Abstract

An acrylic sheet having an obverse side and a reverse side and being suitable for use as a noise protection screen comprising: (I) a matrix of an acrylic polymer; and (ii) a plurality of strips of a plastics material embedded within the acrylic matrix between the obverse side and the reverse side, in each strip: (a) having a length and a width which define a wide surface; (b) its thickness substantially being smaller than its width; (c) being capable of being fibrilated along its length; and (d) the positioning thereof enabling its wide surface being substantially parallel to the obverse side and the reverse side.
