Abstract

Provided is a method of recommending an item of an electronic device, including providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service according to a topic, identifying a user input for the banner, based on the user input, identifying information on a plurality of categories corresponding to the topic and information on an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories, and based on the identified information, providing a second page including the item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories.

Method for recommending items executed by an electronic device, electronic device for providing item recommendation service, and non-temporary computer-readable storage medium

The present invention relates to a method for providing information about an item and an electronic device using the method.

With the development of devices such as smartphones, the number of users who purchase items sold through e-commerce (or electronic commerce) is increasing. For example, the online purchasing area for common groceries such as fresh food is also gradually expanding. As users turn to online platforms that include applications, the frequency of ordering items is increasing.

Users can purchase items related to a specific theme on a service platform. In this way, if information about various items related to a specific theme is provided to meet the user's demand for purchasing items, users using the service can conveniently purchase items related to the specific theme.

One aspect provides a method including recognizing a user input to a banner related to a specific theme within a service and recommending to the user a plurality of items belonging to each of a plurality of categories of the specific theme, and an electronic device using the method.

The technical problems to be solved by the exemplary embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the technical problems described above, and other technical challenges can be inferred from the following exemplary embodiments.

According to one aspect, a method for recommending an item for an electronic device is provided, the method comprising: providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identifying a user input for the banner; based on the user input, identifying information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and based on the identified information, providing a second page including the item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the information about the plurality of categories may include identification information of each of the plurality of categories and information about a priority of each of the plurality of categories, the second page may include a plurality of areas corresponding to each of the plurality of categories and including the list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories, and providing the second page may include providing the second page including the plurality of areas configured based on the information about a priority.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the priority of each of the plurality of categories may be determined based on at least one of a purchase conversion rate, a gross profit per unit (GPPU), and an average selling price (ASP) for each of the plurality of categories.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the information about a list of items may include GPPU information of each item included in a first list of items belonging to a first category among the plurality of categories, the second page may include a first area corresponding to the first category among the plurality of categories and including a list of items belonging to the first category, and providing the second page may include providing the first area of the first list of items configured based on the GPPU information of each item.

According to an exemplary embodiment, providing the first page including the banner may include providing the banner during an orderable period configured to allow delivery at a preset delivery time.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the method may further include receiving a search keyword; identifying that the received search keyword is a keyword related to the topic; and providing the banner via a third page of search results including the search keyword.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the identifying information about the plurality of categories and the information about the item list may include: identifying first information about a plurality of items belonging to a first category among the plurality of categories; and selecting a list of items belonging to the first category from among the plurality of items based on the first information about the plurality of items, wherein the first information may include at least one of GPPU information, gross merchandise volume (GMV) information, information about delivery feasibility in a preset time period, information about keyword search ranking, and subcategory identification information.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the first information identifying the plurality of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of categories may include first information and second information identifying the plurality of items belonging to the first category, the selecting a list of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of items based on the first information about the plurality of items may include selecting a list of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of items based on the first information and the second information, and the second information may include information related to at least one of a user search history and a user purchase history.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the identifying of the information about the plurality of categories and the information about the item list may further include: identifying the first information of each item included in an item list belonging to the selected first category at each preset time interval; based on the information about whether delivery is feasible at a preset time included in the first information of each of the items, identifying whether there is an item whose delivery is not feasible at the preset time; and if there is an item whose delivery is not feasible at the preset time, reselecting an item list belonging to the first category from among the plurality of items based on the first information of the plurality of items.

According to an exemplary embodiment, providing the first page may include: selecting a first theme from a plurality of themes based on at least one of a user search history and a user purchase history; and providing a first page including a banner corresponding to the selected theme.

According to another aspect, an electronic device for providing an item recommendation service is provided, the electronic device comprising: a processor; and a memory configured to store at least one program, wherein by executing the at least one program, the processor operates to: provide a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identify a user input for the banner; based on the user input, identify information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and based on the identified information, provide a second page including the item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories.

According to another aspect, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium is provided, which includes a medium configured to store computer-readable instructions, and the computer-readable instructions are processed, and if executed by a processor, they perform: providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identifying a user input for the banner; based on the user input, identifying information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and based on the identified information, providing a second page of the item list including each of the plurality of categories.

According to an exemplary embodiment, by inducing a user's interest by providing a banner about a specific topic and recommending to the user a list of items belonging to various categories related to the specific topic, the convenience of a user purchasing an item related to a specific topic can be improved. In addition, according to the present invention, the sales profit of a service provider can be increased by encouraging a user to purchase more items.

According to the present invention, by recommending a list of items to a user based on the purchase tendency of a specific user, the user's satisfaction with purchasing an item related to a specific theme can be increased.

According to the present invention, purchased items can be quickly delivered to users by continuously managing all items included in a list of items belonging to each category to be delivered at a specific delivery time.

