Description
本發明之主題為用於塗佈基板的方法,其包含首先將水性分散液PG塗覆至基板之表面,該水性分散液PG產生自a)水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物具有0℃的玻璃轉移溫度Tg,及b)水性石墨烯分散液,其中石墨烯之重量分數為0.01且10重量份/100重量份分散液聚合物(固體/固體),且其後在該分散液聚合物之玻璃轉移溫度Tg的溫度T下乾燥。
本發明之其他主題為經塗佈之基板本身以及本發明之水性分散液PG用於製造塗料調配物之用途。
技術人員已知用於塗佈基板的方法。在該等方法中,基板一般藉由以下步驟塗佈:向基板表面塗覆包含黏合劑以及慣用添加劑的水性塗料調配物,隨後乾燥塗料,伴以成膜。技術人員熟悉的水性塗料調配物之實例包括黏著劑、封閉劑、聚合物渲染劑、液體墨、印刷墨或油漆及清漆調配物。
黏著科學及技術期刊(Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology)2013,第27卷,第13期,第1446至1454頁中,Zbigniew Czech、Agnieska Kowalczyk、Lu Shao、Xi-Quan Cheng、Shai Quan及Yong-Ping Bai揭示包含銀粒子的壓敏黏著劑。相對於聚合物分數,
需要至少15重量%細粉狀銀以便確保有用之電導率。
WO 2010/86176揭示用於製造導電成型物品的方法,其中藉助於分散助劑將石墨氧化物分散於水性介質中,隨後藉由還原將該分散液轉化成水性石墨烯分散液,將其與水性聚合物分散液混合,自此混合物移除水,之後將剩餘石墨烯/聚合物混合物加熱至分散液聚合物之液化點,且使所得液體材料成所需形狀,之後將其冷卻。未揭示亦未建議石墨烯/分散液聚合物混合物用於基板塗佈的用途。
類似地,WO 2011/144321揭示用於製造導電成型物品的方法,其中將水性石墨烯分散液與水性聚合物分散液混合,自此混合物移除水,之後將剩餘石墨烯/聚合物混合物加熱至分散液聚合物之液化點,且使所得液態材料成所需形狀,之後將其冷卻。未揭示亦未建議石墨烯/分散液聚合物混合物用於基板塗佈的用途。
用於塗佈基板之已知方法的缺點為使用已知黏合劑獲得之塗料具有極少或無電導率或需要大量昂貴銀粒子。
因此,本發明之一目標為提供用於塗佈基板的方法,其允許使用特定黏合劑系統獲得導電塗料,而不會不利地影響其他物理機械特性。
考量此目標發現開始時定義的方法。
用於本發明方法之水性分散液PG的基本組分為水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物具有0℃的玻璃轉移溫度Tg。
此處水性聚合物分散液意謂流體系統,其包含呈分散分佈、於水性介質中作為分散相的聚合物螺旋,其由以下組成:複數個相互纏結聚合物鏈(所謂的聚合物基質)及/或由交聯聚合物結構構成的聚合物粒子(分散液聚合物)。分散液聚合物粒子之平均直徑一般在10至2000nm範圍內。
本發明之上下文中所涵蓋之分散液聚合物包括所有天然存在及/
或以合成方式製備之聚合物,其具有0℃的玻璃轉移溫度Tg。基於天然物質之分散液聚合物的實例包括硝化纖維素、纖維素酯、松香及/或蟲膠。以合成方式製得之分散液聚合物包括例如縮聚產物,諸如醇酸樹脂、聚酯、聚醯胺、聚矽氧樹脂及/或環氧樹脂,以及加聚產物,諸如聚胺基甲酸酯。然而,加聚產物較佳為由呈共聚形式之烯系不飽和化合物組成的聚合物。此等加聚化合物一般藉由烯系不飽和化合物之聚合來製備,此聚合為技術人員所熟悉且經金屬錯合物催化、經陰離子催化、經陽離子催化且更佳經自由基催化。
自由基催化之烯系不飽和化合物的聚合為技術人員所熟悉,且其更具體而言藉由自由基本體、乳液、溶液、沈澱或懸浮聚合之方法完成,但自由基引發的水性乳液聚合尤佳。
在水性介質中自由基引發的烯系不飽和化合物(單體)之乳液聚合的實施過去已多次描述,且因此為技術人員所熟知[在此方面參見Emulsion Polymerization in Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Engineering,第8卷,第659頁及其後內容(1987);D.C.Blackley,in High Polymer Latices,第1卷,第35頁及其後內容(1966);H.Warson,The Applications of Synthetic Resin Emulsions,第5章,第246頁及其後內容(1972);D.Diederich,Chemie in unserer Zeit 24,第135至142頁(1990);Emulsion Polymerization,Interscience Publishers,New York(1965);DE-A 40 03 422;及Dispersionen synthetischer Hochpolymerer,F.Hölscher,Springer-Verlag,Berlin(1969)]。自由基引發的水性乳液聚合典型地藉由以下步驟完成:將單體分散於水性介質中,一般伴隨使用分散助劑,諸如乳化劑及/或保護性膠體,及使用至少一種水溶性自由基聚合引發劑使其聚合。在所獲得之水性聚合物分散液的情況下,未反應單體之殘餘量通常藉由同樣為技術人員已知的化學及/或物理方法降低[參看(例如)EP-A 771328、DE-A
