Abstract
本發明係關於一種蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其係在金屬箔的第一面上依序具備第一抗腐蝕層及被覆層,在金屬箔的第二面上依序具備第二抗腐蝕層、接著層及密封膠層,且被覆層係含有選自包含氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂之群組的至少一種。
Description
本發明係關於蓄電裝置用外裝材料、及使用該外裝材料之蓄電裝置。
以往,就二次電池等的蓄電裝置而言,已知有鎳氫、鉛蓄電池,但由於可攜式機器的小型化或設置空間的限制等而多為必須小型化的情況。因此,能量密度高的鋰離子電池受到注目。就用於鋰離子電池的外裝材料(以下,有時僅稱為「外裝材料」)而言,以往係使用金屬製的罐,但正轉而大量使用能對應輕量、且放熱性高、低成本的多層薄膜。
鋰離子電池的電解液係由碳酸丙烯酯、碳酸乙烯酯、碳酸二甲酯、碳酸二乙酯、碳酸乙基甲酯等的非質子性的溶劑、與電解質所構成。就電解質而言,係使用LiPF6、LiBF4等的鋰鹽。然而,此等鋰鹽會由於因水分所引起的水解反應而產生氟酸。氟酸有時會引起電池構件之金屬面的腐蝕、或包含多層薄膜的外裝材料之各層間的積層強度的降低。
因此,包含多層薄膜之外裝材料係在內部設置包含鋁箔等金屬箔之障蔽層,抑制水分自多層薄膜的
表面進入。已知有例如依序積層具有耐熱性之基材層/第1接著層/障蔽層/防止因氟酸所致的腐蝕之抗腐蝕層/第2接著層/密封膠層的外裝材料。使用如此的外裝材料之鋰離子電池亦稱為鋁積層類型的鋰離子電池。
作為鋁積層類型之鋰離子電池的一種,已知有藉由冷成型(cold molding)在外裝材料的一部分形成凹部,在該凹部內容納正極、隔板、負極、電解液等的電池內容物,將外裝材料的剩餘部分反折並藉由熱封將邊緣部分密封而形成者。如此形成者亦稱為壓紋(emboss)類型的鋰離子電池。近年來,以提高能量密度為目的,亦製造了在貼合的外裝材料之兩側形成凹部,使其能容納更多的電池內容物之壓紋類型的鋰離子電池。
鋰離子電池的能量密度係使藉由冷成型形成的凹部越深而變得越高。然而,形成的凹部越深,在外裝材料的成型時越容易引起針孔或斷裂。因此,會施行在外裝材料的基材層使用延伸薄膜來保護障蔽層(金屬箔)。如上所述,基材層通常係隔著接著劑層而與障蔽層接合(例如,參照專利文獻1)。

專利文獻1的技術係為了提升成型性而使用
拉伸強度、伸長量在規定值以上的延伸聚醯胺薄膜或延伸聚酯薄膜作為基材層。然而,使用延伸聚醯胺薄膜的情形,於電解液注液步驟等使電解液附著於延伸聚醯胺薄膜時,會有延伸聚醯胺薄膜溶解的問題。又,使用延伸聚酯薄膜的情形,由於韌性降低而會有成型性劣化的問題。
根據上述情況,本發明之目的係提供一種能維持充分的成型性,並且具有即使附著電解液亦難以變質的電解液耐性、優異的耐熱性之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,及使用該外裝材料之蓄電裝置。
本發明係提供一種蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其係在金屬箔的第一面上依序具備第一抗腐蝕層及被覆層,在金屬箔的第二面上依序具備第二抗腐蝕層、接著層及密封膠層,且被覆層係含有選自包含氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂之群組的至少一種。
若為本發明的外裝材料,可維持充分的成型性,並且具有即使附著電解液亦難以變質的電解液耐性、與優異的耐熱性。又,可省略以往將延伸薄膜接著於障蔽層時所使用的接著劑層,亦可實現成本減低及薄型化。
本發明中,被覆層的厚度較佳為3~30μm。藉此,變得容易維持電解液耐性與成型性。
又,本發明中,較佳係氟系樹脂為四氟化型的氟樹脂,非晶性聚酯系樹脂為溶劑可溶(solvent-soluble
