507185 A7 ____B7_ 五、發明説明(彳) 【發明所屬之技術範圍】 (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 本發明係有關顯示裝置,尤其有關於經由薄膜電晶體 (以下以T F T表之)所驅動,具備於液相步驟形成之高 分子系之有機場致發光元件(以下以〇E L D表之)的薄 膜電晶體驅動有機場致發光顯示裝置(以下以T F T -〇E L D表之)。 【以往之技術】 T F T -〇E L D係做爲實現輕重量、薄型、小型、 高精細、廣視角、低消耗電力等的顯示裝置,灰於未來有 其展望。於圖1 ,顯示以往之TFT — OELD,於圖2 顯示該截面圖。在此,雖僅以一個畫素1 1加以表示,但 實際上存在有複數行、複數列之多數畫素11。在此 〇E LD 18係高分子系者,經由旋轉塗佈、刀刃塗佈、 噴墨等之液相步驟加以形成。 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 如圖1所示之構成時,爲實現灰階之時,需要變化激 勵T F T 1 7之閘極電壓,變化電導地,控制 〇E L D 1 8流入之電流。但是,根據此方式之時,尤其 於中間灰階時,激勵T F T 1 7之電晶體特性之參差以 〇E L D 1 8之亮度參差之形式表現之故,而會有使晝面 產生不均勻之問題。 在此,想出如圖3所示,經由變化〇E L D 1 8之發 光面積,實現灰階之方式(日本特願平9 一 2 3 3 1 0 7 號)。於圖4,顯示此方式之驅動方式。於掃瞄線1 2施 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS ) A4規格(210X297公釐}— -4 -