19624299、DE-A 19621027、DE-A 19741184、DE-A 19741187、DE-A 19805122、DE-A 19828183、DE-A 19839199、DE-A 19840586及19847115],藉由稀釋或濃縮將聚合物固體含量調整至所需值,或將其他慣用佐劑,諸如發泡改性或黏度改性添加劑,添加至水性聚合物分散液。根據本發明使用之水性聚合物分散液的製備不同於一般程序之處僅在於單體依據其性質及量來選擇使得形成之分散液聚合物具有0℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg。此處顯而易見,對於製備分散液聚合物,本文上下文中的目的為亦包括為技術人員所熟悉的種子、分階段及梯度方案。
涵蓋之單體包括尤其易於自由基聚合的單體,諸如乙烯;芳乙烯單體,諸如苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、鄰氯苯乙烯或乙烯基甲苯;鹵化乙烯,諸如氯乙烯或偏二氯乙烯;具有1至18個C原子之乙烯醇及單羧酸之酯,諸如乙酸乙烯酯、丙酸乙烯酯、正丁酸乙烯酯、月桂酸乙烯酯及硬脂酸乙烯酯;具有較佳3至6個C原子之α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及二羧酸(諸如,更具體而言,丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、順丁烯二酸、反丁烯二酸及伊康酸)與具有一般1至12、較佳1至8且更具體而言1至4個C原子之烷醇之酯,諸如,具體而言,丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸甲酯、乙酯、正丁酯、異丁酯、戊酯、己酯、庚酯、辛酯、壬酯、癸酯及2-乙基己酯、反丁烯二酸及順丁烯二酸二甲酯或二正丁酯;α,β-單烯系不飽和羧酸之腈,諸如丙烯腈、甲基丙烯腈、反丁烯二腈、順丁烯二腈;以及C4-8共軛二烯,諸如1,3-丁二烯及異戊二烯。所述單體一般形成主要單體,其以用於製備分散液聚合物之所有烯系不飽和化合物的量(總單體量)計佔50重量%、較佳80重量%且尤佳90重量%之分數。一般情況下,在標準條件下[20℃,1atm(=1.013巴絕對壓力)],此等單體於水中僅具有中等至低溶解度。
在前述條件下呈現高水溶性的單體為含有至少一個酸基及/或其
相對應的陰離子,或至少一個胺基、醯胺基、脲基或N-雜環基及/或其銨衍生物(其在氮上烷基化或質子化)之彼等單體。實例包括α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及二羧酸及其醯胺,諸如丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、順丁烯二酸、反丁烯二酸、伊康酸、丙烯醯胺及甲基丙烯醯胺;以及乙烯磺酸、2-丙烯醯胺基-2-甲基丙磺酸、苯乙烯磺酸及其水溶性鹽;以及N-乙烯吡咯啶酮、2-乙烯吡啶、4-乙烯吡啶、2-乙烯咪唑、丙烯酸2-(N,N-二甲胺基)乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-(N,N-二甲胺基)乙酯、丙烯酸2-(N,N-二乙胺基)乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-(N,N-二乙胺基)乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-(N-第三丁胺基)乙酯、N-(3-N',N'-二甲胺基丙基)甲基丙烯醯胺及甲基丙烯酸2-(1-咪唑啉-2-酮基)乙酯。前述單體通常僅作為經改性單體,以按總單體量計10重量%且較佳5重量%的量存在。
典型地提昇由聚合物基質形成之膜的內部強度的單體通常具有至少一個環氧基、羥基、N-羥甲基或羰基或至少兩個非共軛烯系不飽和雙鍵。其實例為具有兩個乙烯基的單體、具有兩個亞乙烯基之單體及具有兩個烯基之單體。在此情形下特別有利的為二元醇與α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸(其中丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸較佳)的二酯。