)型聚酯。藉此,變得更容易提升電解液耐性。
本發明中,氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂較佳係藉由異氰酸酯而硬化。藉此,可更提升被覆層的耐熱性,並且由於交聯構造變得緻密所以被覆層的膜強度增加,且能維持更良好的成型性。
此外,上述的異氰酸酯較佳係含有甲苯二異氰酸酯(tolylene diisocyanate)。藉此,變得能更容易得到因使用上述異氰酸酯所得之作用效果。
本發明中,被覆層的與第一抗腐蝕層相反側之面的靜摩擦係數較佳為0.10~0.60。藉此,變得容易維持更優異的成型性。
本發明中,被覆層較佳係進一步含有選自包含氟系添加劑及聚矽氧系添加劑之群組的至少一種添加劑。根據如此之構成,能實現更良好的成型性。
本發明中,較佳係氟系添加劑為聚四氟乙烯或全氟聚醚,聚矽氧系添加劑為烷基改質聚矽氧或聚醚改質聚矽氧。根據如此之構成,不會喪失耐熱性及電解液耐性,且能實現更良好的成型性。
本發明中,添加劑的含量較佳為0.05~1.00質量%。根據如此之構成,能更容易得到因使用添加劑所得之效果。
本發明又提供一種蓄電裝置,其具備由上述所記載的蓄電裝置用外裝材料以密封膠層為內側的方式所形成之容器。若為使用上述外裝材料所得之蓄電裝置,能具有充分的成型性、電解液耐性、及優異的耐熱性。
根據本發明,能提供一種能維持充分的成型性,並且具有即使附著電解液亦難以變質的電解液耐性、與優異的耐熱性之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,及使用該外裝材料之蓄電裝置。此外,本發明中,由於以往將延伸薄膜接著於障蔽層時所使用的接著劑層並非必要,所以亦可實現成本減低及薄型化。

<蓄電裝置用外裝材料>
關於本發明的一實施形態,係參照第1圖來進行說明。第1圖係表示本實施形態的蓄電裝置用外裝材料(以下,僅稱為「外裝材料」)1之剖面圖。
本實施形態的外裝材料係在金屬箔的第一面上依序具備第一抗腐蝕層及被覆層,在金屬箔的第二面上依序具備第二抗腐蝕層、接著層及密封膠層。亦即,如第1圖所示,同外裝材料1係具備發揮障蔽功能之金屬箔11、在金屬箔11的第一面(於第1圖中為上面)依序形成之第一抗腐蝕層12及被覆層13、在金屬箔11的第二面(於第1圖中為下面)所形成之第二抗腐蝕層14、在第二抗腐蝕層14上依序形成之接著層15及密封膠層16。使用外
裝材料1形成蓄電裝置時,被覆層13為最外層,密封膠層16為最內層。
[金屬箔]
就金屬箔11而言,可使用包含鋁、不鏽鋼、銅、鎳等的各種金屬箔,此等之中,從防濕性、延展性等的加工性、成本等面而言,較佳為鋁箔,從剛性面而言,較佳為銅箔或鎳箔。就鋁箔而言,可使用一般的軟質鋁箔。其中,從耐針孔性及成型時的延展性優異之點,較佳為含有鐵的鋁箔。
含有鐵之鋁箔(100質量%)中的鐵之含量較佳為0.1~9.0質量%,更佳為0.5~2.0質量%。若鐵的含量為0.1質量%以上,則外裝材料1係耐針孔性及延展性優異。若鐵的含量為9.0質量%以下,則外裝材料1係柔軟性優異。
金屬箔11的厚度從障蔽性、耐針孔性、加工性等之點,較佳為9~200μm,更佳為15~100μm。
[被覆層]
被覆層13係扮演賦予在製造蓄電裝置時之密封步驟中的耐熱性、或即使附著電解液也不變質的電解液耐性,並且抑制在加工或流通時可能引起的針孔之產生的角色。
被覆層13係以樹脂形成,較佳係不隔著接著層而直接形成在於金屬箔11的第一面所形成之第一抗腐蝕層12上。該情形,被覆層可藉由將成為被覆層之樹脂材料塗敷至第一抗腐蝕層上而形成。此外,使用接著層
的情形,可使用在後述的接著層之項目說明的接著劑。
被覆層13係含有選自包含氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂之群組的至少一種樹脂材料。此等樹脂具有電解液耐性。
