Abstract
A supported catalyst system obtained by a) reacting a finely divided carrier with an α-trisalkoxy-silyl-ω-haloalkyl compound, b) adding a metallocene complex of the formula I (I) where M is zirconium, X is chlorine, R1 to R3 and R6 to R8 are each hydrogen, C1-C10 -alkyl, where two neighboring radicals together may furthermore be a cyclic group of 4 to 15 carbon atoms, or Si(R10)3, R10 is C1-C10 -alkyl, R4 is (group) Q1 is nitrogen, R11 and R12 are each C1 -C10 -alkyl, R9 is hydrogen, C1 -C10 -alkyl, where two neighboring radicals together may furthermore be a cyclic group of 4 to 15 carbon atoms, or Si(R13)3 or (group) R13 is C1 -C10 -alkyl, Q2 is nitrogen, R14 and R15 are each C1 -C10 -alkyl, Y is (group) or (group) Z is silicon, or carbon and, R16 and R17 are each C1 -C10 -alkyl or C6 -C15 -aryl, c) reacting with a quaternizing agent of the formula V Aa X2 V where A is C1 -C10 -alkyl, X2 is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and a is 1, and d) optionally, adding an open-chain or cyclic alumoxane compound of the formula VI or VII (formulae) where R20 is C1 -C4 -alkyl and m is an integer from 5 to 30, in the stated sequence.