具有兩個非共軛烯系不飽和雙鍵之此種單體的實例為伸烷基二醇二丙烯酸酯及二甲基丙烯酸酯,諸如乙二醇二丙烯酸酯、1,2-丙二醇二丙烯酸酯、1,3-丙二醇二丙烯酸酯、1,3-丁二醇二丙烯酸酯、1,4-丁二醇二丙烯酸酯及乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、1,2-丙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、1,3-丙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、1,3-丁二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯及1,4-丁二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯;以及二乙烯苯、甲基丙烯酸乙烯酯、丙烯酸乙烯酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯、丙烯酸烯丙酯、順丁烯二酸二烯丙酯、反丁烯二酸二烯丙酯、亞甲基雙丙烯醯胺、丙烯酸環戊二烯酯、氰尿酸三烯丙酯或異氰尿酸三烯丙酯。在此情形下亦尤其重要的為甲基丙烯酸及丙烯酸C1-C8羥烷基酯,諸如丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸正羥乙酯、正羥丙酯或正
羥丁酯,以及化合物,諸如二丙酮丙烯醯胺及丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸乙醯乙醯氧乙酯。前述單體通常以5重量%、較佳3重量%的量使用,在各情形下以總單體量計。
根據本發明有利地使用如下水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物包含呈共聚形式之以下各物:50%且99.9重量%之丙烯酸及/或甲基丙烯酸與具有1至12個C原子之烷醇之酯,及/或苯乙烯,或40%且99.9重量%之苯乙烯及/或丁二烯,或50%且99.9重量%之氯乙烯及/或偏二氯乙烯,或40%且99.9重量%之乙酸乙烯酯、丙酸乙烯酯及/或乙烯。
根據本發明尤其有利地使用如下水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物包含呈共聚合形式之以下各物:0.1%且5重量%之至少一種具有3至6個C原子的α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及/或二羧酸,及/或其醯胺,及50%且99.9重量%之至少一種丙烯酸及/或甲基丙烯酸與具有1至12個C原子的烷醇及/或苯乙烯之酯,或0.1%且5重量%之至少一種具有3至6個C原子的α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及/或二羧酸,及/或其醯胺,及40%且99.9重量%之苯乙烯及/或丁二烯,或0.1%且5重量%之至少一種具有3至6個C原子的α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及/或二羧酸,及/或其醯胺,及
50%且99.9重量%之氯乙烯及/或偏二氯乙烯,或0.1%且5重量%之至少一種具有3至6個C原子的α,β-單烯系不飽和單羧酸及/或二羧酸,及/或其醯胺,及40%且99.9重量%之乙酸乙烯酯、丙酸乙烯酯及/或乙烯。
用於製備分散液聚合物的自由基引發之水性乳液聚合一般在0.1%至5重量%、較佳0.1%至4重量%及更具體而言0.1%至3重量%(在各情形下以總單體量計)之自由基聚合引發劑(自由基引發劑)存在下進行。涵蓋之自由基引發劑包括所有能夠觸發自由基水性乳液聚合的彼等自由基引發劑。其原則上可包括過氧化物及偶氮化合物。當然亦涵蓋氧化還原引發劑系統。使用之過氧化物原則上可為無機過氧化物,諸如過氧化氫或過氧化二硫酸鹽,諸如過氧化二硫酸之單鹼金屬或二鹼金屬或銨鹽,諸如其單鈉及二鈉、單鉀及二鉀或銨鹽;或有機過氧化物,諸如烷基氫過氧化物(例如第三丁基、對薄荷基或異丙苯基氫過氧化物),以及二烷基或二芳基過氧化物,諸如二第三丁基過氧化物或二異丙苯基過氧化物。適用作偶氮化合物的基本上為2,2'-偶氮雙(異丁腈)、2,2'-偶氮雙(2,4-二甲基戊腈)及2,2'-偶氮雙(甲脒基丙基)二鹽酸鹽(AIBA,對應於來自Wako Chemicals的V-50)。應瞭解,氧化還原引發劑系統同樣可用作自由基引發劑。預期用於氧化還原引發劑系統之氧化劑基本上為以上識別之過氧化物。作為相對應的還原劑,有可能利用具有低氧化態的硫之化合物,諸如鹼金屬亞硫酸鹽,例如亞硫酸鉀及/或亞硫酸鈉;鹼金屬亞硫酸氫鹽,例如亞硫酸氫鉀及/或亞硫酸氫鈉;鹼金屬偏亞硫酸氫鹽,例如偏亞硫酸氫鉀及/或偏亞硫酸氫鈉;甲醛合次硫酸氫鹽,例如甲醛合次硫酸氫鉀及/或甲醛合次硫酸氫鈉;鹼金屬鹽,尤其脂族亞磺酸之鉀鹽及/或鈉鹽;及鹼金屬氫硫化物,諸如,例如氫硫化鉀及/或氫硫化鈉;多價金屬之鹽,諸如
硫酸鐵(II)、硫酸銨鐵(II)、磷酸鐵(II);烯二醇,諸如二羥順丁烯二酸、安息香及/或抗壞血酸;以及還原醣,諸如山梨糖、葡萄糖、果糖及/或二羥基丙酮。
藉由自由基引發的水性乳液聚合製備分散液聚合物中,慣常亦利用分散助劑,其不僅保持單體小滴並且保持聚合物粒子分散於水相中之分散液中,且因此確保生成之分散液聚合物之水性分散液的穩定性。同樣涵蓋常用於實施自由基水性乳液聚合的乳化劑以及保護性膠體。
