial inner bearing hole, a stator assembly mounted to an outer periphery of the support member, and a rotor assembly comprising a rotary shaft extending into the bearing hole and a permanent magnet confronting the stator assembly. Lubricating oil is filled between the rotary shaft and the support member to establish dynamic pressure to separate the rotary shaft and the support member in radial direction when the rotary shaft rotates.
