Abstract

A portable workstation can be folded so as to be readily portable, and has a seat portion and a table portion for holding a book, electronic device, and papers, among other things. The tray portion is adapted for use with electronics equipment, wherein the tray portion provides a support for the electronic device. The workstation has a main leg pivotably connected to a pair of legs. An umbrella can be connected to the workstation in the folded condition of the workstation, and can be opened and adjustably positioned in the unfolded condition of the workstation. The materials used for the workstation are very lightweight to render the workstation readily portable and stowable, and yet because of the inventive design the workstation is sufficiently strong to provide durability. In another embodiment, similar in structure to that of the workstation, wherein a seat is provided, but omitting a table portion. A cane handle can be provided at the upper end of the workstation, so that in the folded condition the workstation can be used as a cane with a handle. While outside, a user may need protection from the elements, such as from the sun, rain, sleet, or even snow, and can deploy the umbrella. Additionally, the umbrella can serve to prevent glare from electronic devices by shielding them from direct sunlight.

The present invention relates to portable and foldable workstations. This workstation can optionally be used as a seat or seating device for outdoor activities. The invention belongs to the technical field of furniture. More specifically, the present invention pertains to the technical field of workstations, foldable workstations, and all-weather workstations. This workstation can optionally be simplified to a portable seating device by omitting a work holding surface such as a table or tray portion.

Background of the invention

In the advancement of technology changes, the demand for portable workstations and workstation devices is quite high. In particular, there is a need for a portable workstation that can be folded for easy carrying and has a seat portion and a table portion for holding books, electronic devices and paper. Several workstation devices are known in the furniture and craft industry.

Conventional techniques are difficult to manufacture portable and foldable and easy to install workstation devices. In addition, these workstation devices should be easily removable or foldable and should be easily retrievable. More specifically, these workstation devices should have a work support tray and should be stable and lightweight during use.

Outdoor folding seats are also known, in particular for outdoor folding seats having flexible fabric seats like hammocks in operation. However, such outdoor folding seats are not suitable for use as portable workstations.

There are no disadvantages in the prior art devices that are suitable to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art. Accordingly, the prior art has the need to provide a convenient, lightweight, portable workstation with outdoor support such as a shelf or table portion. More specifically, the prior art has been provided for use in the outdoor, and thus additionally includes a covering or covering portion for providing the user with a cover that naturally forms the sun, snow and rain that is naturally formed outdoors. In a preferred embodiment, the workstation includes a foldable seat and a foldable tray.

The workstation of the present invention also includes an adjustable umbrella. The umbrella can be mounted to the pole by a ratchet mount such that it can be set at several different angles to provide protection from the sun or rain. This umbrella can be easily folded when not in use.

The remaining objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description.

Detailed description of the preferred embodiment

The invention has three aspects as described below. By way of example, the first aspect of the present invention is a portable workstation as shown in Figures 1 through 13 for use in electronic devices such as tablets, smart phones, notebook computers, and network computers. Here, the table portion or the tray portion can provide support for the electronic device. The materials used in the workstations are of very light weight to make the workstation easy to carry and collect, and as a result of the innovative design, the workstation of the present invention is sufficiently robust to provide durability.

Another feature of the workstation of the present invention is an adjustable position umbrella that provides protection from the sun when used outdoors, such that screen glare does not impede the use of the electronic device. When used indoors, the umbrella portion can be positioned unusually, or it can be omitted or removed altogether. The workstation of the present invention therefore has the advantage of being usable both indoors and outdoors.

A second aspect of the invention is a portable seat having built-in anti-natural protection options. This configuration is similar to the construction of the workstation described above, omitting the table portion and is shown in Figures 13-16. This type of portable seat can be used to participate in outdoor public events, such as outdoor sports, political and religious events, and outdoor family gatherings. This type of portable seat also helps hikers and tourists who may need to rest during travel and need protection from the sun or rain. The materials used in the workstation are very light to make the workstation easy to carry and collect, and as a result of the innovative design, the workstation of the present invention is robust enough to provide durability.