就氟系樹脂而言,可列舉聚四氟乙烯、四氟乙烯-乙烯(ethylene)共聚物、四氟乙烯-乙烯基(vinyl)共聚物等的四氟化型的氟樹脂、聚氯三氟乙烯、氯三氟乙烯-乙烯共聚物、氯三氟乙烯-乙烯基共聚物等的三氟化型的氟樹脂、聚偏二氟乙烯等的二氟化型的氟樹脂、或四氟乙烯-全氟烷基乙烯基醚共聚物、四氟乙烯-六氟丙烯共聚物、聚氟乙烯等的其他氟樹脂等。此等之中,較佳為由於具有安定構造而電解液耐性優異的四氟化型的氟樹脂,更佳為賦予溶劑可溶性之四氟乙烯-乙烯基共聚物。此外,此等氟系樹脂可單獨或組合使用。
就非晶性聚酯系樹脂而言,較佳為溶劑可溶型,可列舉例如將多元醇之乙二醇等的一部分取代為環己烷二甲醇或新戊二醇而得者。此外,從所謂溶劑可溶性之觀點,就非晶性聚酯系樹脂而言,更佳為在藉由對苯二甲酸與乙二醇的脫水縮合所得之聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯中,將乙二醇的一部分取代為環己烷二甲醇之非晶性聚酯。非晶性聚酯系樹脂可單獨或組合使用。此外,使用如此之非晶性聚酯系樹脂所得之被覆層係如上所述,藉由塗敷步驟而形成,且形成時不需要延伸步驟(無延伸)。因此,使用非晶性聚酯系樹脂所得之被覆層為明顯與以往的延伸聚酯薄膜不同者。
氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂較佳係以異氰酸酯硬化。藉由使用異氰酸酯作為此等樹脂的硬化劑,可提升塗膜(被覆層)的耐熱性,又由於交聯構造變得緻密所以被覆層的膜強度增加,且能維持更良好的成型性。
就異氰酸酯而言,可列舉異氰酸甲酯、六亞甲基二異氰酸酯、異佛酮二異氰酸酯等的脂肪族異氰酸酯;二苯基甲烷二異氰酸酯、甲苯二異氰酸酯等的芳香族異氰酸酯等。此等異氰酸酯可單獨或組合使用。在此等之中,異氰酸酯係含有容易使塗膜(被覆層)的強度提升的芳香族異氰酸酯為較佳,尤其是含有甲苯二異氰酸酯為更佳。甲苯二異氰酸酯的構造係如以下所示,由於具有剛直的苯環,所以塗膜的強度提升。又,甲苯二異氰酸酯在1位為甲基,由於其係作為2位之NCO的立體障礙作用所以多少會降低反應性,但反應性較脂肪族異氰酸酯高。因此使用甲苯二異氰酸酯的情形,在塗敷被覆層而使溶劑乾燥的階段反應某程度地結束了,即使乾燥後立刻捲取亦難以產生黏連(blocking)。但是,芳香族異氰酸酯之中使用二苯基甲烷二異氰酸酯的情形,如以下所示,由於成為NCO立體障礙的基不存在,反應性過高,所以會有使用期限(pot life)容易降低、長時間的塗敷變得困難的傾向。此外,異氰酸酯含有甲苯二異氰酸酯的情形,異氰酸酯中由甲苯二異氰酸酯所得之異氰酸酯基的含量,從更容易表現上述作用效果之觀點,較佳為50~100質量%,更佳為60~90質量%。
被覆層13的厚度從維持電解液耐性與成型性之觀點,較佳為3~30μm,更佳為5~20μm。被覆層13直接形成在於金屬箔11的第一面所形成之第一抗腐蝕層12上的情形,藉由將被覆層的厚度設為20μm以下,而容易形成較以往的外裝材料更薄的構成。
被覆層13之與第一抗腐蝕層12相反的面之靜摩擦係數較佳為0.10~0.60,更佳為0.15~0.45。當該面中的靜摩擦係數小於0.10時,在成型加工時會有外裝材料1容易被拉入而產生皺褶之虞。另一方面,靜摩擦係數較0.60大的情形,在成型加工時會有外裝材料1難以充分地滑動,成型性容易降低的傾向。就調整被覆層13的靜摩擦係數之方法而言,可列舉變更被覆層13的塗液組成之方法、物理地變更被覆層13的表面粗糙度等之方法、於被覆層13中加入添加劑之方法等。此等之中,因為靜摩擦係數的調整為容易,所以較佳係在被覆層13中加入添加劑之方法。此外,靜摩擦係數係依照JIS K 7125,測定被覆層13之與第一抗腐蝕層12相反的面彼此的值。
就加入被覆層13的添加劑而言,可列舉脂肪族烴、高級脂肪酸、高級脂肪族醇、脂肪酸酯、脂肪酸