適合之保護性膠體為(例如)聚乙烯醇、纖維素衍生物或乙烯吡咯啶酮共聚物。其他適合之保護性膠體的全面描述見於Houben-Weyl,Methoden der organischen Chemie,第XIV/1卷,Makromolekulare Stoffe,第411至420頁,Georg-Thieme-Verlag,Stuttgart,1961。應瞭解,亦可使用乳化劑及/或保護性膠體的混合物。作為分散助劑,較佳僅使用乳化劑,其相對分子量(對照於保護性膠體之相對分子量)典型地低於1000。其本質上可為陰離子、陽離子或非離子的。若使用表面活性物質之混合物,個別組分當然必須彼此相容,若有懷疑,則可藉助於若干初步測試驗證。一般言之,陰離子乳化劑彼此相容且與非離子乳化劑相容。陽離子乳化劑同樣如此,然而陰離子及陽離子乳化劑通常不彼此相容。常見乳化劑為(例如)乙氧基化單烷基酚、二烷基酚及三烷基酚(EO度:3至50,烷基:C4至C12)、乙氧基化脂肪醇(EO度:3至50,烷基:C8至C36),及硫酸烷酯之鹼金屬鹽及銨鹽(烷基:C8至C12)、與乙氧基化烷醇之硫酸單酯的鹼金屬鹽及銨鹽(EO度:4至30,烷基:C12至C18)、及與乙氧基化烷基酚之硫酸單酯的鹼金屬鹽及銨鹽(EO度:3至50,烷基:C4至C12)、烷基磺酸之鹼金屬鹽及銨鹽(烷基:C12至C18)、及烷基芳基磺酸之鹼金屬鹽及銨鹽(烷基:C9至C18)。其他適合之乳化劑見於Houben-Weyl,Methoden der

另外證實適合作為表面活性物質的為通式I之化合物
其中R1及R2表示H原子或C4至C24烷基,且不同時為H原子,且M1及M2可為鹼金屬離子及/或銨離子。在通式(I)中,R1及R2較佳表示具有6至18個C原子,更具體而言具有6、12及16個C原子的直鏈或分支鏈烷基,或氫,且R1及R2兩者不同時為H原子。M1及M2較佳為鈉、鉀或銨,其中鈉為尤佳的。特別有利的化合物(I)為彼等化合物,其中M1及M2為鈉,R1為具有12個C原子的分支鏈烷基,且R2為H原子或R1。通常使用技術混合物,其包括50%至90重量%之分數的單烷基化產物,諸如,例如Dowfax® 2A1(Dow Chemical Company之品牌)。化合物(I)為通常已知的,例如獲知於US-A4269749,且可購得。
在藉由自由基引發的水性乳液聚合製備分散液聚合物中,宜使用非離子及/或陰離子分散助劑。然而,亦可使用陽離子分散助劑。
一般而言,使用之分散助劑之量為0.1%至5重量%、較佳地1%至3重量%,在各情形下以總單體量計。若在自由基聚合引發之前,將分散助劑之一部分或全部供應至水性反應介質,則其通常為適用的。此外,分散助劑之一部分或全部可在聚合期間供應至水性反應介質,亦宜與單體一起,更具體而言以水性單體乳液形式。
典型地使用自由基鏈轉移化合物以便減少或控制可藉由自由基引發的水性乳液聚合獲得之分散液聚合物的分子量。在此情形下採用的基本上為:脂族及/或芳脂族鹵素化合物,諸如正丁基氯、正丁基
溴、正丁基碘、二氯甲烷、二氯乙烯、氯仿、溴仿、溴三氯甲烷、二溴二氯甲烷、四氯化碳、四溴化碳、氯甲苯、溴甲苯;有機硫化合物,諸如一級、二級或三級脂族硫醇,諸如乙硫醇、正丙硫醇、2-丙硫醇、正丁硫醇、2-丁硫醇、2-甲基-2-丙硫醇、正戊硫醇、2-戊硫醇、3-戊硫醇、2-甲基-2-丁硫醇、3-甲基-2-丁硫醇、正己硫醇、2-己硫醇、3-己硫醇、2-甲基-2-戊硫醇、3-甲基-2-戊硫醇、4-甲基-2-戊硫醇、2-甲基-3-戊硫醇、3-甲基-3-戊硫醇、2-乙基丁硫醇、2-乙基-2-丁硫醇、正庚硫醇及其異構化合物、正辛硫醇及其異構化合物、正壬硫醇及其異構化合物、正癸硫醇及其異構化合物、正十一烷硫醇及其異構化合物、正十二烷硫醇及其異構化合物、正十三烷硫醇及其異構化合物;經取代硫醇,諸如2-羥基乙硫醇,芳族硫醇,諸如苯硫酚、鄰甲基苯硫酚、間甲基苯硫酚或對甲基苯硫酚;以及聚合物手冊(Polymer Handbook)第3版,1989,J.Brandrup及E.H.Immergut,John Wiley & Sons,第II章節,第133至141頁中所描述之所有其他硫化合物;以及脂族及/或芳族醛,諸如乙醛、丙醛及/或苯甲醛;不飽和脂肪酸,諸如油酸,具有非共軛雙鍵的二烯,諸如二乙烯甲烷或乙烯基環己烷;或具有容易分離的氫原子之烴,諸如甲苯。然而,亦有可能使用相互無干擾之上述自由基鏈轉移化合物的混合物。
在藉由自由基引發的水性乳液聚合製備分散液聚合物期間,視情況使用之自由基鏈轉移化合物的總量一般<5重量%、常常<3重量%且通常<1重量%,在各情形下以總單體量計。
除無種子製備模式以外,出於調節聚合物粒度之目的,用於製備分散液聚合物的乳液聚合可能藉由種子乳膠方法或在當場製備之種子乳膠存在下發生。用於如此進行的方法為技術人員已知,且可見於先前技術中(參看,例如,EP-B 40 419、EP-A 567 812、EP-A 614 922及『Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology』,第5卷,第847
