Abstract

Description
本發明係關於一種包含三種磷化合物之協同性組合的潤滑油組成物,該三種磷化合物提供該潤滑組成物具有提高的熱穩定性和好的去乳化性及抗磨損性能。
由於環境關心及可能的毒性問題,對包括無灰分添加劑之潤滑組成物增加興趣。在某些應用中,因偏好其它無灰分添加劑,將減少諸如ZDDP之抗磨損添加劑的使用。結果,有需要提供一種包括無灰分添加劑,同時仍然提供抗磨損性能至少和含金屬添加劑幾乎一樣或甚至比其好的潤滑組成物。
此外,對液壓設備來說,壓力增加將伴隨著潤滑油的溫度增加,因此,使用於液壓設備的潤滑油組成物之熱穩定性非常重要。但是,許多無灰分液壓潤滑油組成物在熱穩定性測試中未有可接受的表現。因此,對具有好的熱穩定性之無灰分或含減少金屬的潤滑油組成物有需求。
對會遭遇水污染及紊流的油來說,水油分離的能力重要。亦想要液壓潤滑組成物在去乳化性測試上表現良好。
本發明提供一種使用在液壓系統、渦輪機系統或循環油系統中的潤滑組成物。該液壓系統通常係一種對流體,典型為油基底的流體,施加壓力以將能量傳送至該系統的不同部分之裝置或設備。渦輪機潤滑劑典型使用來潤滑渦輪機(或渦輪機系統)諸如蒸氣渦輪機或氣體渦輪機的齒輪或其它移動零件。循環油典型透過循環該油而使用來將熱分佈至或通過一裝置或設備。
其中R4、R5及R7各者各自獨立地係具有1至18個碳原子之線性或分枝的飽和或不飽和環狀脂肪烴基團、或具有5至18個碳原子之分枝或未分枝的飽和或不飽和環狀烴基團;R6係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基;X4及X5各者各自獨立地係氧原子或硫原子或其組合。在一個具體實例中,該添加劑(1)、添加劑(2)及添加劑(3)係以足以對該潤滑組成物提供至少約200ppm磷之量存在於該潤滑組成物中。
在一個具體實例中,該潤滑組成物可無灰分。在另一個具體實例中,該潤滑組成物可無過渡金屬。在另一個具體實例中,該潤滑組成物可包括鈣作為在該組成物中的唯一金屬。
該潤滑組成物亦可包括額外的添加劑,如於本文中進一步解釋。
所揭示的技術之一種組分(a)係潤滑黏度油,亦指為基礎油。該基礎油可選自於美國石油協會(API)基礎油互換性指南(Base Oil Interchangeability Guidelines)的I-V群中之任何基礎油,換句話說:
第I、II及III群係礦物油基本油料。該潤滑黏度油可包括天然或合成油及其混合物。可使用礦物油與合成油例如聚α烯烴油及/或聚酯油之混合物。
天然油包括動物油及蔬菜油(例如,蔬菜酸酯)和礦物潤滑油,諸如液體石油,及石蠟、環烷或混合的石蠟-環烷型式之經溶劑處理或酸處理的礦物潤滑油。經氫化處理或加氫裂解的油亦係有用的潤滑黏度油。衍生自煤或頁岩的潤滑黏度油亦有用。
合成油包括烴油及經鹵取代的烴油,諸如聚合及互聚合的烯烴及其混合物、烷基苯、聚苯基、烷基化的二苯基醚及烷基化的硫化二苯基及其衍生物、其類似物及同系物。其它種類的合成潤滑油有環氧烷烴聚合物及互聚物及其衍生物、及終端羥基已經藉由例如酯化或醚化修改的那些。其它合適的合成潤滑油包含二羧酸的酯、及從C5至C12單羧酸與多元醇或多元醇醚所製 造的那些。其它合成潤滑油包括含磷的酸之液體酯、聚合的四氫呋喃類;以矽為基礎的油,諸如多烷基-、多芳基-、多烷氧基-或多芳基氧基-矽氧烷油、及矽酸鹽油。
其它合成油包括藉由Fischer-Tropsch反應所製造的那些,典型為加氫異構化的Fischer-Tropsch烴或蠟。在一個具體實例中,該油可藉由Fischer-Tropsch氣轉液合成程序製備和其它氣轉液油。
