Abstract

A liquid crystal aligning agent, a liquid crystal alignment film formed by utilizing the liquid crystal aligning agent, and a liquid crystal display device including the liquid crystal alignment film are provided. In the liquid crystal aligning agent, the main chain may be controlled by photo-alignment treatment and pretilt angle of liquid crystal can be optionally given. The liquid crystal aligning agent is to form the liquid crystal alignment film for the liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal aligning agent is prepared to imidize the film after irradiating a substrate coating polyamic acid with a light wherein polarized light is controllable. In the step, the main chain ofpolyimide is aligned to a particular direction in the liquid crystal alignment film and performs the pretilt angle of liquid crystal. The liquid crystal aligning agent may be utilized to form a liquid crystal alignment film, and a liquid crystal display device including the liquid crystal alignment film may be fabricated.