The effects of the present invention are not limited to the effects described above, and those familiar with this technology will clearly understand other effects not described from the description of the technical solution.

However, the terms may vary depending on the intention of those familiar with this technology or precedents, the emergence of new technologies and the like. In addition, in certain cases, there are also terms arbitrarily selected by the applicant, and in such cases, the meaning will be described in detail in the corresponding description. Therefore, the terms used in the present invention should be defined based on the meaning of the terms and the content of the present invention rather than the simple names of the terms.

FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a system in which a method of operating an electronic device for providing item information according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention can be implemented.

Referring to FIG. 1 , a system according to an exemplary embodiment can be implemented in various types of electronic devices. For example, an exemplary embodiment of the present invention can be implemented in a user device 120 and a server device 110.

The server device 110 may be a device that communicates with a plurality of user devices 120. The server device 110 may receive data from a plurality of user devices 120 and create and store a database based on the received data. The server device 110 may utilize the data stored in a database to execute an exemplary embodiment according to the present invention.

According to the present invention, the user device 120 can mainly provide information to a user, and a user can provide an input to the user device 120 to execute an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The user device 120 can be a device used by a user personally, such as a desktop computer, a tablet computer, a mobile phone, and a smart phone. A user can receive an item recommendation through the user device 120 using an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. An exemplary embodiment of a method of the present invention can be executed by the server device 110 or the user device 120 alone, and each of the server device 110 and the user device 120 can divide and implement each operation of the exemplary embodiment of the method of the present invention. Therefore, in this case, the server device 110 and the user device 120 can communicate with each other in a manner that is understood by a person skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs (e.g., Internet connection, etc.), and thus the server device 110 and the user device 120 can cooperate to implement an exemplary embodiment of a method according to the present invention together.

FIG. 2 is a schematic block diagram of an internal configuration of an electronic device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The server device 110 and the user device 120 of FIG. 1 may include an electronic device 200. Alternatively, the electronic device 200 may include the server device 110 or the user device 120. In either case, the server device 110 and the user device 120 may execute the exemplary embodiment of the present invention. In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device 200 may be used to implement any system or method described in the present invention. For example, electronic device 200 may be configured to function as any electronic device, including a data server, a network server, a portable computing device, a personal computer, a tablet computer, a workstation, a cellular phone, a smart phone, or any other device described below.

2 , the electronic device 200 may include one or more processors 220 having a memory 230 and one or more cache memories and a memory controller that may be configured to communicate with the memory 230. Alternatively, the electronic device 200 may include other devices that may be connected to the electronic device 200 via one or more ports (e.g., a universal serial bus (USB), a headphone jack, a lightning connector, a thunderbolt connector, etc.). The devices that may be connected to the electronic device 200 may include a plurality of ports configured to receive optical fiber connectors. The configuration of the electronic device 200 depicted is intended only as a specific example for the purpose of illustrating a preferred exemplary embodiment of the present invention. In the electronic device 200 shown, only components related to the exemplary embodiment are shown. Therefore, a person skilled in the art should understand that in addition to the components shown, the electronic device 200 may further include other general components.

The processor 220 may be used to cause the electronic device 200 to provide the operations or functions of any exemplary embodiment described in the present invention. For example, the processor 220 typically controls the electronic device 200 by executing a program stored in the memory 230 of the electronic device 200. The processor 220 may be implemented as a central processing unit (CPU), an application processor (AP), or the like included in the electronic device 200, but is not limited thereto.

The memory 230 is hardware for storing various data processed in the electronic device 200, and the memory 230 can store data processed by the processor 220 in the electronic device 200 and data to be processed. In addition, the memory 230 can store basic programming and data structures that can provide the functionality of at least one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, and the memory 230 can also store applications (programs, program code modules and instructions), drivers and the like that can provide the functionality of one exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Memory 230 may include random access memory (RAM), such as dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and static random access memory (SRAM), read-only memory (ROM), electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) and CD-ROM, Blu-ray or other optical disk storage, hard disk drive (HDD), solid state drive (SSD), or flash memory.

The processor 220 may also communicate with one or more transceivers 210. The transceiver 210 may be used as an interface through which the electronic device 200 may transmit data or receive data from another device. Transmitting and receiving data may be performed wirelessly as well as wired. The transceiver 210 may be composed of a wired communication module that accesses the Internet through a local area network (LAN), a mobile communication module that transmits and receives data by accessing a mobile communication network through a mobile communication base station, a short-range communication module that uses a wireless local area network (WLAN) communication method (such as Wi-Fi) or a wireless personal area network (WPAN) communication method (such as Bluetooth or Zigbee), a satellite communication module that uses a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) (such as a global positioning system (GPS)), or a combination thereof.

FIG3 is a flow chart of a method for item recommendation according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 3 , in step 301 , an electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) may provide a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme. Items that may be recommended through the item recommendation service may include products included in various categories sold by the service provider. For example, items may include products included in categories such as “bread,” “grains,” “fruits,” “vegetables,” “meat,” and “drinks.” Items are not limited to products of the categories shown.