可使用於此上述所揭示的型式之天然或合成(和其混合物)的未提煉、已提煉及再提煉油。未提煉油係從天然或合成來源直接獲得而沒有進一步純化處理的那些。提煉油係類似於未提煉油,除了其已經以一或多個純化步驟進一步處理而改良一或多種性質外。再提煉油係藉由與使用來獲得提煉油類似之方法,將其施加至已經使用於作業的提煉油所獲得的那些。再提煉油經常進行額外加工以移除廢添加劑及油分解產物。
在某些具體實例中,該工業潤滑劑組成物亦可包括少量的一或多種非合成基礎油。這些非合成基礎油的實施例包括於本文中所描述的那些之任何,包括API第I群、第II群或第III群基礎油。
所存在的潤滑黏度油之量典型為在以100重量%減去本發明的化合物量與其它性能添加劑之總和後所殘餘的差額。對潤滑劑組成物來說,該潤滑黏度油可以主要量存在;或對濃縮物及/或添加劑組成物來說,以形成濃縮物的量存在。本發明的工業潤滑劑組成物可係潤滑劑組成物或濃縮物及/或添加劑組成物。
在根據本發明之完整調配的潤滑油組成物中,該潤滑黏度油通常以主要量(即,量大於50重量百分比)存在。典型來說,該潤滑黏度油係以75至98重量百分比之量存在,及經常大於該整體組成物的80重量百分比。
可單獨或組合著使用多種所描述的潤滑黏度油。可在所描述的工業潤滑劑組成物中使用之潤滑黏度油(考慮全部存在的油)範圍在約40或50重量百分比至約99重量百分比,或從最小49.8、70、85、93、93.5或甚至97至最高最大99.8、99、98.5、98或甚至97重量百分比。
在又其它具體實例中,可使用的潤滑黏度油係60至97,或80至97,或甚至85至97重量百分比。換句話說,於本文中所描述的組成物可包括至少60、80或甚至85重量百分比的潤滑黏度油。
在濃縮組成物中,典型的添加劑及其它組分量仍然相同,但是潤滑黏度油的量減低,以使得該組成物更濃及更有效率地貯存及/或運送。熟悉此技藝人士將能夠容易地調整所存在的潤滑黏度油量以提供濃縮物及/或添加劑組成物。
在式(1)中,R係氫原子或具有3至9個碳原子的烷基,例如,3、4、5、6、7、8、9個碳原子或其組合;及X係氧原子或硫原子。在式(1)中,該三個R基團可互相相同或不同。具有4或較少個碳原子的烷基之實施例包括甲基、乙基、正丙基、異丙基、正丁基、異丁基及三級丁基。
由式(1)表示的磷化合物之實施例包括磷酸三苯酯、磷酸三甲苯酯、硫代磷酸三苯酯、硫代磷酸三甲苯酯及丁基化的硫逐磷酸三苯酯(triphenyl phosphorothionate)。
在本發明的一個具體實例中,可單獨使用上述磷化合物之一作為該第一添加劑(1),或可使用其二或更多種之組合。
使用作為在本組成物中的第二添加劑(2)之磷化合物係包含由下列式(2)所表示的化合物之磷化合物。
在式(2)中,R1代表具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基;R2及R3各者代表具有3至20個碳原 子的烴基團;及X2及X3各者各自獨立地代表氧原子或硫原子。
在一個具體實例中,R1可係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基,更佳為具有2至4個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基,及進一步較佳為分枝的伸烷基。特別是,R1較佳為例如-CH2CH2-、-CH2CH(CH3)-、-CH2CH(CH2CH3)-或-CH2CH(CH2CH2CH3)-;及更佳為-CH2CH(CH3)-或-CH2CH(CH3)CH2-。