The third aspect of the invention is that it can function as a wand having grips as clearly shown in Figures 4 and 16. It can be used by any individual. The person carrying the stick may also need to be able to sit and rest during a walk or long walk, and thus the stick of the present invention can be converted into a seat, as shown in Figures 1 and 13. When outdoors, individuals may need protection from natural forces such as the sun, snow, freezing rain or even rain. Figure 1 is a side elevational view of a weather integrated dock workstation having a table portion 40, which shows the side of the weather integrated dock workstation in an operational position. The table member lever 32 is telescopically received on the main leg 16, and is fixed by a spring biasing button 33 that connects the main leg 16 and the table member lever 32. A pair of feet 28 are pivotally coupled to the main leg 16 at a pivot member 26.

The pair of legs 28 are coupled to the seat 20 by a pivot member 22 and thereby support the distal end of the seat 20. The proximal end of the seat 20 is coupled to the primary foot 16 by an attachment member 18 that is slidably mounted to the primary foot 16.

In Figures 1 and 2, the umbrella 10 is attached to the wand grip 12. The spring biased button 11 extends through the aperture 21 in the umbrella grip (see Figure 3) to lock the umbrella when the umbrella grip is pushed over the rotating component of the grip grip 131. This can be fixed by the method shown in Figures 9 to 12 and the umbrella installed as discussed below. The remainder of the method of attaching the umbrella 10 to the wand 12 is considered to be within the scope of the present invention and is known to those skilled in the art of fasteners or mechanical assemblies. All such variations are considered to be within the scope of the invention.

The details of the components of the wand 12 and the associated locking process by the button 15 are illustrated in Figures 9, 10, 11 and 12. In Fig. 1, the umbrella attachment device 14 is shown in its released state. The umbrella attachment device 14 has two flexible arms, including a button on one arm and a plurality of holes on the other arm for tying adjustment. Alternative fastener configurations may use a conventional type of snap fastener or a press belt made of fastener material. All such variations are considered to be within the scope of the invention.

When moving or traveling while carrying the weather integrated stick workstation or the weather integrated stick seat of the present invention, the tip of the umbrella 10 is fixed by the umbrella holding device 30 during use, and the umbrella grip is supported by the umbrella The tying device 14 is fixed so that it can be stably connected to the main leg 16. The umbrella holding device 30 is fixed to the main leg 16. The seat platform 20 is coupled to the main leg 16 by a connector 18 and is coupled to the other leg 28 by a pivot member 22. The shaft member 26, which allows the pivoting action of the bolt or other connector, holds the main foot 16 and the pair of legs 28 pivotally engaged and allows it to rotate against each other to fold or open the seat. A sturdy but flexible seat platform fixture 24 is secured to the seat platform 20. The fixture 24 is used to securely attach the seat platform 20 to the primary wand 16 when the seat system is in the folded or disassembled position. The fixture 24 can be a strap having two arms, similar to the foregoing description of the umbrella holder 30, including a button on one arm and a number of holes in the other arm for tying adjustment. Alternative fastener configurations may use a conventional type of snap fastener or a press belt made of fastener material. All such variations are considered to be within the scope of the invention.

The main leg 16 has two holes 31 (shown in Figures 1, 2, 5 and 6) and 39 (shown in Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6) for snapping with the button 33 on the inside of the table member bar 32. The locking operation is such that when the table foot member 32 is moved against the main foot 16, the table member lever 32 is locked in the push-in or pull-out position. The table member lever 32 has guide grooves 35 on both sides to guide the table member lever 32 during movement inside the main leg 16. The wand grip 12 is attached to the top of the table member bar 32 of the wand workstation (shown on Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4) or the top of the main leg 16 of the wand seat (shown on pages 13, 14 , 15 and 16)).