頁,John Wiley & Sons Inc.,New York,1966)。因此,先前技術建議,用於半分批饋料方法,將規定之精細種子聚合物分散液作為初始饋料引入至聚合容器中,接著在種子乳膠存在下聚合單體。在此情形下,種子聚合物粒子充當『聚合核』,且減弱聚合物粒子之形成及聚合物粒子之生長。在乳液聚合期間,可將其他種子乳膠直接添加至聚合反應器。此產生寬尺寸分佈之聚合物粒子,其尤其在具有高固體含量之聚合物分散液之情形下常常為所要的(在此方面參見,例如DE-A 4213965)。替代添加規定之種子乳膠,其亦有可能當場產生。為此目的,例如最初引入用於聚合之單體及自由基引發劑之一部分,連同乳化劑之一部分或全部,且將此初始饋料加熱至反應溫度,產生相對細粉狀聚合物種子。隨後,在相同聚合容器中,藉由饋料方法執行適當聚合(亦參看DE-A 4213965)。
宜藉由在0至170℃範圍內之反應溫度下(但70至120℃,且更具體而言80至100℃之溫度尤佳),自由基引發的水性乳液聚合製備分散液聚合物。可在小於、等於或大於1atm(絕對)之壓力下實施自由基水性乳液聚合。揮發性單體(諸如乙烯、丁二烯或氯乙烯)較佳在高壓下聚合。在此情形下,壓力可採用1.2、1.5、2、5、10或15巴(超大氣壓力)或甚至更高之值。若在低於大氣壓力下進行乳液聚合,設定950毫巴、通常900毫巴且常常850毫巴(絕對)之壓力。宜在1atm(即大氣壓)下在惰性氣體氛圍(諸如氮氣或氬氣)下執行自由基水性乳液聚合。
在自由基引發的水性乳液聚合之情形下,水性反應介質原則上亦可包含少量(<5重量%)水溶性有機溶劑,諸如甲醇、乙醇、異丙醇、丁醇、戊醇以及丙酮等。然而,較佳,在不存在該等溶劑之情況下進行自由基引發的水性乳液聚合。
根據本發明使用之分散液聚合物一般具有0℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg。一般而言,玻璃轉移溫度在-60℃且0℃範圍內,宜在-40℃且
-10℃範圍內,且尤其宜在-35℃且-15℃範圍內。
在本說明書的上下文中,玻璃轉移溫度Tg意謂根據ASTM D 3418-12之中點溫度,藉由差示掃描熱量測定來測定(DSC;加熱速率:20K/min)[亦參見Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry,第169頁,Verlag Chemie,Weinheim,1992,及Zosel in Farbe und Lack,82,第125至134頁,1976]。
亦重要的,根據Fox(T.G.Fox,Bull.Am.Phys.Soc.1956[Ser.II]1,第123頁,及根據Ullmann's Encyclopädie der technischen Chemie,第19卷,第18頁,第4版,Verlag Chemie,Weinheim,1980),具有不超過低交聯程度之共聚物的玻璃轉移溫度可使用下列等式以充分近似值估算:1/Tg=x1/Tg1+x2/Tg2+....xn/Tgn,其中,x1、x2......xn為單體1、2......n之質量分數,且Tg1、Tg2....Tgn為在各情形下僅由單體1、2......n中之一者組成的均聚物之玻璃轉移溫度(以開爾文(Kelvin)度數為單位)。針對大部分烯系不飽和單體,此等均聚物之玻璃轉移溫度為已知的(或可容易以已知方法以實驗方式來確定),且例如列於J.Brandrup,E.H.Immergut,Polymer Handbook第1版J.Wiley,New York,1966,第2版J.Wiley,New York,1975及第3版J.Wiley,New York,1989;以及Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry,第169頁,Verlag Chemie,Weinheim,1992中。
可藉由乳液聚合獲得之典型地呈水性分散液形式的水性分散液聚合物具有10%且70重量%、通常20%且65重量%且常常25%且60重量%之聚合物固體含量,在各情形下以水性聚合物分散液計。
因此,分散液聚合物尤其宜呈粒子形式,平均粒徑10且1000nm、宜30且600nm,且尤其宜50至400nm,藉由準彈性光散射
之方法來測定(ISO標準13 321;累積z-平均值)。
原則上水性分散液聚合物分散液當然亦可能以稱為二級聚合物分散液的形式製備(關於二級聚合物分散液之基本製備參看,例如Eckersley等人,Am.Chem.Soc.,Div.Polymer Chemistry,1977,38(2),第630至631頁、US-A 3360599、US-A 3238173、US-A 3726824、US-A 3734686或US-A 6207756)。二級水性分散液之製備一般藉由將藉由本體或溶液聚合之方法製備之分散液聚合物溶解於適合之有機溶劑中且將此等溶液分散於水性介質中以形成水性聚合物/溶劑(微)乳液來完成。後續移除溶劑得到相對應的水性分散液聚合物分散液。
相對應地,本發明方法宜用水性聚合物分散液進行,其分散液聚合物具有10且1000nm、宜30且600nm且尤其宜50至400nm之平均粒徑。水性聚合物分散液尤其宜具有雙峰粒度分佈,其中第一最大值在200且400nm範圍內,第二最大值在800且1000nm範圍內。
