Abstract

An oily water separator that is capable of increasingly secure and efficient separation between water and oil. Oily water separator (1) includes vessel body (11) for separating of wastewater into oil (B) and water (cleaned water) (C), which vessel body (11) has its interior partitioned into four tanks consisting of first tank (11a), second tank (11b), third tank (11c) and fourth tank (11d), and supply pipe (21) having its one end arranged so as to open at a bottom portion of the first tank (11a). Further, the oily water separator (1) includes wastewater supply means (20) for feeding of wastewater from the opening of the supply pipe (21) into the first tank (11a), oil recovery means (25) for recovering of the oil (B) retained above the cleaned water (C) into the side of fourth tank (11d) and discharging of the same outside, and outlet duct (30) for discharging of the cleaned water (C) within the third tank (11c) outside by the pressure of water (C) and oil (B) within the vessel body (11). The first tank (11a) and the second tank (11b) are partitioned from each other by means of first partition member (12) in such a fashion that upper portions thereof communicate with each other. The second tank (11b) and the third tank (11c) are partitioned from each other by means of second partition member (13) in such a fashion that bottom portions thereof communicate with each other.