In the first drawing, the table portion 40 is shown in its open horizontal position and is supported by the table member lever 32 via the connecting device 38 and the triangular steel rod 36. The attachment device 38 does not move relative to the table member lever 32, but allows the table portion 40 to rotate toward or away from the table member lever 32. The connecting device 37 is disposed below the table portion 40 from the distal end portion of the table portion 40 from the connecting device 38. The attachment device 37 is generally cylindrical and has a hollow interior and holds one side of the triangular steel rod 36 to allow the steel triangle to rotate toward or away from the table 40. Other types of attachment means can be used for the attachment means 37, such as a flat plate that is deformed into a semi-cylindrical recess, and other shapes that can hold the triangular steel rod 36 while allowing the pivot to move.

Both ends of the wire or rod 36 are joined to each other to form a triangular tip. These ends then form a sector after joining and form a semi-circular collar. In Figures 3 and 4, the workstation is shown in its folded form. The umbrella 10 has been detached and attached to the primary wand 16 by the umbrella holding device 30 and the umbrella tying device 14 as described above. The rotating component of the wand grip 12 is shown locked in a downward position for movement of the stick, that is, for use as a wand. When the umbrella is installed, the hole 21 shown in the figure 3 on the umbrella grip is used for the opening of the button 11. The button 33 is in the locked position via the opening or hole 31. The table portion 40 is detached from the top of the seat 20 and the wire 36 is disposed between the table 40 and the seat 20.

Figure 9 is a side perspective view showing the rotatable umbrella support portion of the grip portion of the device shown in Figures 1 through 4. As shown in Fig. 9, the rotating member 121 of the wand grip 12 is displayed separately. In Fig. 10, the non-rotating members 122 of the wand 12 are shown separately. The button 11 is displayed as a black circle because it is directed outside the paper. Button 15 is shown in its released (extended) position. It is positioned at 90 degrees with respect to the button 11.

Component 121 has a plurality of teeth or arms that terminate in distal portion 123. The distal end portion 123 is individually bent at the end of the rotating member 121 of the wand grip 12 to lock the rotating and non-rotating members of the wand grip. A plurality of cutting openings 126 are disposed between the arms to define the arms. These cutting openings 126 provide flexibility when the rotating member 121 is pushed into the non-rotating member 122 of the wand grip 12. These cuts will allow it to be squeezed through the locking ring 13 that is fixed to the inside of the non-rotating member 122 of the grip.

Figure 10 is a side perspective view of the non-rotating portion 122 of the grip portion of the device shown in Figures 1 through 4, and the non-rotating portion 122 supports the rotatable umbrella support portion of Figure 9. As shown, the portion 122 has a plurality of aperture openings 124, any of which can accommodate a button or tip 15. This allows the relative rotational position to be changed between the portion 121 of Fig. 9 and the portion 122 of Fig. 10.

In Fig. 10, the locking ring 13 is fixed to the inside of the non-rotating member 122 of the wand grip. The locking ring 13 has a slope on one side to allow the rotating member 121 of the wand grip 12 to enter and be squeezed through when the two members 121 and 122 are integrated.

Figure 11 is a side perspective view of the integrated wand grip when the rotatable umbrella support portion 121 of Figure 9 is fully pushed into the non-rotating portion 122 of the wand portion of the wand shown in Figure 10. The tip 15 remains retracted when the rotatable umbrella support portion is rotated and thus not set in the fixed position.

Fig. 11 shows that there is sufficient space for the grip rotating member 121 to be pushed against the grip non-rotating member 122, and the button 15 is in a compressed state. The user can then rotate to select the angle and pull the rotating member 121 of the grip 12 to allow the button 15 to lock into the selection opening 124.

Fig. 12 is an integrated stick grip shown in Fig. 11 when the rotatable umbrella support portion 121 of Fig. 9 is almost completely pushed into the non-rotating portion 122 of the wand portion of the wand shown in Fig. 10. Claims (15)

A collapsible workstation having a seat and a table, having a folded state and an unfolded state, and acting as a workstation having a seat and a table in the unfolded state, comprising: a main foot; a pair a pivotally connected to the foot of the main foot; a foldable seat portion; a foldable table portion; a rod connected to the main foot; and a stick grip supported by the rod; The workstation has a folded position that is convenient to carry and easy to store, and an unfolded state in which the workstation includes a seat and a table.
