本發明關於一種密封劑,其使用以包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元的聚合物嵌段及包含來自共軛二烯由来之結構單元的聚合物嵌段所構成之嵌段共聚物。
密封劑係用於建築、電、汽車等之廣泛的產業領域。密封劑中有交聯型與熱熔型,交聯型中有矽酮系密封劑、胺基甲酸酯系密封劑、多硫化物系密封劑、加硫橡膠系密封劑等,另一方面,熱熔型中有EVA系密封劑、軟質氯乙烯系密封劑、丁基橡膠系密封劑、苯乙烯系熱可塑性彈性體等之熱可塑性彈性體系密封劑等。密封劑,作為為了得到水密性或氣密性而填充於接縫的材料,廣泛使用於汽車或建材等。對於密封劑需要高氣密性,而且雖因使用的用途而異,但大多情況中需要具有柔軟性或高機械強度等之特性。
對於需要如前述的特性之部位,現狀為在工場或作業現場使用填充有矽酮系密封劑、胺基甲酸酯系密封劑、多硫化物系密封劑等之反應性固化型密封劑的儲存匣,在密封部分之組裝時或組裝後進行前述反應性固化型密封劑之填充或接著,或者使用天然橡膠或合成
橡膠系之成形填料(packing),在組裝時進行其安裝,或者將丁基橡膠系密封劑或苯乙烯系熱可塑性彈性體系密封劑等之熱熔密封劑於密封部分之組裝時塗布後進行組裝。
例如,專利文獻1中揭示含有高分子量苯乙烯系嵌段共聚物的熱熔組成物,並揭示該熱熔組成物對於難接著性之聚烯烴系樹脂素材也具有充分的接著性,即使放置在高溫下也不會劣化,且黏合性、密封性等均優異。
又,專利文獻2中揭示包含含有「以包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元的聚合物嵌段及包含來自共軛二烯之結構單元的聚合物嵌段所構成之嵌段共聚物的氫化物」之熱可塑性彈性體組成物的熱熔密封劑,且揭示該熱熔密封劑,其柔軟性、加工性、耐熱性、制振性、氧氣阻隔性等均優異。
再者,專利文獻3、4中,雖有記載β-菌綠烯之聚合物,但對於實用的用途並沒有充分探討。

然而,近年來伴隨油電混合車及電動汽車(electric automobile)之普及,變得需要至今為止之僅有內燃機的引擎汽車所不在意的靠近4,000赫茲之高頻率區域的隔音性及制振性之提升,且以往之使用熱可塑性彈性體組成物的密封劑無法充分滿足該等之需求性能,而需要進一步的性能提升。
但是,本發明的課題在於提供一種成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且即使在高溫下,靠近4,000赫茲之高頻率區域的隔音性及制振性(振動衰減特性)也優異之密封劑。
本案發明人等仔細探討的結果發現:包含具有來自菌綠烯之結構單元的特定之嵌段共聚物或其氫化物的密封劑可解決前述課題,進而完成本發明。
亦即,本發明為一種密封劑,其係包含嵌段共聚物(A),該嵌段共聚物(A)含有:聚合物嵌段(a):包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元;以及聚合物嵌段(b):含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2);且聚合物嵌段(a)及聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為5/95~45/55。
根據本發明,可提供一種成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且即使在高溫下,靠近4,000赫茲之高頻率區域的隔音性及制振性(振動衰減特性)也優異之密封劑。
本發明的密封劑為一種包含嵌段共聚物(A)之密封劑,該嵌段共聚物(A)含有:聚合物嵌段(a):包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元;以及聚合物嵌段(b):含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2);且聚合物嵌段(a)及聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為5/95~45/55。
本發明所使用的嵌段共聚物(A)為一種嵌段共聚物,其含有:聚合物嵌段(a):包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元;以及聚合物嵌段(b):含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2);且聚合物嵌段(a)及聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為5/95~45/55。
前述聚合物嵌段(a)係以來自芳香族乙烯化
合物之結構單元構成。作為該芳香族乙烯化合物,例如,可舉出苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、2-甲基苯乙烯、3-甲基苯乙烯、4-甲基苯乙烯、4-丙基苯乙烯、4-第三丁基苯乙烯、4-環己基苯乙烯、4-十二基苯乙烯、2,4-二甲基苯乙烯、2,4-二異丙基苯乙烯、2,4,6-三甲基苯乙烯、2-乙基-4-苯甲基苯乙烯、4-(苯基丁基)苯乙烯、1-乙烯萘、2-乙烯萘、乙烯蒽、N,N-二乙基-4-胺乙基苯乙烯、乙烯吡啶、4-甲氧基苯乙烯、單氯苯乙烯、二氯苯乙烯及二乙烯苯等。該等之芳香族乙烯化合物,可為單獨1種或併用2種以上。其中,更佳為苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、4-甲基苯乙烯之1種或2種以上,再更佳為苯乙烯。