醯胺、氟系添加劑、聚矽氧系添加劑等。具體而言,作為脂肪族烴,可列舉流動石蠟、聚乙烯蠟、聚丙烯蠟等。作為高級脂肪酸,可列舉硬脂酸等C12以上的脂肪酸。作為高級脂肪族醇,可列舉硬脂醇等C12以上的脂肪族醇。作為脂肪酸酯,可列舉硬脂酸酯、丙三醇脂肪酸酯、山梨醇酐脂肪酸酯等。作為脂肪酸醯胺,可列舉棕櫚酸醯胺、硬脂酸醯胺、油酸醯胺、芥酸醯胺、亞甲基雙硬脂酸醯胺、伸乙基雙硬脂酸醯胺等。作為氟系添加劑,可列舉全氟烷烴、全氟脂肪酸酯、聚四氟乙烯、全氟聚醚等。作為聚矽氧系添加劑,可列舉二甲基聚矽氧、甲基苯基聚矽氧、烷基改質聚矽氧、聚醚改質聚矽氧、胺基改質聚矽氧等。此等之中,從耐熱性及電解液耐性之點,就添加劑而言,較佳係選自包含氟系添加劑及聚矽氧系添加劑之群組的至少一種。就氟系添加劑而言,從電解液耐性之點,特佳為聚四氟乙烯、全氟聚醚。就聚矽氧系添加劑而言,烷基改質聚矽氧、聚醚改質聚矽氧能容易改善靜摩擦係數而為特佳。此外,加入被覆層13的添加劑可為1種、亦可混合2種以上使用。
添加劑可加入被覆層13的塗液中,亦可在被覆層13之與第一抗腐蝕層12相反的面直接塗敷添加劑成分。以防止在外裝材料製造步驟、或電池製造時添加劑轉印之點,添加劑較佳係加入被覆層13的塗液中。
加入被覆層13的添加劑之比例較佳為0.05~1.00質量%,更佳為0.10~0.50質量%。添加劑的比例小於0.05質量%的情形,恐有得不到均勻的靜摩擦係數之虞
。另一方面,添加劑的比例超過1.00質量%的情形,恐有耐熱性或電解液耐性等其他的性能降低之虞,又恐有添加劑轉印至其他構件之虞。此外,添加劑的比例若為0.10質量%以上,電池的處理時得到更充分的滑動性(低靜摩擦係數),若為0.50質量%以下,會有得到對於電解液更良好的耐性之傾向。
[抗腐蝕層]
第一抗腐蝕層12及第二抗腐蝕層14(以下,稱為「抗腐蝕層」)係扮演抑制因電解液、或藉由電解液與水分的反應而產生的氟酸所導致之金屬箔11的腐蝕的角色。又,扮演提高金屬箔11與接著層15(在第一抗腐蝕層12上亦設置接著層的情形,進一步扮演提高金屬箔11與該接著層)的密合力之角色。
就抗腐蝕層而言,可列舉藉由塗布型或浸漬型的耐酸性之抗腐蝕處理劑所形成的塗膜、或來自構成金屬箔11的金屬之金屬氧化物的層。如此之塗膜或層對於酸的抗腐蝕效果優異。就塗膜而言,可列舉例如藉由利用包含氧化鈰、磷酸鹽及各種熱硬化性樹脂之抗腐蝕處理劑的二氧化鈰溶膠(ceria sol)處理所形成的塗膜、藉由利用包含鉻酸鹽、磷酸鹽、氟化物及各種熱硬化性樹脂之抗腐蝕處理劑的鉻酸鹽處理所形成的塗膜等。此外,若為能充分得到金屬箔11的抗腐蝕性之塗膜,不限於上述者。例如,可為藉由磷酸鹽處理、水鋁土處理等形成之塗膜。另一方面,就來自構成金屬箔11的金屬之金屬氧化物的層而言,可列舉因應所使用的金屬箔11之層
。例如使用鋁箔作為金屬箔11的情形,氧化鋁層發揮作為抗腐蝕層的功能。此等抗腐蝕層可單層或組合複數層組使用。又,第一抗腐蝕層12與第二抗腐蝕層14可為相同的構成、亦可為不同的構成。再者,抗腐蝕層可添加矽烷系偶合劑等的添加劑。
抗腐蝕層的厚度從抗腐蝕功能、及作為固定(anchor)的功能之點,較佳為10nm~5μm,更佳20~500nm。
[接著層]
接著層15係接著形成有第二抗腐蝕層14之金屬箔11與密封膠層16的層。外裝材料1係根據形成接著層15的接著成分,而被大致區分為熱積層構成與乾式積層構成的2類。