在一個具體實例中,R2至R3各者較佳為代表具有3至8個碳原子的線性或分枝烷基,及更佳為具有4至6個碳原子的線性或分枝烷基。特別是,R2至R3各者較佳為選自於由下列所組成之群:丙基、異丙基、丁基、異丁基、戊基、異戊基、己基、2-乙基丁基、1-甲基戊基、1,3-二甲基丁基及2-乙基己基。
在一個具體實例中,X2及X3二者代表氧原子。在另一個具體實例中,X2及X3二者代表硫原子。在另一個具體實例中,X2係氧及X3係硫;及在另一個具體實例中,X2係硫及X3係氧。
在本組成物中,可單獨使用上述二硫代磷酸鹽化合物之一作為該第二添加劑(2),或可使用其二或更多種之組合。
該使用在本組成物中作為第三添加劑(3)的化合物包含由下列式(3)所表示的硫代磷酸鹽化合物。
在式(3)中,R4、R5及R7各者各自獨立地係具有1至18個碳原子之線性或分枝的飽和或不飽和脂肪烴基團,或具有5至18個碳原子之分枝或未分枝的飽和或不飽和環狀烴基團。R6係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基;X4及X5各者各自獨立地係氧原子或硫原子。在一個具體實例式(3)中,存在有至少一個硫原子。
在一個具體實例中,X4及X5二者代表氧原子。在另一個具體實例中,X4及X5二者代表硫原子。在另一個具體實例中,X4係氧及X5係硫;及在另一個具體實例中,X4係硫及X5係氧。
本發明之潤滑組成物包括全部的添加劑(1)、(2)及(3)。在一個具體實例中,該添加劑(1)、(2)及(3)係以0.32-1.5份的添加劑(1)對0.5-2.5份的添加劑(2)對1份的添加劑(3)之比率存在。在另一個具體實例中,該添加劑(1)、(2)及(3)係以2.5份的添加劑(1)對1.5份的添加劑(2)對1份的添加劑(3)之比率存在。在另一個有用的具體實例中,該添加劑(1)、(2)及(3)係以足以對該潤滑油組成物提供至少200ppm磷之量存在於該潤滑組成物中。對某些應用來說,需要此磷的量以提供足夠的抗磨損保護。
該潤滑劑組成物可呈濃縮物及/或完整調配的潤滑劑形式。若本發明之潤滑劑組成物(包含於本文中所揭示的添加劑)係呈濃縮物形式(其可與額外的油結合以便整體或部分形成完成的潤滑劑)時,這些添加劑對潤滑黏度油及/或對稀釋油的比率範圍包括1:99至99:1,以重量計;或80:20至10:90,以重量計。
除了上述3種添加劑外,該潤滑劑組成物亦可包括一或多種額外的其它添加劑。在某些具體實例中,該額外的添加劑可包括抗氧化劑、抗磨損劑、腐蝕抑制劑、生鏽抑制劑、發泡抑制劑、分散劑、去乳化劑、金屬去活化劑、摩擦力調節劑、清潔劑、乳化劑、極壓劑、傾點下降劑、黏度調節劑或其任何組合。
因此,該潤滑劑可包含抗氧化劑或其混合物。該抗氧化劑可以該潤滑劑之0重量%至4.0重量%,或0.02重量%至3.0重量%,或0.03重量%至1.5重量%存在。
該抗氧化劑包括二芳基胺、烷基化的二芳基胺、位阻酚、鉬化合物(諸如,二硫代胺基甲酸鉬類)、羥基硫醚、三甲基多喹啉(例如,1,2-二氫-2,2,4-三甲基喹啉)或其混合物。