從成形加工性、柔軟性、黏接著性等之觀點,聚合物嵌段(a)之峰頂分子量(peak top molecular weight)(Mp)為4,000~100,000較佳,5,000~80,000更佳,6,000~60,000再更佳。
再者,本說明書的峰頂分子量(Mp)意指以後述之記載於實施例的方法所測定的數值。
前述聚合物嵌段(b)含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2)。結構單元(b1)可為α-菌綠烯或下述式(I)所示之來自β-菌綠烯的結構單元之任一者,但從嵌段共聚物(A)之製造容易性的觀點,來自β-菌綠烯之結構單元較佳。再者,α-菌綠烯與β-菌綠烯亦可組合而使用。
作為構成來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2)的共軛二烯,例如,可舉出丁二烯、異戊二烯、2,3-二甲基丁二烯、2-苯基-丁二烯、1,3-戊二烯、2-甲基-1,3-戊二烯、1,3-己二烯、1,3-辛二烯、1,3-環己二烯、2-甲基-1,3-辛二烯、1,3,7-辛三烯、月桂油烯及氯丁二烯等。該等可為單獨1種或併用2種以上。其中,更佳為丁二烯、異戊二烯及月桂油烯之1種或2種以上,再更佳為丁二烯及/或異戊二烯。
聚合物嵌段(b)含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2)。來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1)的含量小於1質量%時,密封劑之成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性下降,而且高溫下之隔音性及制振性下降。聚合物嵌段(b)中之結構單元(b1)的含量為30~100質量%較佳,45~100質量%更佳。又,聚合物嵌段(b)含有來自菌綠烯以外之共軛二烯的結構單元(b2)時,結構單元(b2)的含量為70質量%以下較佳,55質量%以下更佳。
又,本發明之密封劑含有後述之軟化劑(B)時,前述聚合物嵌段(b)所含有之來自菌綠烯的結構單元(b1)之含量為30~90質量%更佳,45~85質量%再更佳。來自菌綠烯以外之共軛二烯的結構單元(b2)之含量為10~70質量%更佳,15~55質量%再更佳。
本發明的密封劑不含有後述之軟化劑(B)時,前述聚合物嵌段(b)所含有之來自菌綠烯的結構單元(b1)之含量為50~100質量%更佳,70~100質量%再更佳,90~100質量%再更佳,100質量%再更佳。來自菌綠烯以外之共軛二烯的結構單元(b2)之含量為50質量%以下更佳,30質量%以下再更佳,10質量%以下再更佳。
又,從黏接著性、耐熱性、耐候性之提升的觀點,聚合物嵌段(b)中的構成單元(b1)及構成單元(b2)之合計含量宜為80質量%以上,較佳為90質量%以上,更佳為95質量%以上,再更佳為99質量%以上,再更佳為100質量%。
從黏接著性、耐熱性、耐候性之提升的觀點,用於本發明的嵌段共聚物(A),其聚合物嵌段(b)的不飽和雙鍵(碳-碳雙鍵)之一部分或全部可被氫化。此時之聚合物嵌段(b)的氫化率為70莫耳%以上較佳,80莫耳%以上更佳,85莫耳%以上再更佳。
再者,聚合物嵌段(b)之不飽和雙鍵的氫化率,可在氫化之前後,將聚合物嵌段(b)之不飽和雙鍵的含量藉由碘價測定、紅外分光光度計(IR)、核磁共振(1H-NMR)等而測定,且自其測定值求得。
聚合物嵌段(a)及聚合物嵌段(b)的鍵結形態並沒有特別限制,可為直線狀、分支狀、放射狀或該等之2個以上的組合。其中,各嵌段鍵結為直線狀的形態較佳,在將聚合物嵌段(a)以a表示、將聚合物嵌段(b)以b表示時,(a-b)l、a-(b-a)m或b-(a-b)n所示之鍵結形
態較佳。再者,前述l、m及n各別獨立並表示1以上的整數。
其中,作為嵌段共聚物(A),包含聚合物嵌段(a)2個以上、及聚合物嵌段(b)1個以上的嵌段共聚物較佳,作為前述鍵結形態,從得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且在高溫下之隔音性及制振性均優異的密封劑之觀點,a-b-a所示之三嵌段共聚物較佳。
又,嵌段共聚物(A)具有聚合物嵌段(a)2個以上或聚合物嵌段(b)2個以上時,各別的聚合物嵌段可為包含相同結構單元的聚合物嵌段,亦可為包含不同結構單元的聚合物嵌段。例如,在[a-b-a]所示之三嵌段共聚物的2個聚合物嵌段(a)中,各別的芳香族乙烯化合物其種類可相同,也可不同。
嵌段共聚物(A)中的聚合物嵌段(a)與聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為5/95~45/55。在該範圍外時,無法得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且在高溫下之隔音性及制振性均優異的密封劑。從該觀點,聚合物嵌段(a)與聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為10/90~45/55較佳,10/90~40/60更佳,10/90~35/65再更佳。
嵌段共聚物(A),除了前述聚合物嵌段(a)與聚合物嵌段(b)以外,只要不損及本發明之主旨,則亦可含有以其他單體所構成之聚合物嵌段(c)。
