Abstract

An adjustment device for the elevation of a bicycle handlebar, comprising a holding member (1) with a post (3) for mounting in a steering tube of the bicycle, and a projecting arm (4) being at one end connected to the holding member (1) and angularly adjustable in relation thereto, for adjusting the height position of the handlabar and the opposite end of arm (4) with a mounting means (20) for rigid attachment of the handlebar and the holding member (1) bearing a boss (5) provided with a number of radial recesses (5A-C) spaced along the circumference of the boss over a range of angles corresponding to the angular adjustability of arm (4) comprising a spring loaded locking bolt (7), one end (7A) of which selectively can enter into one of the recesses (5A-C) for fixing the arm (4) in a desired angular position and a protruding operating lever (9) serving to retract locking bolt (7) from the recess (5A) concerned, against the effect of said spring loading (8), characterizing: the operating lever (9) protruding laterally and directly from the arm to a nearby sector of the handlebar in the mounting element (20).