在本發明方法中尤其宜採用水性聚合物分散液,其聚合物由以下各物之共聚合形式組成60.0%且95.0重量%之丙烯酸正丁酯2.0%及30.0重量%之甲基丙烯酸甲酯0.1%且5.0重量%之丙烯酸及/或甲基丙烯酸0.1%且5.0重量%之苯乙烯0.1%且5.0重量%之丙烯酸及/或甲基丙烯酸羥乙酯及/或羥丙酯0.1%且5.0重量%之丙烯酸乙酯,總量合計達100重量%。
水性分散液PG之另一基本成分為水性石墨烯分散液。
石墨烯在此項技術中理解為以二維蜂巢結構(六邊形環結構)存在之單層碳原子。然而,在本發明之上下文中,術語「石墨烯」不僅僅
限於由單層組成之碳蜂巢結構,並且包涵(如在大量公開案中所指定且如由許多石墨烯製造商對於其產品所指定)由相對應的碳單層之混合物組成的碳材料,兩個疊加之碳單層的層化聚結物(兩層產物),及具有三個至十個有時甚至多達二十個碳單層之層化聚結物(「若干層石墨烯」)。單獨碳單層與兩個或兩個以上碳單層之聚結物的比率較大程度取決於製造方法及/或供應商。在本發明之上下文中,稱為「石墨烯」之材料特徵在於其較佳在X射線繞射圖中無石墨信號。石墨部分之存在由在25至30°範圍內之繞射角2θ處的峰(準確值:26.3°;Cu Kα射線;波長0.154nm)來表徵。然而,通常量測寬信號,因為石墨烯中的碳單層具有不同層間間距。在此範圍內信號之存在表明不完全剝離,且此信號之強度使得有可能確定剝離程度,亦即碳單層存在之程度。
在本發明之含義中,「石墨烯」同樣由低容積密度來表徵,其在0.2g/cm3範圍內,例如,在0.001且0.2g/cm3或0.003且0.2g/cm3範圍內;宜在0.15g/cm3範圍內,例如,在0.001且0.15g/cm3或0.003且0.15g/cm3範圍內;更宜在0.1g/cm3範圍內,例如,在0.001且0.1g/cm3或0.003且0.1g/cm3範圍內;尤其宜在0.05g/cm3範圍內,例如,在0.001且0.05g/cm3或0.003且0.05g/cm3範圍內;且尤其宜在0.01g/cm3範圍內,例如在0.001且0.01g/cm3或0.003且0.01g/cm3範圍內。
在本發明之含義中,「石墨烯」進一步由極高BET表面積(Brunauer-Emmett-Teller表面積)來表徵,其在200m2/g範圍內,例如在200且2600m2/g或200且2000m2/g或200且1500m2/g或200且700m2/g範圍內;且宜在300m2/g範圍內,例如在300且2600m2/g或300且2000m2/g或300且1500m2/g或300且700m2/g範圍內。
在本發明之含義中,「石墨烯」宜由高碳原子與氧原子比率(C/O比率)來表徵。C/O比率反映自石墨氧化物(製造石墨烯時的常用起始產品)進行的還原反應之程度。C/O比率為至少3、較佳5、更佳50、尤其較佳100且尤其宜500,在各情形下由藉助於X射線光電子光譜(XPS)之碳及氧的原子量(以%為單位)來測定。
根據本發明適用的石墨烯及其製造描述於例如Macromolecules 2010,43,第6515至6530頁、WO 2009/126592、J.Phys.Chem.B 2006,110,第8535至8539頁、Chem.Mater.2007,19,第5396至4404頁、ACS Nano 2008,2(3),第463至470頁、Nano Letters 2010,10(12),第4863至4868頁中,以及所引用之文獻中。
根據本發明使用之石墨烯之量在0.01且10重量份、宜0.1且5重量份、且尤其宜0.5且3重量份/100重量份分散液聚合物的範圍內。
水性分散液PG宜藉由將水性聚合物分散液與相對應量之水性石墨烯分散液混合而產生。為此目的,在10℃且40℃溫度範圍內,宜最初引入全部量之水性聚合物分散液,且在均質混合下緩慢計量水性石墨烯分散液。此處必須小心尤其確保水性聚合物分散液之組分(基本上分散液聚合物及分散助劑,諸如界面活性劑或保護性膠體)與水性石墨烯分散液之組分(基本上石墨烯及分散助劑)彼此相容,且不進入至任何破壞性反應中,尤其諸如凝聚。
水性石墨烯分散液之製備為技術人員所熟悉,且例如當場藉由於水性石墨氧化物分散液中還原石墨氧化物來完成,如於例如Nature Nanotechnology 3,第101至105頁以及WO 2010/86176或WO 2011/144321中所揭示。應瞭解,亦有可能藉助於超音波輸入能量將粉狀石墨烯分散於水性界面活性劑溶液或保護性膠體溶液中。因此製備之用於製備水性分散液PG的石墨烯分散液一般具有在0.001%且
10.0重量%範圍內、宜在0.01%且5.0重量%範圍內、且尤其宜在0.01%且1.0重量%範圍內之石墨烯含量,在各情形下以水性石墨烯分散液計。
應瞭解,出於本發明的目的,水性分散液PG可根據其預期應用包括其他慣用佐劑(其性質及量為技術人員所熟悉),諸如顏料、填充劑、增黏劑、染料、光學增亮劑、保持劑、濕潤劑、成膜助劑、消泡劑、防腐劑、黏質控制劑、塑化劑、防結塊劑、抗靜電劑、疏水劑等。
