Abstract

Provided is a theft proof device of which the insertion member can be pulled out easily, the theft proof device has a show case K for receiving an object to be theft-proofed, the show case is formed with a cover 4 fitted to one side of a box through a hinge such that the box can be opened and closed, an insertion member 11 is inserted from an insertion port at a desired position of show case and guided by a guidance means of the show case, furthermore an engagment means B is provided to the insertion member, the box and the cover whereby the opening of the show case can be prevented by means of the engaging relationship thereof, the insertion member and the show case are provided with an engaging hook 21 which can be pushed back against the recovery force in the inserting action of insertion member, and an engaging portion 22 which establishes an engagement relationship with the engaging hook 21 at the end of inserting action of the insertion member, characterized in that the a desired number of engaging hook are provided on the line of inserting direction of insertion member, on the other hand, the engaging hook uses, fully or partially, a metal which can be magnetically attracted by a magnet, and the insertion member is provided with a stopper means 25 to prevent the engaging hook from pressing against the inside of case when the engaging hook tilts in the direction of engagement release caused by the magnetic attraction.
