Abstract

To provide a transflective liquid crystal display device solving various problems and preventing degradation in display characteristics. The transflective liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal layer 29 held between a TFT array substrate and a counter substrate having a counter electrode 28. The TFT array substrate has a gate wiring 2, a source wiring 10 and a TFT, and further has a first interlayer dielectric 15 covering the gate wiring 2, the source wiring 10 and the TFT and at least partly having a concave-convex pattern 16. The TFT array substrate has a reflection film 17 on the concave-convex pattern 16 of the first interlayer dielectric 15, and a second interlayer dielectric 19 formed to cover the reflection film 17. The display device has a pixel electrode 23 disposed on the second interlayer dielectric 19 in a region where the reflection film 17 is disposed and that is electrically connected to the TFT.