該二芳基胺或烷基化的二芳基胺可係苯基-α-萘胺(PANA)、烷基化的二苯胺、或烷基化的苯基萘胺、或其混合物。該烷基化的二苯胺可包括二壬基化的二苯胺、壬基二苯胺、辛基二苯胺、二辛基化的二苯胺、二癸基化的二苯胺、癸基二苯胺、苄基二苯胺及其混合 物。在一個具體實例中,該二苯胺可包括壬基二苯胺、二壬基二苯胺、辛基二苯胺、二辛基二苯胺或其混合物。在一個具體實例中,該烷基化的二苯胺可包括壬基二苯胺或二壬基二苯胺。該烷基化的二芳基胺可包括辛基、二辛基、壬基、二壬基、癸基或二癸基苯基萘胺。在一個具體實例中,該二苯胺係以苯及三級丁基取代基進行烷基化。
該位阻酚抗氧化劑經常包括二級丁基及/或三級丁基作為空間位阻基團。該酚基團可進一步以烴基(典型為線性或分枝烷基)及/或連結至第二芳香基團的橋接基團取代。合適的位阻酚抗氧化劑之實施例包括2,6-二-三級丁基酚(2,6-di-tert-butylphenol)、4-甲基-2,6-二-三級丁基酚、4-乙基-2,6-二-三級丁基酚、4-丙基-2,6-二-三級丁基酚、或4-丁基-2,6-二-三級丁基酚、或4-十二烷基-2,6-二-三級丁基酚。在一個具體實例中,該位阻酚抗氧化劑可係酯及可包括例如來自BASF GmbH的IrganoxTM L-135。可在美國專利6,559,105中找到合適的含酯位阻酚抗氧化劑化學物質之更詳細說明。
其中R6可係具有8至20個碳原子之飽和或不飽和的分枝或線性烷基;R7、R8、R9及R10各自獨立地係氫 或包括1至3個碳原子的烷基。在某些具體實例中,該經取代的烴基單硫化物包括正十二烷基-2-羥乙基硫化物、1-(三級十二烷硫基)-2-丙醇或其組合。在某些具體實例中,該經取代的烴基單硫化物係1-(三級十二烷硫基)-2-丙醇。
該潤滑劑組成物亦可包括分散劑或其混合物。合適的分散劑包括:(i)聚醚胺;(ii)硼酸化的琥珀醯亞胺分散劑;(iii)未硼酸化的琥珀醯亞胺分散劑;(iv)二烷基胺、醛與經烴基取代的酚之Mannich反應產物;或其任何組合。在某些具體實例中,該分散劑可以該整體組成物之0重量%或0.01重量%至2.0重量%,0.05重量%至1.5重量%,或0.005重量%至1重量%,或0.05重量%至0.5重量%存在。

該抗發泡劑亦已知為發泡抑制劑,其係在技藝中知曉及包括有機聚矽氧及非矽發泡抑制劑。該有機聚矽氧的實施例包括二甲基聚矽氧及聚矽氧烷。該非矽發泡抑制劑的實施例包括丙烯酸乙酯與丙烯酸2-乙基己基酯之共聚物;丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸2-乙基己基酯及醋酸乙烯酯之共聚物;聚醚、聚丙烯酸酯及其混合物。在某些具體實例中,該抗發泡劑係聚丙烯酸酯。該抗發泡劑可以0.001重量%至0.012重量%或0.004重量%或甚至0.001重量%至0.003重量%存在於該組成物中。

該傾點下降劑係在技藝中知曉及包括馬來酸酐-苯乙烯共聚物的酯類、聚甲基丙烯酸酯、聚丙烯酸酯、聚丙烯醯胺、鹵基石蠟與芳香族化合物之縮合產物、羧酸乙烯酯聚合物、及反丁烯二酸二烷基酯的三聚物、 脂肪酸的乙烯基酯、乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯共聚物、烷基酚甲醛縮合樹脂、烷基乙烯醚及其混合物。
該潤滑劑組成物亦可包括生鏽抑制劑。合適的生鏽抑制劑包括烷基磷酸的烴基胺鹽、二烷基二硫代磷酸的烴基胺鹽、烴基芳基磺酸的烴基胺鹽、脂肪羧酸或其酯、含氮羧酸的酯、磺酸銨、咪唑啉、與醇或醚反應之烷基化的琥珀酸衍生物、或其任何組合、或其混合物。