熱積層構成的情形,就形成接著層15的接著成分而言,較佳係以馬來酸酐等的酸將聚烯烴系樹脂接枝改質之酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂。酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂因為在無極性之聚烯烴系樹脂的一部分導入有極性基,所以例如使用以聚烯烴系樹脂薄膜等形成之無極性的層作為密封膠層16、又使用具有極性的層作為第二抗腐蝕層14的情形,在此等兩方的層可牢固地密合。又,藉由使用酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂,對於電解液等內容物的耐性提升,即使在電池內部產生氟酸亦可容易防止因接著層15的劣化所致的密合力降低。此外,使用於接著層15的酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂可為1種、亦可為2種以上。
就用於酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂的聚烯烴系樹脂
而言,可列舉例如低密度、中密度或高密度的聚乙烯;乙烯-α烯烴共聚物;均聚、嵌段或無規聚丙烯;丙烯-α烯烴共聚物等。又,亦可使用使前述者與丙烯酸或甲基丙烯酸等的極性分子共聚合之共聚物、交聯聚烯烴等的聚合物等。此外,就改質前述聚烯烴系樹脂的酸而言,可列舉羧酸、酸酐等,較佳為馬來酸酐。
熱積層構成的情形,接著層15可藉由以擠壓裝置擠壓前述接著成分而形成。
乾式積層構成的情形,就接著層15的接著成分而言,可列舉例如對於聚酯多元醇、聚醚多元醇、丙烯酸多元醇等的主劑,使作為硬化劑之2官能以上的芳香族系或脂肪族系異氰酸酯化合物作用之2液硬化型的聚胺基甲酸酯系接著劑。但是,該聚胺基甲酸酯系接著劑由於具有酯基或胺基甲酸酯基等的水解性高的鍵結部位,所以在更要求高可靠性的用途方面,較加為熱積層構成。
乾式積層構成的接著層15可藉由在將接著成分塗敷至第二抗腐蝕層14上後,進行乾燥而形成。此外,若使用聚胺基甲酸酯系接著劑,可在塗敷後,藉由在例如40℃下進行4天以上的熟成(aging),使主劑的羥基與硬化劑的異氰酸酯基進行反應而牢固的接著。
接著層15的厚度從黏合性、追隨性、加工性等之觀點,較佳為2~50μm,更佳為3~20μm。
此外,如上所述,在第一抗腐蝕層12上形成被覆層13時,使用接著層的情形可使用在上述接著層15
的乾式積層構成中所列舉的2液硬化型的聚胺基甲酸酯系接著劑,作為構成該接著層之接著劑。此時,接著層的厚度從黏合性、追隨性、加工性等之點,較佳為1~10μm,更佳為3~7μm。
[密封膠層]
密封膠層16係在外裝材料1中,藉由熱封之賦予密封性的層。就密封膠層16而言,可列舉包含聚烯烴系樹脂、或使用馬來酸酐等的酸將聚烯烴系樹脂接枝改質之酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂的樹脂薄膜。
就聚烯烴系樹脂而言,可列舉例如低密度、中密度或高密度的聚乙烯;乙烯-α烯烴共聚物;均聚、嵌段或無規聚丙烯;丙烯-α烯烴共聚物等。此等聚烯烴系樹脂可單獨使用1種、亦可併用2種以上。
就改質聚烯烴系樹脂的酸而言,可列舉例如與在接著層15的說明中所列舉者相同者。
密封膠層16可為單層薄膜亦可為多層薄膜,只要因應必要的功能而選擇即可。例如,以賦予防濕性之點,可使用使乙烯-環狀烯烴共聚物或聚甲基戊烯等的樹脂介在之多層薄膜。
又,密封膠層16可摻合難燃劑、滑劑、抗結塊劑、抗氧化劑、光安定劑、黏著賦予劑等的各種添加材。
密封膠層16的厚度從確保絶緣性之觀點,較佳為10~100μm,更佳為20~60μm。
就外裝材料1而言,可為藉由乾式積層法而積
層有密封膠層16者,但從提升黏合性之點,較佳係將接著層15作為酸改質聚烯烴系樹脂,藉由三明治積層法、或共擠壓法使封膠層16積層者。
<蓄電裝置用外裝材料的製造方法>
以下,針對本實施形態之外裝材料1的製造方法進行說明。具體而言,可列舉具有下述步驟(1)~(3)的方法作為外裝材料1的製造方法,下述內容為一例,外裝材料1的製造方法並不限定於下述的內容。
步驟1:於金屬箔11的兩面(第一面及第二面),形成第一抗腐蝕層12及第二抗腐蝕層14的步驟。
步驟2:於形成在金屬箔11之第一面的第一抗腐蝕層12上,使用被覆層用原料(樹脂材料)形成被覆層13的步驟。