作為該其他的單體,例如,可舉出丙烯、1-丁烯、1-戊烯、4-甲基-1-戊烯、1-己烯、1-辛烯、1-癸烯、1-
十一烯、1-十二烯、1-十三烯、1-十四烯、1-十五烯、1-十六烯、1-十七烯、1-十八烯、1-十九烯、1-二十烯等之不飽和烴化合物;丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯腈、甲基丙烯腈、馬來酸、富馬酸、巴豆酸、衣康酸、2-丙烯醯基乙磺酸、2-甲基丙烯醯基乙磺酸、2-丙烯醯胺-2-甲基丙磺酸、2-甲基丙烯醯胺-2-甲基丙磺酸、乙烯磺酸、乙酸乙烯酯、甲基乙烯醚等之含有官能基的不飽和化合物等。該等可為單獨1種或併用2種以上。
嵌段共聚物(A)具有聚合物嵌段(c)時,其含量為50質量%以下較佳,40質量%以下更佳,30質量%以下再更佳,10質量%以下最佳。
又,嵌段共聚物(A)中之前述聚合物嵌段(a)與聚合物嵌段(b)的合計含量,較佳為50質量%以上,更佳為60質量%以上,再更佳為70質量%以上,再更佳為90質量%以上。
從成形加工性、柔軟性、黏接著性等之觀點,嵌段共聚物(A)之峰頂分子量(Mp)為4,000~500,000較佳,9,000~400,000更佳,50,000~400,000再更佳,70,000~390,000最佳。
再者,本說明書之峰頂分子量(Mp)意指以後述之記載於實施例的方法所測定的數值。
嵌段共聚物(A)之分子量分布(Mw/Mn)為1~4較佳,1~3更佳,1~2再更佳。分子量分布在前述範圍內時,嵌段共聚物(A)之黏度分散度小,且處理為容易。
從得到的密封劑的加工成形性之提升的觀點,嵌段共聚物(A)以記載於實施例之條件所測定的熔融流動率(melt flow rate)(MFR)宜為1g/10分以上,較佳為10g/10分以上,更佳為30g/10分以上,再更佳為40g/10分以上。
又,從得到的密封劑的柔軟性之提升的觀點,嵌段共聚物(A)以記載於實施例之條件所測定的硬度(A型硬度(type A hardness))宜為60以下,較佳為55以下,更佳為40以下,再更佳為30以下,再更佳為10以下。又,從強度的觀點,該硬度較佳為1以上,更佳為2以上,再更佳為3以上。
又,從擔保得到之密封劑的黏接著性之機能的觀點,嵌段共聚物(A)以記載於實施例之條件所測定的黏著力較佳為0.2以上,更佳為0.5以上,再更佳為0.7以上。
又,從在高溫下之隔音性及制振性均優異的觀點,嵌段共聚物(A)在40~80℃的範圍內、4,000赫茲之頻率的振動條件下之損失係數宜為0.070以上,較佳為0.075以上,更佳為0.080以上,再更佳為0.085以上。損失係數在該範圍內時,得到之本發明的密封劑,因為制振性進一步提升,且可吸收來自外部的振動,所以隔音性也提升。
嵌段共聚物(A),可利用溶液聚合法或是記載於日本特表2012-502135號公報、日本特表2012-502136號公報的方法等進行製造。其中尤以溶液聚合法較佳,
例如,可應用陰離子聚合或陽離子聚合等之離子聚合法、自由基聚合法等之周知的方法。其中,尤以陰離子聚合法較佳。
作為陰離子聚合法,可在溶媒、陰離子聚合起始劑、及視需要之路易士鹼之存在下,逐次添加芳香族乙烯化合物、菌綠烯及/或菌綠烯以外之共軛二烯,並視需要添加構成聚合物嵌段(c)之其他的單體,得到嵌段共聚物(A)。
作為陰離子聚合起始劑,例如,可舉出鋰、鈉、鉀等之鹼金屬;鈹、鎂、鈣、鍶、鋇等之鹼土金屬;鑭、釹等之鑭系稀土金屬;含有前述鹼金屬、鹼土金屬、鑭系稀土金屬的化合物等。其中尤以鹼金屬及含有鹼金屬的化合物較佳,且有機鹼金屬化合物更佳。
作為前述有機鹼金屬化合物,例如,可舉出甲基鋰、乙基鋰、正丁基鋰、第二丁基鋰、第三丁基鋰、己基鋰、苯基鋰、二苯乙烯鋰、二鋰甲烷(dilithiomethane)、二鋰萘(dilithionaphthalene)、1,4-二鋰丁烷、1,4-二鋰-2-乙基環己烷、1,3,5-三鋰苯等之有機鋰化合物;萘鈉(sodium naphthalene)、萘鉀(potassium naphthalene)等。其中尤以有機鋰化合物較佳,正丁基鋰、第二丁基鋰更佳,第二丁基鋰特佳。再者,有機鹼金屬化合物,亦可與二異丙胺、二丁胺、二己胺、二苯甲胺等之2級胺反應,作為有機鹼金屬醯胺使用。
使用於聚合的有機鹼金屬化合物之使用量,雖然因嵌段共聚物(A)之分子量而異,但相對於芳香族乙烯化合
物、菌綠烯及菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之總量,通常為0.01~3質量%的範圍。
作為溶媒,只要對陰離子聚合反應沒有不良影響則沒有特別限制,例如,可舉出正戊烷、異戊烷、正己烷、正庚烷、異辛烷等之飽和脂肪族烴;環戊烷、環己烷、甲基環戊烷等之飽和脂環式烴;苯、甲苯、二甲苯等之芳香族烴等。該等可為單獨1種或併用2種以上。
路易士鹼有控制來自菌綠烯之結構單元及來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元的微結構之功能。作為該路易士鹼,例如,可舉出二丁醚、二乙醚、四氫呋喃(THF)、二烷、乙二醇二乙醚等之醚化合物;吡啶;N,N,N’,N’-四甲基乙二胺(TMEDA)、三甲胺等之3級胺;第三丁氧化鉀等之鹼金屬烷氧化物;膦化合物等。使用路易士鹼時,其量相對於陰離子聚合起始劑1莫耳,通常為0~1000莫耳當量的範圍較佳。