其中R26及R27各自獨立地係氫、烷基鏈或烴基,典型來說,R26及R27之至少一個係烴基。R26及R27包括4至30,或8至25,或10至20,或13至19個碳原子。R28、R29及R30各自獨立地係氫、具有1至30,或4至24,或6至20,或10至16個碳原子之烷基分枝或線性烷基鏈。R28、R29及R30各自獨立地係氫、烷基分枝或線性烷基鏈;或R28、R29及R30之至少一個或二個係氫。
合適於R28、R29及R30的烷基之實施例包括丁基、二級丁基、異丁基、三級丁基、戊基、正己基、二級己基、正辛基、2-乙基、己基、癸基、十一烷基、十二烷基、十三烷基、十四烷基、十五烷基、十六烷基、十七烷基、十八烷基、十八碳烯基、十九烷基、廿烷基 或其混合物。
在一個具體實例中,該烷基磷酸的烴基胺鹽係C14至C18烷基化的磷酸與Primene®81R(由Rohm & Haas製造及出售)之反應產物,其中該Primene®81R係C11至C14三級烷基一級胺之混合物。

該金屬去活化劑可以該潤滑油組成物之0或0.001重量%至0.1重量%,0.01重量%至0.04重量%,或0.015重量%至0.03重量%的範圍存在。該金屬去活化劑亦可以0.002重量%或0.004重量%至0.02重量%存在於該組成物中。該金屬去活化劑可單獨或以其混合物使用。
在一個具體實例中,本發明提供一種更包含一含金屬清潔劑的潤滑劑組成物。在某些具體實例中,該含金屬清潔劑可係鈣或鎂清潔劑。在一個具體實例中,該含金屬清潔劑亦可係具有總鹼數範圍30至500毫克KOH/克當量之高鹼性清潔劑。在另一個具體實例中,該含金屬清潔劑可係具有總鹼數0至30,或甚至0至10,或甚至30或較低,或甚至10或較低毫克KOH/克當 量的中性清潔劑。
該含金屬清潔劑可選自於不含硫的酚鹽、含硫的酚鹽、磺酸鹽、薩利沙鹽(salixarates)、水楊酸鹽及其混合物、或其硼酸化的同等物。該清潔劑可以硼酸化試劑諸如硼酸來硼酸化,諸如硼酸化的高鹼性磺酸鈣或鎂清潔劑或其混合物。該清潔劑可以該液壓組成物之0重量%至5重量%,或0.001重量%至1.5重量%,或0.005重量%至1重量%,或0.01重量%至0.5重量%存在。

該潤滑組成物亦可包括一或多種黏度調節劑。可使用任何已知的黏度調節劑。在一個具體實例中,本發明的潤滑組成物實質上無或全部無聚(甲基)丙烯酸酯作為黏度調節劑。合適於使用在本發明中的黏度調節劑(經常指為黏度指數改良劑)包括聚合材料,其包括苯乙烯-丁二烯橡膠、烯烴共聚物、氫化的苯乙烯-異戊二烯聚合物、氫化的自由基異戊二烯聚合物、聚(甲基)丙烯酸酯、聚烷基苯乙烯、氫化的烯基芳基共軛二烯共聚物、馬來酸酐-苯乙烯共聚物之酯或其混合物。在某些具體實例中,該黏度調節劑係聚(甲基)丙烯酸酯、烯烴共聚物或其混合物。該黏度調節劑可以該潤滑劑之0重量%至10重量%,0.5重量%至8重量%,1重量%至6重量%存在。
在一個具體實例中,於該潤滑組成物中所使用的全部添加劑可無灰分。在另一個具體實例中,該潤滑組成物可無含過渡金屬的添加劑。在又另一個具體實例中,該潤滑組成物可包括鈣係唯一金屬之添加劑。
其中R4、R5及R7各者各自獨立地係具有1至18個碳原子之線性或分枝的飽和或不飽和脂肪烴基團,或具有5至18個碳原子之分枝或未分枝的飽和或不飽和環狀烴基團。R6係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基;X4及X5各者各自獨立地係氧原子或硫原子。在一個具體實例中,於該添加劑(3)中存在有至少一個硫原子。
