Abstract

A system and method for controlling the access of a flash memory in a memory card is disclosed. A portion of buffer banks in the memory card is allocated as copy buffer while the flash memory is performing copy process, otherwise the whole buffer banks are used as data buffer. Accordingly, the usage efficiency of the buffer is greatly improved.
