Abstract
The invention provides an image forming material and an image forming method. The image forming material forms an image by irradiation of laser light, and includes: a support; a light-to-heat conversion layer; and an image forming layer, containing at least one coloring agent selected from the group consisting of a compound having a basic structure represented by the following formula 1 and a polymer thereof, a resin, and a monomer or oligomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds.
