Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a resin excellent in pigment dispersibility and in resist application, which may give a targeted development pattern at a high speed and the exposure part can be well cured even when it is irradiated by an active ray having low energy. An active ray curable hyperbranched polymer is obtained by reacting a polyester having an aliphatic monomer as the repeating unit and having a number average molecular weight of 2000 or more and less than 4000 with a monocyclic aromatic compound having a glycidyl or anhydride group and an unsaturated bond-containing compound having a glycidyl or anhydride group. In the whole hyperbranched polymer, the concentration of the aromatic ring introduced by the above monocyclic aromatic compound is 3000 eq/ton or more and less than 5000 eq/ton.