若水性分散液PG用作黏著劑調配物,更具體而言,用作壓敏黏著劑調配物,通常實務為額外使用增黏性樹脂(稱為增黏劑)。該等增黏劑獲知於例如Adhesive Age,1987年7月,第19至23頁或Polym.Mater.Sci.Eng.61(1989),第588至592頁。增黏劑為例如天然樹脂,諸如松香及其藉由歧化或異構化、聚合、二聚化及/或氫化所形成之衍生物。此等樹脂可以其鹽形式(具有例如單價或多價相對離子(陽離子)),或較佳以其酯化形式存在。用於酯化之醇可為一元醇或多元醇。實例為甲醇、乙二醇、二乙二醇、三乙二醇、1,2,3-丙硫醇、異戊四醇。此外,亦使用烴類樹脂,實例為薰草酮-茚樹脂、多萜樹脂、基於不飽和CH化合物之烴類樹脂,諸如丁二烯、戊烯、甲基丁烯、異戊二烯、戊二烯、二乙烯甲烷、戊二烯、環戊烯、環戊二烯、環己二烯、苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、乙烯基甲苯。亦日益用作增黏劑的為具有低莫耳重量之聚丙烯酸酯。此等聚丙烯酸酯較佳具有低於30000之重量平均分子量Mw。聚丙烯酸酯較佳由至少60重量%、更具體而言至少80重量%之(甲基)丙烯酸C1至C8烷酯組成。較佳增黏劑為天然或化學改質的松香。松香主要由松脂酸或松脂酸之衍生物組成。可以簡單方式將增黏劑添加至水性分散液PG。在此情形下,增黏劑本身較佳呈水性分散液形式。增黏劑以重量計的量較佳為5且
100重量份、更佳10且50重量份,在各情形下以100重量份分散液聚合物計(固體/固體)。
因此,根據本發明之一個實施例包涵一種方法,其中使用進一步包含增黏劑、顏料及/或填充劑之水性分散液PG進行塗佈。
根據本發明,將水性分散液PG首先塗覆至基板之表面,其後在大於或等於分散液聚合物之玻璃轉移溫度Tg的溫度T下乾燥。
根據本發明,重要的為選擇水性分散液PG的量使得塗覆至基板之塗料在乾燥之後具有2mm、宜0.01且1.5mm、且尤其宜0.05且0.5mm之膜厚度。應瞭解,根據本發明,有可能兩個或兩個以上相同或不同塗料膜能夠依次塗覆至基板。
根據本發明,所有天然或合成的有機或無機固體主體可用作基板,但較佳為具有親水性表面之彼等基板,諸如金屬、玻璃、瓷、紙、板、塑膠、混凝土或木材。
出於本發明說明書的目的,當在20℃之溫度下在大氣壓(1atm=1.013巴絕對壓力)下時,基板具有親水性表面,塗覆至基板之水平平坦表面之去離子水滴之接觸角在其塗覆後即刻與基板表面形成<90°的接觸角[基板與其環境之界面張力大於水與環境之界面張力]。
因此,在本發明的一個實施例中,亦包含藉由本發明方法獲得之經塗佈的基板。
本發明的另一個實施例中亦包含水性分散液PG之用途,該水性分散液PG產生自a)水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物具有0℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg,及b)水性石墨烯分散液其中,石墨烯之重量分數為0.01且10重量份/100重量份分散液聚合物(固體/固體),其用於製造塗料調配物。
根據本發明,水性分散液PG宜用於製造黏著劑,其中壓敏黏著劑尤佳。
本發明將使用下文中之非限制性實例來說明。
在20℃至25℃(室溫)下在氮氣氛圍下向配備有攪拌器及4個計量裝置之2L玻璃燒瓶中裝入186.7g去離子水以及0.7g L(+)-抗壞血酸,且在攪拌下將此初始饋料加熱至92℃。隨後添加10.0g過氧二硫酸鈉之7重量%濃度水溶液,且觀測2分鐘等待時間。隨後,同時開始呈水性乳液形式之饋料1,且開始饋料2。饋料1用表2中指定之饋料概況來計量,且饋料2以連續恆定流動速率歷經3.5小時之過程。
377.0g去離子水
31.1g陰離子界面活性劑(Dowfax® 2 A1)之45重量%濃度水溶液
21.9g脂肪醇聚乙二醇醚硫酸鹽(Disponil® FES 77,BASF SE之產品)之鈉鹽的32重量%濃度水溶液

90.0g過氧二硫酸鈉之7重量%濃度水溶液
在饋料1及饋料2結束之後,量入另外54.6g丙烯酸乙酯及93.3g去離子水。接著使聚合混合物在92℃下繼續聚合15分鐘。其後將反應混合物冷卻至80℃,且添加5.6g 25重量%濃度之氨水溶液。此後,同時開始,連續地經由獨立管線以恆定流動速率,歷經2小時之過程,量入19.6g第三丁基氫過氧化物的10重量%濃度水溶液及16.1g丙酮合亞硫酸氫鹽[=丙酮及亞硫酸氫鈉之1:1加合物]的13.1重量%濃度水溶液。隨後添加另外37.3g去離子水以及18.2g 10重量%濃度氨水溶液。此後,將所獲得之水性聚合物分散液冷卻至室溫,且添加7.7g Acticid® MBS 2550的7.5重量%濃度水溶液以及1.9g Acticid® MV的1.5重量%濃度水溶液(來自Thor GmbH的兩種殺生物產品)。
由此得到水性聚合物分散液P1,其具有62重量%之固體含量、具有34%之透光率及-31℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg。
藉由在140℃將等分試樣量(大約2g)之水性聚合物分散液乾燥至恆重來測定固體含量。執行兩次獨立量測。實例中所報導之值為兩次量測結果之平均值。
將水性聚合物分散液稀釋至0.01重量%之後,使用來自Hach(美國)的DR/2010分光光度計在20℃下測定透光率(「LT」)。路徑長度為2.5cm。