聚合反應之溫度,通常為-80~150℃,較佳為0~100℃,更佳為10~90℃的範圍。聚合反應之形式,可為批次式,亦可為連續式。可藉由以使聚合反應系中之芳香族乙烯化合物、菌綠烯及/或菌綠烯以外之共軛二烯的存在量成為特定範圍的方式將各單體連續或間斷地供給至聚合反應液中,或者藉由在聚合反應液中以使各單體成為特定比的方式依序聚合,而製造嵌段共聚物(A)。
聚合反應,可將甲醇、異丙醇等之醇作為聚合終止劑添加而終止。可藉由將得到的聚合反應液注入甲醇等
之貧溶媒,使嵌段共聚物(A)析出,或者藉由將聚合反應液以水清洗並分離後,進行乾燥,而單離嵌段共聚物(A)。
本聚合步驟如前述可得到未改質的嵌段共聚物(A),但在後述之氫化步驟之前,也可於前述嵌段共聚物(A)導入官能基,而得到改質的嵌段共聚物(A)。作為可導入的官能基,例如,可舉出胺基、烷氧矽烷基、羥基、環氧基、羧基、羰基、巰基、異氰酸酯基、酸酐等。
作為嵌段共聚物(A)之改質方法,例如,可舉出在添加聚合終止劑之前,添加可與聚合活性末端反應的四氯化錫、四氯矽烷、二甲基二氯矽烷、二甲基二乙氧矽烷、四甲氧矽烷、四乙氧矽烷、3-胺丙基三乙氧矽烷、四縮水甘油基-1,3-雙胺甲基環己烷、2,4-甲苯二異氰酸酯、4,4’-雙(二乙胺基)二苯甲酮、N-乙烯吡咯啶酮等之改質劑、或記載於日本特開2011-132298號公報之其他的改質劑之方法。又,也可對單離後之共聚物使馬來酸酐等接枝化而使用。
導入官能基的位置,可為嵌段共聚物(A)之聚合末端,亦可為側鏈。又,上述官能基可為單獨1種或組合2種以上。上述改質劑,相對於陰離子聚合起始劑,通常為0.01~10莫耳當量之範圍較佳。
可將利用前述方法得到的嵌段共聚物(A)或經改質的嵌段共聚物(A)直接作為嵌段共聚物(A),但也可將藉由附加氫化該嵌段共聚物(A)之步驟而得到的氫化嵌段共聚物作為嵌段共聚物(A)使用。氫化的方法,可使用周知的方法。例如,可在不會對氫化反應造成影響
的溶媒使嵌段共聚物(A)溶解的溶液中,使齊格勒系觸媒;碳、二氧化矽、矽藻土等所載持的鎳、鉑、鈀、釕或銠金屬觸媒;具有鈷、鎳、鈀、銠或釕金屬的有機金屬錯合物等作為氫化觸媒存在而進行氫化反應。其中,將在碳載持鈀的鈀碳作為氫化觸媒使用較佳。
在氫化反應中,氫壓為0.1~20MPa較佳,反應溫度為100~200℃較佳,反應時間為1~20小時較佳。
本發明的密封劑,從賦予柔軟性的目的之觀點,亦可含有軟化劑(B)。作為該軟化劑(B),例如,可舉出石蠟系、環烷烴系、芳香族系之加工油;苯二甲酸二辛酯、苯二甲酸二丁酯等之苯二甲酸衍生物;白油;礦物油;乙烯與α-烯烴之液狀共寡聚物(co-oligomer);流動石蠟;聚丁烯;低分子量聚異丁烯;液狀聚丁二烯、液狀聚異戊二烯、液狀聚異戊二烯/丁二烯共聚物、液狀苯乙烯/丁二烯共聚物、液狀苯乙烯/異戊二烯共聚物等之液狀聚二烯及其氫化物等。其中,從與嵌段共聚物(A)的相容性之觀點,石蠟系加工油;乙烯與α-烯烴之液狀共寡聚物;流動石蠟;低分子量聚異丁烯;以及該等之氫化物較佳,石蠟系加工油之氫化物更佳。
從得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且損失係數高的密封劑之觀點,軟化劑(B)之含有比例,相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為10~200質量份的範圍,更佳為20~150質量份的範圍。又,從得到柔軟性非常優異的密封劑之觀點,軟化劑(B)之含有比
例,相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為10~500質量份,更佳為50~400質量份,再更佳為100~350質量份。
本發明的密封劑中,從得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且損失係數高的密封劑之觀點,可進一步含有聚苯醚系樹脂(C)。作為該聚苯醚系樹脂(C),例如,可使用具有下述通式(II)所示之結構單元的聚合物。
(式中,R1、R2、R3、及R4各別獨立,並表示氫原子、鹵素原子、烴基、取代烴基、烷氧基、氰基、苯氧基或硝基。)
作為聚苯醚系樹脂(C),上述通式(II)之R1及R2為烷基,特別是碳原子數1~4的烷基較佳。又,上述通式(II)之R3及R4為氫原子或碳原子數1~4之烷基較佳。
作為聚苯醚系樹脂(C),例如,可舉出聚(2,6-二甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二乙基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2-甲基-6-乙基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2-甲基-6-丙基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二丙基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2-乙基-6-丙基-1,4-
伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二甲氧基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二氯甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二溴甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二苯基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二甲苯基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二氯-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,6-二苯甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚、聚(2,5-二甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚等。其中特佳的聚苯醚系樹脂(C)為聚(2,6-二甲基-1,4-伸苯基)醚。又,該等亦可利用具有極性基的改質劑進行改質。作為極性基,例如,可舉出酸鹵化物、羰基、酸酐、酸醯胺、羧酸酯、醯疊氮、碸基、腈基、氰基、異氰酸酯、胺基、醯亞胺基、羥基、環氧基、唑啉基、硫醇基等。又,該等之聚苯醚系樹脂,亦可為與聚苯乙烯樹脂之混合物。
本發明所使用的聚苯醚系樹脂(C),作為數量平均分子量,1,000~250,000的範圍較佳,考慮到各種物性的平衡時,5,000~150,000之範圍特佳。
在本發明的密封劑中含有聚苯醚系樹脂(C)時,從得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且損失係數高的密封劑之觀點,相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份為5~60質量份的範圍較佳,10~60質量份的範圍更佳。
本發明的密封劑中,只要在不損及本發明之主旨的範圍內,則可視需要含有增黏樹脂(D)。該增黏樹脂(D),沒有特別限制,可使用自以往作為賦予黏著性之樹脂而使用者。例如,可舉出松脂膠、松油松香、木松香、氫化松香、不均化松香、聚合松香、該等之甘油酯、
季戊四醇酯等之松香酯等之松香系樹脂;將α-蒎烯、β-蒎烯、二戊烯等作為主體的萜烯樹脂、芳香族改質萜烯樹脂、氫化萜烯樹脂、萜烯酚樹脂等之萜烯系樹脂;(氫化)脂肪族系(C5系)石油樹脂、(氫化)芳香族系(C9系)石油樹脂、(氫化)共聚合系(C5/C9系)石油樹脂、(氫化)二環戊二烯系石油樹脂、脂環式飽和烴樹脂等之亦可氫化的石油樹脂;聚α-甲基苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯/苯乙烯共聚物、苯乙烯系單體/脂肪族系單體共聚物、苯乙烯系單體/α-甲基苯乙烯/脂肪族系單體共聚物、苯乙烯系單體共聚物、苯乙烯系單體/苯乙烯系單體以外的芳香族系單體共聚物等之苯乙烯系樹脂、苯并呋喃-茚系樹脂、酚系樹脂、二甲苯樹脂等之合成樹脂等。
該等之中,從密封劑的著色抑制之觀點,氫化萜烯樹脂、脂環式飽和烴樹脂、脂肪族系石油樹脂較佳。該等可單獨使用,亦可併用2種以上。含有增黏樹脂(D)時,從得到成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且損失係數高的密封劑之觀點,其量相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份為1~200質量份的範圍較佳,5~180質量份的範圍更佳,5~150質量份的範圍再更佳。再者,關於增黏樹脂(D)之軟化點,從耐熱性之觀點,50℃~150℃者較佳,80℃~150℃者更佳。
本發明的密封劑,只要在不損及本發明之主旨的範圍內,則亦可視需要進行交聯。進行交聯時,亦可添加自由基產生劑、硫或硫化合物等之交聯劑,甚至視需要添加交聯助劑而進行混練。
作為自由基產生劑,例如,可舉出第三丁基氫過氧化物、異丙苯氫過氧化物、2,5-二甲基己烷-2,5-二氫過氧化物等之氫過氧化物;二-第三丁基過氧化物、第三丁基異丙苯基過氧化物、二異丙苯基過氧化物、α,α’-雙(第三丁基過氧基)-p-二異丙基苯、2,5-二甲基-2,5-二(第三丁基過氧基)己烷、2,5-二甲基-2,5-二(第三丁基過氧基)-己炔-3等之二烷基過氧化物;乙醯基過氧化物、琥珀酸過氧化物、苯甲醯基過氧化物等之二醯基過氧化物;過氧乙酸第三丁酯、過氧異丁酸第三丁酯、第三丁基過氧異丙基甲酸酯等之過氧化酯、甲基乙酮過氧化物、環己酮過氧化物等之酮過氧化物等之有機過氧化物;過氧化氫、過硫酸鹽、金屬氧化物等之無機過氧化物、偶氮化合物、單及二硫化物、金屬螯合物、氧化還原起始劑等。使用該等之自由基產生劑時,相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為0.01~15質量份,更佳為在0.05~10質量份之範圍內使用。
作為使用自由基產生劑的交聯方法,例如,可舉出在加熱下將該熱可塑性彈性體組成物、自由基產生劑、及視需要之其他熱可塑性樹脂熔融混練的方法等。加熱溫度較佳為140~230℃,熔融混練,可採用擠製機、捏合機、輥、塑性測定器等之裝置,以批式或連續式進行。利用該熔融混練步驟進行交聯反應。
作為硫化合物,例如,可舉出一氯化硫、二氯化硫等。使用硫或硫化合物時,其添加量相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為0.1~20質量份,更佳為
0.2~10質量份。使用硫或硫化合物進行交聯時,併用硫化促進劑作為交聯助劑極為理想。
