Abstract

This invention provides a gas stove of excellent design, with combustion portion and operating portion arranged in parallel and mounted on the top plate, and capable of protecting the operating portion from over-boiling from combustion portions, adherence of oil, and being overheated due to radiation heat, and capable of preventing inadvertent operation of the operating portion during cleaning as well. A protection cover for the operating portion is provided, which can conceal the entire operating portion when closed and can rise to approximately vertical position when opened. The protection cover is so mounted that it can freely rotate upwardly and downwardly, with the rotation shaft mounted between the combustion portions and the operating portion.