使用來自Mettler-Toledo Int.Inc.的TA8000系列DSC820儀器藉由DSC方法(差示掃描熱量測定,20K/min,中點量測,DIN 53765)測定分散液聚合物之玻璃轉移溫度。
水性石墨烯分散液G1至G4藉由以下步驟來製備:稱取表3中所報導之量之去離子水、鈉、萘磺酸鈉(Tamol® NN9401,BASF SE之產品)及石墨烯(藉由類似於來自H.Kim,A.A.Abdala.C.W.Macosko;Macromolecules 2010,43,第6515至6530頁,尤其第6518及6519頁之製備方案製備粉狀石墨烯,且凍幹所獲得之水性石墨烯分散液;所得石墨烯具有476m2/g之BET及0.0053g/cm3之容積密度)於100mL燒杯中,且藉助於10分鐘之超音波曝露(使用來自Hielscher的UP 400 S H 7超音波探針)在室溫下在冷卻下分散石墨烯。
為製造含石墨烯之水性聚合物分散液,將水性石墨烯分散液G1至G4與表4中所報導之量之水性聚合物分散液P1均質地混雜及混合,以得到含石墨烯之水性聚合物分散液PG1至PG4。於含石墨烯之水性聚合物分散液PG1至PG4中,以100重量份分散液聚合物計,石墨烯之量同樣列於表4中。
另外,此外,對於下列效能研究,採用以去離子水稀釋至10重
量%之固體含量的無石墨烯水性聚合物分散液P1進行比較。
藉由首先將30g含石墨烯之水性聚合物分散液PG1至PG4以及水性聚合物分散液P1引入至具有8.5cm之內徑及80μm之基底厚度的圓形鋁盤中來測定電導率。其後在室溫下乾燥因此獲得之樣品7天。隨後使各個樣品在23℃及50%之相對濕度(標準條件)下調節24小時。接著藉由在鋁盤內不少於5個不同量測點量測來確認所獲得之聚合物薄膜中之每一者的厚度,且形成平均值。
藉由量測體積電阻率來確定特定電導率(後者表示為前者倒數)。所獲得之結果以概要之形式陳述於表5中。
為了確定垂直於各別膜平面的體積電阻率,將包含導電銀之圓形接觸電極(直徑2.5cm)施加至每一聚合物膜表面。其後,藉助於2點方法在標準條件下在鋁基板及導電銀電極之間量測由水性聚合物分散液PG1至PG4以及P1獲得之聚合物膜的體積電阻率。對於>106Ω之電阻,施加100V之電壓,且使用來自Thiedig的Dipato 4 Teraohmmeter量測各別電阻。對於<106Ω之電阻,使用電流源(Keithley 225)饋入在10-3及10-4A範圍內之電流I。使用Keithley Multimeter 2000量測此電流;使用Keithley 6517靜電計量測電壓降U。根據式R=U/I自其計算各別電阻。自各別經量測之電阻R,根據式ρ=R×A/d計算各別體積電阻率ρ,其中A表示各別電極表面積,且d表示所獲得之各別平均樣本厚度。體積電阻率以Ωcm為單位報導。所獲得之結果同樣以概要之形式陳述於表5中。
將水性聚合物分散液PG1至PG4以及P1以10g/m2之施用量(以固體計算)塗佈至作為載體之Hostaphan® RN 36 PET膜(30×31cm)上,且在90℃下乾燥5分鐘。將在各情形下獲得之經塗佈的PET膜切成寬25mm的測試條。
為了測定剪切強度,將所得測試條以25×25mm之黏結面積黏附至無潤滑脂之水平鋼板上,且用重達1kg之滾筒輥壓一次。接著使鋼板各垂直向上豎立,且將各別測試條垂直懸掛式裝載1kg之砝碼。在一種情形下,在標準條件(23℃;50%相對濕度)下,且在另一種情形下在70℃之溫度(同樣50%相對濕度),進行剪切強度(內聚力)之量測。在各情形下量測之時間為將黏結面積撕離(砝碼落下)所用的時間,以小時為單位。在各情形下進行2次量測。表6中所報導之值表示此2次各別量測之平均值。
Claims (9)
- 一種用於塗佈基板之方法,其包含首先將水性分散液PG塗覆至基板之表面,該水性分散液PG產生自a)水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物具有0℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg,及b)水性石墨烯分散液,其中石墨烯之重量分數為0.01且10重量份/100重量份分散液聚合物(固體/固體),且其後在該分散液聚合物之玻璃轉移溫度Tg的溫度T下乾燥。
- 如請求項1之方法,其中石墨烯之重量分數為0.5且3重量份/100重量份分散液聚合物。
- 如請求項1及2中任一項之方法,其中該分散液聚合物具有-40℃且-10℃之玻璃轉移溫度。
- 如請求項1及2中任一項之方法,其中水性分散液PG之量經選擇以使得塗覆至該基板之塗料具有2mm之膜厚度。
- 如請求項1及2中任一項之方法,其中該水性分散液PG進一步包含增黏劑、顏料及/或填充劑。
- 如請求項1及2中任一項之方法,其中該基板具有親水性表面。
- 一種經塗佈之基板,其可藉由如請求項1至6中任一項之方法獲得。
- 一種水性分散液PG之用途,該水性分散液PG產生自a)水性聚合物分散液,其分散液聚合物具有0℃之玻璃轉移溫度Tg,及b)水性石墨烯分散液,其中石墨烯之重量分數為0.01且10重量份/100重量份分散液 聚合物(固體/固體),其用於製造塗料調配物。