作為硫化促進劑,例如,可舉出N,N-二異丙基-2-苯并噻唑-亞磺醯胺、2-巰基苯并噻唑、2-(4-啉基二硫基)苯并噻唑等之噻唑類;二苯基胍、三苯基胍等之胍類;丁醛-苯胺反應物、六亞甲四胺-乙醛反應物等之醛-胺系反應物至醛-氨系反應物、2-巰基咪唑啉等之咪唑啉類;二苯硫脲、二乙基脲、二丁基硫脲、三甲基硫脲、二鄰甲苯基硫脲等之硫脲類;一硫化四甲基秋蘭姆(tetramethylthiouram monosulfide)、二硫化四甲基秋蘭姆(tetramethylthiouram disulfide)、四硫化五亞甲基秋蘭姆等之秋蘭姆單至多硫化物類;二甲基二硫胺基甲酸鋅、乙基苯基二硫基胺基甲酸鋅、二甲基二硫基胺基甲酸鈉、二甲基二硫基胺基甲酸硒、二乙基二硫基胺基甲酸碲等之硫基胺甲酸鹽類;二丁基黃原酸鋅等之黃原酸鹽類、有機過氧化物、氧化鋅等。該等之硫化促進劑可為1種,亦可併用2種以上。併用硫化促進劑時,其添加量相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為0.05~30質量份,更佳為0.1~20質量份,再更佳為0.2~10質量份。
本發明的密封劑,只要在不損及本發明之主旨的範圍內,則可視需要含有各種添加劑。作為該添加劑,例如,可舉出潤滑劑、填充劑、阻燃劑、抗氧化劑、熱安定劑、耐光劑、耐候劑、金屬減活劑、紫外線吸收劑、光安定劑、銅害抑制劑(copper inhibitor)、補強劑、抗靜電劑、抗菌劑、防黴劑、分散劑、著色劑、或聚乙
烯、聚丙烯等之聚烯烴系樹脂、異丁烯.異戊二烯共聚物、矽酮橡膠等之橡膠、乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物、ABS樹脂等之熱可塑性樹脂等。
其中,潤滑劑提升密封劑之流動性,同時具有抑制熱劣化的作用。作為可在本發明使用的潤滑劑,例如,可舉出矽油;固體石蠟、微晶蠟、聚乙烯蠟等之烴系潤滑劑;硬脂酸丁酯、硬脂酸單甘油酯、季戊四醇四硬脂酸酯、硬脂酸硬脂酯等。
作為抗氧化劑,可舉出受阻酚系抗氧化劑、磷酸系抗氧化劑。本發明之密封劑中含有填充劑時,相對於嵌段共聚物(A)100質量份較佳為1~20質量份,更佳為1~15質量份,再更佳為5~15質量份。
作為上述填充劑,例如,可舉出碳酸鈣、滑石、碳黑、氧化鈦、二氧化矽、黏土、硫酸鋇、碳酸鎂、玻璃纖維、碳纖維等,較佳為碳酸鈣。
本發明之密封劑中含有填充劑時,從柔軟性、制振性維持之觀點,相對於密封劑整體之質量100質量份為10~200質量份之範圍較佳,10~150質量份之範圍更佳。
作為上述阻燃劑,例如,可舉出三苯基膦、磷酸三烯丙酯、芳香族磷酸酯、多磷酸鹽、紅磷、2-乙基己基二苯基磷酸酯、磷酸三乙酯等之磷系阻燃劑;氫氧化鎂、氫氧化鋁等之無機系阻燃劑。
含有聚烯烴樹脂時,相對於密封劑整體之質量100質量份為1~100質量份的範圍較佳,5~50質量份的範圍更佳,5~30質量份的範圍再更佳。
再者,本發明的密封劑中之嵌段共聚物(A)、軟化劑(B)、聚苯醚系樹脂(C)、增黏樹脂(D)及前述之各種添加劑的合計含量宜為80質量%以上,較佳為90質量%以上,更佳為100質量%。
本發明的密封劑之製造方法沒有特別限制,可將前述之嵌段共聚物(A)直接作為密封劑使用。又,密封劑含有嵌段共聚物(A)以外之添加劑時,作為密封劑之製造方法,例如,可舉出將嵌段共聚物(A)、以及視需要之軟化劑(B)、聚苯醚系樹脂(C)、增黏樹脂(D)及其他的各種添加劑一次混合之後使用單軸擠製機、多軸擠製機、班布里混合機、加熱輥、各種捏合機等進行熔融混練的方法、或將嵌段共聚物(A)、以及視需要之軟化劑(B)、聚苯醚系樹脂(C)、增黏樹脂(D)及各種添加劑自各別的加入口供給而進行熔融混練的方法等。再者,作為混摻的方法,可舉出使用亨舍爾混合機(Henschel mixer)、高速混合機、V型摻合機(V blender)、帶式摻合機(ribbon blender)、滾筒摻合機(tumbler blender)、錐形摻合機等之混合機的方法。再者,熔融混練時之溫度,較佳可在120℃~300℃之範圍內任意地選擇。
從成形加工性之觀點,本發明的密封劑以記載於實施例之條件所測定的熔融流動率(MFR)宜為10g/10分以上,較佳為30g/10分以上,更佳為40g/10分以上,再更佳為50以上。
又,從柔軟性之觀點,本發明的密封劑以記載於實施例之條件所測定的硬度(A型硬度)宜為60以下,較佳為55以下,更佳為40以下,再更佳為30以下,再更佳為10以下。又,從強度之觀點,該硬度宜為0.1以上,較佳為0.5以上,更佳為1以上,再更佳為3以上。
但是,在需要非常高的柔軟性之用途使用本發明的密封劑時,以記載於實施例之條件所測定的C型硬度宜為100以下,較佳為50以下,而且從強度之觀點,較佳為1以上,更佳為3以上。
又,從黏接著性之觀點,本發明的密封劑以記載於實施例之條件所測定的黏著力宜為0.2N/25mm以上,較佳為0.5N/25mm以上,更佳為0.7N/25mm以上,再更佳為1以上。
又,從在高溫下之隔音性及制振性均優異的觀點,本發明的密封劑,在40~80℃之範圍內、4,000赫茲之頻率的振動條件下之損失係數宜為0.070以上,較佳為0.075以上,更佳為0.080以上,再更佳為0.085以上。該損失係數,可以記載於實施例的方法進行測定。
本發明的密封劑,例如,可作為熱熔密封劑適當地使用。又,本發明的密封劑,其損失係數高,因此隔音性及制振性均優異,所以也可適當使用作為隔音性密封劑、制振性密封劑(阻尼密封劑)。
特別是本發明之密封劑,在40~80℃之相較高溫下,4,000赫茲近傍之高頻率區域的損失係數也為優異,因此可適當使用作為如前述之高周波區域的噪音等之抑制用
的密封劑。例如,本發明的密封劑,可適當使用作為在高溫使用的汽車內之制振性密封劑(阻尼密封劑)而附著於汽車用零件等。
