Abstract
A method for solidification of solutions containing boric acid and/or borates, which comprises: (1) adjusting the pH of the solution to 7~10; (2) concentrating the solution to a moisture content of less than 30% while maintaining all borates in a dissolved state thereby promoting the formation of borates with high polymerization; (3) mixing the solution with a solidification agent which is a mixture of one or more compounds or composite of compounds selected from oxides, hydroxides, salts of metals having two or more valences, thereby producing a hardenable slurry.