在一個具體實例中,該添加劑(1)、添加劑(2) 及添加劑(3)可以足以對該潤滑組成物提供至少約200ppm磷之量存在於該潤滑組成物中。

本發明亦提供一種潤滑液壓系統、渦輪機系統或循環油系統的方法,其包含對該液壓系統、渦輪機系統或循環油系統供應一包含下列的潤滑組成物:(A)一潤滑黏度油;(B)一抗磨損添加劑包裹,其中該抗磨損添加劑包裹由下列組成:0.32至1.5份由下式表示的第一抗磨損添加劑(1):

在一個具體實例中,於該添加劑(3)中存在有至少一個硫原子。在一個具體實例中,該添加劑包裹係以足以對該組成物提供至少200ppm磷之量存在。
在一個具體實例中,本發明的潤滑組成物係使用於液壓系統、渦輪機系統或循環油系統。該液壓系統通常係一將壓力施加至流體,典型為油基底的流體,以將能量傳送至該系統的不同部分之裝置或設備。該渦輪機潤滑劑典型使用來潤滑渦輪機(或渦輪機系統)諸如蒸氣渦輪機或氣體渦輪機的齒輪或其它移動零件。該循環油典型透過循環其而使用來將熱分佈至或通過一裝置或設備其。
較佳的是,本發明之潤滑組成物顯示出好的去乳化性、好的水解穩定性及好的熱穩定性。本發明之三種抗磨損添加劑組合提供一協同提供下列性質組合的潤滑組成物:3毫升較少,或甚至2毫升或較少,或甚 至1毫升或較少的油水乳液,如藉由ASTM D1401測量;在ASTM D2619的水解穩定性測試中之結果,其中水酸性係4毫克或較少,或甚至3毫克或較少,或甚至3毫克或較少,或甚至1毫克或較少的KOH;及銅評比係2B或較好,如藉由D130決定;藉由D2070之熱穩定性測量,其顯示出銅棒評比係5或較少,或少於5,或甚至4或較少,或甚至少於4,鋼棒評比係1;及總淤漿含量係25毫克/100毫升或較少,或甚至20毫克/100毫升或較少,或甚至15毫克/100毫升或較少,或甚至12毫克/100毫升或較少。
製備一組液壓潤滑組成物,如總整理在表1中。
測試如此製備的潤滑組成物,根據ASTM D1401來評估去乳化性、根據D2619的水解穩定性(水酸性)、根據ASTM D130的銅長條評比及根據ASTM D2070的熱穩定性。結果總整理在表2中。
已知上述某些材料可在最後調配物中交互作用,使得最後調配物之組分可與初始加入的那些不同。將無法容易地描述出因此形成的產物,包括在將本發明之潤滑劑組成物使用於其意欲的用途後所形成之產物。然而,此等改質及反應產物全部皆包括在本發明之範圍內,本發明包括藉由混合上述組分所製備的潤滑劑組成物。

Claims (28)

其中R係氫或具有3至9個碳原子的烷基,及X係氧原子或硫原子;(C)由下式表示的第二添加劑(2): 其中R1係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基,R2及R3各者代表具有3至20個碳原子的烴基團,及X2及X3各者各自獨立地係氧原子或硫原子或其組合;及(D)由下式表示的第三添加劑(3): 其中R4、R5及R7各者各自獨立地係具有1至18個碳原子之線性或分枝的飽和或不飽和脂肪烴基團,或具有5至18個碳原子之分枝或未分枝的飽和或不飽 和環狀烴基團;R6係具有1至8個碳原子的線性或分枝伸烷基;X4及X5各者各自獨立地係氧原子或硫原子;及其中該添加劑(1)、添加劑(2)及添加劑(3)係以足以對該潤滑組成物提供至少約200ppm磷之量存在於該潤滑組成物中。 - 如請求項1之潤滑組成物,其中該潤滑黏度油包含API第I群油。
- 如請求項1之潤滑組成物,其中該潤滑黏度油包含API第II群油。