又,亦可併用本發明的密封劑與嵌段共聚物或其氫化物作為汽車用零件等之密封劑使用,該嵌段共聚物係以包含來自苯乙烯等之芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元的聚合物嵌段、及包含來自異戊二烯、丁二烯等之共軛二烯之結構單元的聚合物嵌段所構成。亦即,該等之嵌段共聚物或其氫化物,在40℃以下之溫度區域中具備靠近4,000赫茲之隔音性及制振性,但在40℃以上之高溫區域中,有靠近4,000赫茲之隔音性及制振性均差的情況。因此,藉由併用本發明的密封劑與前述嵌段共聚物或其氫化物,可提供由常溫延伸至高溫區域之隔音性及制振性均優異的密封劑。併用時,可混合本發明的密封劑與前述嵌段共聚物或其氫化物而使用,也可在對象物形成兩者的積層體。
又,藉由將本發明之密封劑應用例如熱壓、射出成形、擠製成形、輪壓成形等之以往周知的成形方法進行成形加工,可得到制振構件。如前述進行而得到的制振構件之形狀為任意,例如,可舉出圓盤狀、板狀、筒狀體等作為適當例。
以下根據實施例說明本發明,但本發明並沒有限定於該等之實施例。再者,β-菌綠烯(純度97.6質量%,Amyris,Inc公司製),係藉由利用3Å之分子篩精製,
且於氮環境下進行蒸餾,除去薑萜、沒藥烯(bisabolene)、菌綠烯環氧化物、菌綠烯醇異構物、E,E-菌綠烯醇、鯊烯、麥角固醇及菌綠烯之數種的二聚物等之烴系雜質而使用於以下之聚合。
苯乙烯嵌段之峰頂分子量(Mp)以及嵌段共聚物之峰頂分子量(Mp)及分子量分布(Mw/Mn),係利用GPC(凝膠滲透層析法)以標準聚苯乙烯換算分子量求出,並自分子量分布之峰的頂點的位置求出峰頂分子量(Mp)。測定裝置及條件如下述。

在各實施例及比較例中,將氫化前之嵌段共聚物及氫化後之嵌段共聚物(氫化嵌段共聚物)各別溶解於氘代氯仿溶媒,並使用日本電子股份有限公司製「Lambda-500」於50℃測定1H-NMR。氫化嵌段共聚物中的聚合物嵌段(b)之氫化率,從在得到的光譜之4.5~6.0ppm顯現的碳-碳雙鍵所具有之質子的峰,利用下述式算出。
氫化率={1-(氫化後之嵌段共聚物每1莫耳所含的碳-碳雙鍵之莫耳數)/(氫化前之嵌段共聚物每1莫耳所含的碳-碳雙鍵之莫耳數)}×100(莫耳%)
將各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,使用Melt Indexer L244(TECHNOL SEVEN股份有限公司製),以230℃、98N、噴嘴尺寸=直徑1mm×長度10mm之條件測定。再者,MFR值越高,成形加工性越優異。
藉由將各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,以200℃、10MPa壓縮成形2分鐘後,以1MPa冷卻1.5分鐘,而得到薄片(成形體)(縱150mm、橫150mm、厚度1mm)。自該薄片沖裁依據JIS K 6251的啞鈴5號型之試驗片,而得到試驗片。
使用得到的試驗片,利用A型硬度計的壓頭,依據JIS K 6253-3進行測定。再者,硬度越低,柔軟性越優異。
藉由將各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,使用壓製成形機,以230℃、10MPa之壓力熱壓成形3分鐘,而得到縱50mm×橫50mm×厚度2mm的薄片狀試驗片。使用該試驗片,利用高分子計器股份有限公司製阿斯卡(ASKER)橡膠硬度計C型(C型硬度計)之壓頭,依據JIS K7312進行測定。再者,硬度越低,柔軟性越優異。
使用長度75mm×寬25mm×厚度0.5mm之鋁板(JIS H4000 A1050P),將該鋁板以砂紙(粒度100(WTCC-D))打磨進行前處理,接著以丙酮脫脂後,進行UV處理[使用Sen Engineering股份有限公司製「UVR-200G-SSII」]10分鐘而作為包覆體。
又,自上述(4)所得到的密封劑之薄片沖裁長度75mm×寬25mm×厚度1mm的薄片。
將該薄片乘載於上述包覆體,採用壓輥,以輥重量2kgf、溫度23±2℃、速度300mm/分之條件壓接兩者,而得到積層體。將該積層體作為測定用的試驗片使用。
使用該試驗片,採用Instron公司製拉伸試驗機(5566型),以夾頭間距離10cm、拉伸速度1cm/min進行180°剝離試驗。再者,數值越高,黏接著性越優異。
藉由將各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,以200℃、10MPa壓縮成形2分鐘後,以1MPa冷卻1.5分鐘,而得到薄片(成形體)(縱200mm、橫10mm、厚度4mm)。
對於該試驗片,藉由中央激發法(JIS K7391)(JIS G 0602-1993)測定損失係數。測定條件係如下述。

頻率:4,000赫茲

振動模式:半共振
支撐體:鋼板
損失係數之數值越大制振效果及隔音效果越高,只要為0.05以上,通常有制振效果及隔音效果。
將各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,利用壓縮成形機,在200℃壓縮成形3分鐘,製作直徑13.0±0.5mm、厚度6.3±0.3mm的圓柱狀試驗片。使用該圓柱狀試驗片,依據JIS K 6262,測定各自於70℃及100℃之2點的溫度中之保持25%壓縮變形22小時後的壓縮永久應變。該數值越小,在高溫之壓縮永久應變越優異。
