Abstract
A counter-current liquid-liquid extraction system suitable for liquid flowing therein, which comprises: a substantially vertical extraction column comprising a central shaft penetrating therethrough and a set of an axially interleaving transversal calming section and a mixing section; an agitation device installed in each mixing section in order to provide a non-vertical pushing force on the liquid flowing therein; a structured packing layer installed between the calming section and the mixing section; a structured packing layer installed in the calming section, which comprises at least one layer of wavy contact plates opposedly installed to promote the motion of fluid flowing therethrough.
