Abstract
This invention provides a damper position adjusting device capable of adjusting the position of a damper and detecting an unexpected abnormal rotation of the damper. It is a damper position adjusting device for use in a combustion apparatus of the boiler 1, to be provided in a damper 8 for regulating the amount of air supply to its burner 2. The damper position adjusting device has a stepping motor 23 for rotating the damper 8 around a spindle 9, a detection plate 33 integrally rotatable with the spindle 9 of the damper 8, and a detector 34 for detecting slots 35 formed in the detection plate 33. The damper position adjusting device is provided with a controller 49 for controlling the stepping motor 23 to cause the damper 8 to stop at a designated rotation stopping position, to detect the abnormal rotation of the damper 8 according to a control signal formed by driving pulses to the stepping motor 23, and a detection signal formed by detection pulses from the detection of slots 35 by the detector 34.