使用各實施例及比較例所得到的密封劑,利用壓縮成形機,在200℃壓縮成形3分鐘,製作直徑29.0±0.5mm、厚度12.5±0.5mm的圓柱狀試驗片。使用該試驗片,依據JIS K 6255,藉由LUPKE式回彈彈性試驗機測定25℃之回彈彈性模數。回彈彈性模數的數值越小,制振性越優異。
在進行氮取代,且使其乾燥的耐壓容器,加入作為溶媒之環己烷50.0kg、作為陰離子聚合起始劑之第二丁基鋰(10.5質量%環己烷溶液)41.3g(第二丁基鋰4.3g),升溫至50℃後,加入苯乙烯(1)1.12kg進行聚合1
小時,接著,加入β-菌綠烯10.25kg進行聚合2小時,進一步加入苯乙烯(2)1.12kg進行聚合1小時,藉此得到包含聚苯乙烯-聚(β-菌綠烯)-聚苯乙烯三嵌段共聚物的反應液(聚合步驟)。
在該反應液,作為氫化觸媒,添加相對於前述嵌段共聚物為5質量%之鈀碳(鈀載持量:5質量%),以氫壓2MPa、150℃之條件進行反應10小時。放置冷卻、壓力排放後,利用過濾除去鈀碳,將濾液濃縮,進一步進行真空乾燥,藉此得到聚苯乙烯-聚(β-菌綠烯)-聚苯乙烯三嵌段共聚物之氫化物(以下稱為嵌段共聚物(I)-1)(氫化步驟)。對於嵌段共聚物(I)-1進行前述評價。
再者,嵌段共聚物(I)-1之苯乙烯嵌段的峰頂分子量(Mp),係將在聚合上述聚苯乙烯-聚(β-菌綠烯)-聚苯乙烯三嵌段共聚物的過程中,聚合苯乙烯(1)後,取樣而得到的聚苯乙烯之峰頂分子量(Mp)的測定值,作為上述嵌段共聚物(I)-1之苯乙烯嵌段的峰頂分子量(Mp)。
結果示於表1。
進行與製造例1之聚合步驟同樣的操作,得到包含聚苯乙烯-聚(β-菌綠烯)-聚苯乙烯三嵌段共聚物的反應液後,不實施氫化步驟,將該反應液濃縮,並進一步進行真空乾燥。如前述進行,得到聚苯乙烯-聚(β-菌綠烯)-聚苯乙烯三嵌段共聚物(以下稱為嵌段共聚物(I)-2)。對於嵌段共聚物(I)-2進行前述評價。結果示於表1。
除了作成記載於表1之摻合以外,係與製造例1同樣進行,製造嵌段共聚物(I)-3~(I)-5、(I’)-6、(I)-10及(I’)-12。對於得到的嵌段共聚物(I)-3~(I)-5、(I’)-6、(I)-10及(I’)-12進行前述評價。結果示於表1。
除了在溶媒之環己烷混合作為路易士鹼之四氫呋喃(THF),且作成記載於表1之摻合以外,係與製造例1同樣進行,製造嵌段共聚物(I’)-7、(I’)-9及(I’)-11。對於得到的嵌段共聚物(I’)-7、(I’)-9及(I’)-11進行前述評價。結果示於表1。
除了在溶媒之環己烷混合作為路易士鹼之N,N,N’,N’-四甲基乙二胺(TMEDA),且作成記載於表1之摻合以外,係與製造例2同樣進行,製造嵌段共聚物(I’)-8。對於得到的嵌段共聚物(I’)-8進行前述評價。結果示於表1。
將得到的嵌段共聚物(I)-1~(I)-5、(I)-10及(I’)-6~(I’)-9、(I’)-11、(I’)-12各別作為實施例1~6及比較例1~6之密封劑使用,並進行前述評價。結果示於表2。
根據表2,可知實施例1~6的密封劑滿足本發明之構成要件,因此成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,而且在40~80℃、4,000赫茲之損失係數高,在高溫下之高頻率區域的隔音性及制振性均優異。
另一方面,可知比較例1~6的密封劑不包含來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),因此任一者皆柔軟性差,黏著力低,而且40~80℃的損失係數低,隔音性及制振性均差。比較例2之密封劑,雖其80℃的損失係數與本發明同等,但60℃以下之損失係數低,靠近常溫的隔音性及制振性均差。又,可知比較例3的密封劑,雖其40℃的損失係數高,但60℃以上的損失係數低,不適合作為在高溫下使用的密封劑。
將表3及表4所示的各成分,依照表3及表4所示之摻合,使用SIGMABLADE型之捏合機於200~230℃混合2小時,製作密封劑。使用得到的密封劑,根據上述方法進行各種測定。結果示於表3及表4。

如表3及表4所明示:實施例7~14的密封劑,相較於比較例7~22的密封劑,在高溫之壓縮永久應變(耐熱性)及回彈彈性模數具有同等以上的性能,成形加工性、柔軟性及黏接著性均優異,且在40~80℃、4,000赫茲之損失係數高,在高溫下之高頻率區域的隔音性及制振性(振動衰減特性)均優異。
Claims (11)
- 一種密封劑,其係包含嵌段共聚物(A),該嵌段共聚物(A)含有:聚合物嵌段(a):包含來自芳香族乙烯化合物之結構單元;以及聚合物嵌段(b):含有1~100質量%來自菌綠烯之結構單元(b1),且含有99~0質量%來自菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯之結構單元(b2);且聚合物嵌段(a)及聚合物嵌段(b)之質量比[(a)/(b)]為5/95~45/55。
- 如請求項1之密封劑,其中該嵌段共聚物(A)之藉由凝膠滲透層析法並以標準聚苯乙烯換算而求得的峰頂分子量(peak top molecular weight)(Mp)為4,000~500,000。
- 如請求項1或2之密封劑,其中該嵌段共聚物(A)在40~80℃的範圍內、頻率4,000赫茲的振動條件下之損失係數為0.07以上。
- 如請求項1至3中任一項之密封劑,其中該芳香族乙烯化合物為苯乙烯。
- 如請求項1至4中任一項之密封劑,其中該菌綠烯為β-菌綠烯。
- 如請求項1至5中任一項之密封劑,其中該菌綠烯以外的共軛二烯係選自異戊二烯、丁二烯及月桂油烯之至少一種。
