Abstract

A carrier (100, 200, 300, or 400) for interfacing an ink cartridge (214, 310, 410, 411, or 412) with an ink cartridge refilling machine (110). The carrier includes a housing (117) adapted to interface with the ink cartridge refilling machine and having an ink filling port (103) for permitting ink to pass from the ink cartridge refilling machine through a wall of the housing. The carrier also includes a cavity (311) defined by the housing, the cavity adapted to receive the ink cartridge in either a first position or a second position. The first position is offset from the second position such that an ink refilling aperture (216) of the ink cartridge may be selectively aligned with the ink filling port of the housing by placing the ink cartridge in either the first position or the second position.