步驟3:於形成在金屬箔11之第二面的第二抗腐蝕層14上,隔著接著層15貼合密封膠層16的步驟。
(步驟1)
於金屬箔11的兩面,塗布例如抗腐蝕處理劑且將其乾燥,形成第一抗腐蝕層12及第二抗腐蝕層14。就抗腐蝕處理劑而言,可列舉前述的二氧化鈰溶膠處理用的抗腐蝕處理劑、鉻酸鹽處理用的抗腐蝕處理劑等。抗腐蝕處理劑的塗布方法係沒有特別地限定,可採用凹版塗布、逆向塗布(reverse coat)、輥塗、棒塗等各種方法。或者,藉由氧化處理金屬箔11的表面,於金屬箔11的兩面形成來自構成金屬箔11的金屬之金屬氧化物的層(第一抗腐蝕層12及第二抗腐蝕層14)。此外,可藉由抗腐蝕處
理劑處理金屬箔11的其中一面,而氧化處理另一面。
(步驟2)
於形成在金屬箔11之第一面的第一抗腐蝕層12上,塗布成為被覆層之被覆層用原料(樹脂材料)且將其乾燥,形成被覆層13。塗布方法係沒有特別地限定,可採用凹版塗布、逆向塗布、輥塗、棒塗等各種方法。塗敷後,例如以在60℃下7天的熟成處理能得到硬化促進。
(步驟3)
在依序積層被覆層13、第一抗腐蝕層12、金屬箔11及第二抗腐蝕層14之積層體的第二抗腐蝕層14上,形成接著層15,並貼合積層體與形成密封膠層16的樹脂薄膜。此時,亦可藉由共擠壓接著層15及密封膠層16而積層至積層體上。此外,形成密封膠層16之樹脂薄膜的兩面之中,至少與接著層15貼合之一面可進行電暈處理。
藉由以上說明的步驟(1)~(3),得到外裝材料1。此外,外裝材料1的製造方法之步驟順序係不限定於依序實施步驟(1)~(3)的方法。例如,可在進行步驟(3)後再進行步驟(2)。
<蓄電裝置>
準備2片如此所得之外裝材料1而使密封膠層16彼此相對向,或將1片的外裝材料1反折使密封膠層16彼此相對向,於內部配置發電元件或成為端子之調整片(tab)構件等,藉由以熱封接合周緣,而完成使用外裝材料1之蓄電裝置的盒(cell)。亦即,本實施形態之蓄電裝置係可為具備由上述蓄電裝置用外裝材料以前述密封膠層為內側
的方式所形成之容器的蓄電裝置。
更具體而言,本實施形態之蓄電裝置係具備含有電極的電池元件、由電極延伸的引線、與夾持引線且容納電池元件之容器,上述容器係由蓄電裝置用外裝材料以密封膠層為內側的方式所形成。上述容器係可使密封膠層彼此相對向而重疊2個的外裝材料,將被重疊的外裝材料之周緣部熱融合而得到,又可將1個的外裝材料反折使其重疊,同樣地將外裝材料的周緣部熱融合而得到。就蓄電裝置而言,可列舉例如鋰離子電池、鎳氫電池、及鉛蓄電池等的二次電池、以及電雙層(electric double layer)電容器等的電化學電容器。
以下,藉由實施例詳細說明本發明,但本發明並不因以下的記載而受到限定。
<試驗1>
[使用材料]
將製造實施例及比較例的外裝材料所使用之材料示於以下。
(被覆層)
(被覆層側接著層)
接著劑B-1:包含聚酯胺基甲酸酯系接著劑(聚酯多
元醇及聚異氰酸酯的2液硬化型的接著劑:層厚5μm)
(被覆層側抗腐蝕層:第一抗腐蝕層)
抗腐蝕層C-1:氧化鈰層(層厚100nm)
抗腐蝕層C-2:氧化鉻層(層厚100nm)
抗腐蝕層C-3:氧化鋁層(層厚100nm)
(金屬箔)
金屬箔D-1:軟質鋁箔8079材(東洋鋁公司製,厚度30μm)
(密封膠層側抗腐蝕層:第二抗腐蝕層)
抗腐蝕層E-1:氧化鈰層(層厚100nm)
(接著層)
接著樹脂F-1:以馬來酸酐接枝改質的聚丙烯系樹脂(商品名「Admer」、三井化學公司製,層厚20μm)
(密封膠層)
薄膜G-1:將密封膠層側抗腐蝕層E-1側的面經電暈處理之無延伸聚丙烯薄膜(層厚40μm)
(外裝材料的製作)
於金屬箔D-1的一面上以直接凹版塗敷來形成抗腐蝕層E-1。接著在未形成有抗腐蝕層E-1之金屬箔D-1的另一面,以直接凹版塗敷來形成抗腐蝕層C-1、C-2或C-3。實施例中係在金屬箔D-1中形成抗腐蝕層C-1、C-2或C-3的面,分別塗敷被覆層用原料A-1(實施例1)~A-20(實施例24)中的任一者,而形成被覆層。
