Abstract

A stereo camera capable of showing an accurate stereo image by improving the accuracy of the position of the negative mounted in the stereo slide frame. For obtaining an appropriate perspective view, the position of a projection image of the detectable negative hole relative to the focus plate is controlled by a detection device projecting a negative image on the left and right focus plates and adjusting the clearance between the left and right projection images until an accurate perspective view is found. A printing device 81 drives a printer head 87 based on the detected position data, and prints out a pointer on the negative frame 41a of the stereo slide frame for the hole completing the positioning operation. The mounting of the negative is completed when the pointer on the negative frame 51a is consistent with the hole of the negative. Under such a status, the set-off amount of the negative image relative to the image window of the stereo slide frame is fixed at a value equivalent to the set-off amount of the projection image relative to the focus plate. The position can be measured by the detection device.
