Abstract
The present invention relates to a plate heat exchanger comprising a plurality of heat transfer plates (2, 3) which are arranged alternately to form first heat exchange chambers (4) for generating or condensing the steam therein and second heat exchange chambers (6) for heating or cooling. In said first and second heat exchange chambers (4, 6), there are tunnel-shaped fluid passages (19, 20) formed along each of the heat transfer plates (2, 3) with two ends thereof opened toward each of the heat exchange chambers, whereby the stagnation of fluids in the heat exchange chambers (4, 6) can be reduced and the capacity is thus improved, and a compact and lightweight advantage can be achieved while the generation of scale can be also reduced.