另一方面,比較例中係在金屬箔D-1中形成抗腐蝕層C-1的面,分別塗敷被覆層用原料A-21(比較例1)
~A-29(比較例9),而形成被覆層。又,關於被覆層用原料A-30(比較例10)及A-31(比較例11),係分別藉由使用接著劑B-1的乾式積層法,貼合至金屬箔D-1中形成抗腐蝕層C-1的面。
接著,在所得之各實施例及比較例的積層體之抗腐蝕層E-1側,以擠壓裝置擠壓接著樹脂F-1而形成接著層後,進一步貼合薄膜G-1並藉由三明治積層法,形成密封膠層。經由以上的步驟,製作各實施例及比較例的外裝材料。
[各種評價]
依照以下的方法進行各種評價。將評價結果示於表2。
[成型性的評價]
將各例所得之外裝材料切成150mm×190mm的胚料形狀,在室溫23℃、露點溫度-35℃的成型環境下一邊使成型深度變化一邊進行冷成型,而評價成型性。
就衝床(punch)而言,係使用形狀為100mm×150mm、衝床轉角(punch corner)R(RCP)為1.5mm、衝床肩部R(RP)為0.75mm、模頭肩部R(RD)為0.75mm者。評價係依照以下的基準來進行。
「A」:沒有發生斷裂、裂痕,成型深度4mm以上的深引伸(deep drawing)成型為可能。
「B」:沒有發生斷裂、裂痕,成型深度3mm以上小於4mm的深引伸成型為可能。
「C」:在成型深度小於3mm的深引伸成型發生斷裂、裂痕。
[電解液耐性的評價]
於各例所得之外裝材料的被覆層,滴下添加微量的水(1500ppm)之電解液(碳酸伸乙酯/碳酸二甲酯/碳酸二乙酯=1:1:1wt%、LiPF6、1M),放置24小時後以異丙基醇擦拭。然後,評價滴下處的外觀。
「S」:無法辨識滴下電解液處,亦看不到經時變化。
「A」:無法辨識滴下電解液處。
「B」:雖在滴下電解液之處產生輪廓,但沒有遭受溶解及損傷。
「C」:滴下電解液之處因電解液而遭受溶解或損傷。
[耐熱性的評價]
由各例所得之外裝材料切取二片50mm×200mm的長條狀試樣。而且,在使試樣的被覆層彼此相對的狀態下,以加溫的熱封棒夾入10秒鐘,評價被覆層彼此是否接著。
「A」:即使在熱封溫度210℃亦沒有接著。
「B」:在熱封溫度200℃沒有接著,但在210℃接著。
「C」:在熱封溫度200℃接著。
[黏連(blocking)性的評價]
於金屬箔塗敷被覆層用原料後,進行乾燥且在剛形成被覆層之後,使加工成100mm×100mm的金屬箔被覆至被覆層上以得到評價試料。以加壓機對該評價試料施加規定的負荷後,加熱至60℃並保管1週。然後,在除掉被覆的金屬箔時,評價金屬箔是否接著於被覆層。
「A」:在負荷10kg/cm2的條件下,被覆的金屬箔與
被覆層沒有接著。
「B」:在負荷5kg/cm2的條件下,雖然被覆的金屬箔與被覆層沒有接著,但在負荷10kg/cm2的條件,被覆的金屬箔與被覆層接著了。
「C」:在負荷5kg/cm2的條件下,被覆的金屬箔與被覆層接著了。
[使用期限的評價]
作為成為被覆層之處理劑,係在混合主劑、硬化劑、溶劑後(總量100g),於25℃ 65%RH的環境進行攪拌機攪拌、保管。計量自調液起至處理劑凝膠化為止的時間。
「A」:在調液後經過8小時的時間點沒有凝膠化。
「B」:在調液後經過5小時的時間點沒有凝膠化,但在調液後經過8小時的時間點凝膠化了。
「C」:在調液後經過5小時的時間點凝膠化了。
<試驗2>
[使用材料]
將製造實施例及比較例之外裝材料所使用的材料示於以下。
(被覆層)
(其他構成)
試驗2係使用在試驗1使用的接著劑B-1、抗腐蝕層C-1、金屬箔D-1、抗腐蝕層E-1、接著樹脂F-1、及薄膜G-1。
(外裝材料的製作)
在金屬箔D-1的其中一面上,以直接凹版塗敷方式形成抗腐蝕層E-1。接著,在沒有形成抗腐蝕層E-1之金屬箔D-1的另一面上,以直接凹版塗敷方式形成抗腐蝕層C-1。在本實施例中,係在金屬箔D-1形成抗腐蝕層C-1的面,分別塗敷被覆層用原料A-1’(實施例1’)~A-37’(實施例37’)中的任一者,形成被覆層。
另一方面,比較例中,在金屬箔D-1形成抗腐蝕層C-1的面,分別塗敷被覆層用原料A-38’(比較例1’)~A-40’(比較例3’),形成被覆層。又,關於被覆層用原料A-41’(比較例4’)及A-42’(比較例5’),係分別藉由使用接著劑B-1的乾式積層法,貼合在金屬箔D-1形成抗腐蝕層C-1的面上。
接著,在所得之各實施例及比較例的積層體之抗腐蝕層E-1側,以擠壓裝置擠壓接著樹脂F-1而形成接著層後,進一步貼合薄膜G-1並藉由三明治積層法形成密封膠層。經由以上的步驟,製作各實施例及比較例的外裝材料。
[各種評價]
依照以下的方法進行各種評價。將評價結果示於表4。此外,針對成型性、電解液耐性、耐熱性、黏連(blocking)
性及使用期限,與試驗1同樣地進行評價。
[靜摩擦係數的測定]
針對各例所得之外裝材料1,根據JIS K 7125測定被覆層13之與第一抗腐蝕層12相反的面之靜摩擦係數。測定係依照以下的基準來進行。
「A」:靜摩擦係數為0.15以上0.45以下。
「B」:靜摩擦係數為0.10以上且小於0.15,或超過0.45且為0.60以下。
另外,表中雖沒有記載,但試驗2的實施例的外裝材料亦與試驗1的實施例的外裝材料相同,關於黏連性及使用期限為A或B評價。
具有本發明之構成的實施例,能提供一種能維持充分的成型性,並且具有即使附著電解液亦難以變質的電解液耐性、與優異的耐熱性之蓄電裝置用外裝材料。
Claims (10)
- 一種蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其係在金屬箔的第一面上依序具備第一抗腐蝕層及被覆層,在該金屬箔的第二面上依序具備第二抗腐蝕層、接著層及密封膠層,且該被覆層係含有選自包含氟系樹脂及非晶性聚酯系樹脂之群組的至少一種。
- 如請求項1之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該被覆層的厚度為3~30μm。
- 如請求項1或2之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該氟系樹脂為四氟化型的氟樹脂,該非晶性聚酯系樹脂為溶劑可溶(solvent-soluble)型聚酯。
- 如請求項1至3中任一項之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該氟系樹脂及該非晶性聚酯系樹脂係藉由異氰酸酯而硬化。
- 如請求項4之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該異氰酸酯含有甲苯二異氰酸酯(tolylene diisocyanate)。
- 如請求項1至5中任一項之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該被覆層的與該第一抗腐蝕層相反側之面的靜摩擦係數為0.10~0.60。
- 如請求項1至6中任一項之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該被覆層係進一步含有選自包含氟系添加劑及聚矽氧系添加劑之群組的至少一種添加劑。
- 如請求項7之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該氟系添加劑為聚四氟乙烯或全氟聚醚,該聚矽氧系添加劑為烷基 改質聚矽氧或聚醚改質聚矽氧。
- 如請求項7或8之蓄電裝置用外裝材料,其中該添加劑的含量為0.05~1.00質量%。
- 一種蓄電裝置,其具備由如請求項1至9中任一項之蓄電裝置用外裝材料以該密封膠層為內側的方式所形成之容器。