In an exemplary embodiment, a category may be defined according to one or more classification criteria for classifying items. Each category may contain one or more subcategories. For example, according to the detailed classification, the category "rice cake" may contain subcategories such as "steamed white rice cake", "Injeolmi (a traditional Korean rice cake made of glutinous rice and coated with soybean flour)", and "half-moon shaped rice cake". A category may contain items, and a specific item may be included in one or more categories. For example, an item belonging to a subcategory may also belong to a higher category containing subcategories.

In an exemplary embodiment, an item recommendation service may be provided for various topics preset by a service provider. For example, the topics may include topics with time characteristics, such as "breakfast" and "summer". For another example, the topics may include topics related to lifestyle, such as "diet". Also, for another example, the topics may include topics related to hobbies, such as "camping". The topics of the item recommendation service are not limited to the exemplary topics and may include various topics.

In an exemplary embodiment, multiple categories corresponding to a theme for providing an item recommendation service may be pre-set. FIG. 4 shows the themes according to the exemplary embodiment and the multiple categories corresponding to each theme in a table. For example, referring to Table 410, the multiple categories corresponding to the theme "breakfast" include "bread", "cereal", "egg", "fruit", "salad", "ham/cooked food", "jam", "rice cake", "juice", "yogurt" and "coffee". The multiple categories corresponding to the themes "diet", "camping" and "summer" are shown in Tables 420, 430 and 440, respectively.

According to an exemplary embodiment, a first page may be a page of the entire homepage corresponding to a specific service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. For example, the specific service may include a fresh food purchase service, and a page related to the specific service may be a page of the entire homepage corresponding to the fresh food purchase service. The first page may include the exemplary views of FIG. 9 and FIG. 12a. The electronic device may provide a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme in a separate area on the first page. For example, an area in which the banner is provided may be a lower area of the first page. The specific service is not limited to the example of the service related to the purchase of fresh food, and the area in which the banner is provided is also not limited to the example.

In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device may provide a banner on the first page during an orderable period so that delivery is possible at a preset delivery time. A delivery time for a theme may be preset taking into account the time when the user will consume the recommended item. For example, if a theme is breakfast, it may be predicted that items for breakfast will be consumed by consumers in the morning hours. Therefore, items to be recommended for breakfast may be preset to be delivered to a user via early morning delivery, and when the items can be delivered via early morning delivery, the banner may be set on the first page until the order deadline.

In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device may provide a first page including a banner corresponding to a first theme among a plurality of themes. Specifically, the electronic device may select a first theme among a plurality of themes based on at least one of a user search history and a user purchase history, and may provide a first page including a banner corresponding to the selected theme. The user search history may include search keywords entered by the user during a specific period of time in the past. The user purchase history may include information about items purchased by the user during a specific period of time in the past. The electronic device may select a first topic by performing at least one of determining a relationship between an analysis result of a search keyword and a plurality of topics and determining a relationship between information about an item and a category corresponding to each of the plurality of topics. In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device may provide a first page including a plurality of banners corresponding to each of the plurality of topics.

In an exemplary embodiment, a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme may be provided through a third page. The third page may be a page for providing a search result based on an input search keyword by identifying an input corresponding to a keyword in an area of a search box included in a specific page. For example, the third page may be a page that provides search results based on a search keyword typed in a search window of a first page, and the first page is a page corresponding to an entire homepage of a specific service among a plurality of services. For another example, the third page may be a page that provides search results based on a keyword typed into a search box on a page corresponding to a page corresponding to an entire homepage related to a plurality of services before selecting a specific service. Specifically, the electronic device can receive a search keyword and identify that the received search keyword is a keyword related to one of the preset topics. If the search keyword is identified as a keyword related to the topic, the electronic device can provide a banner through a third page containing a search keyword result. For example, if "morning" is received as a search keyword on the first page, a third page containing a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the topic "breakfast" can be provided. Figures 10a to 10c show an example of providing a banner through a third page.

In step 303, the electronic device may identify a user input to the banner. The user input to the banner identified by the electronic device may include an input for selecting the banner. For example, a user input may include an input of clicking a banner displayed on the first page. An input of clicking the banner may correspond to an input of clicking an area in which the banner is implemented as an icon.

In an exemplary embodiment, if the server device 110 includes the electronic device 200, the server device 110 may recognize a user input for a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme from the user device 120. Specifically, if the user device 120 receives a user input for the banner from the user and transmits information about the user input to the server device 110, the server device 110 may receive the information and recognize the user input for the banner.

In an exemplary embodiment, if the user device 120 includes the electronic device 200, the user device 120 may receive a user input from a user for a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme, and may recognize the user input for the banner.

In step 305, based on the user input, the electronic device may identify information about a plurality of categories corresponding to a theme and information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories. In an exemplary embodiment, if the server device 110 includes the electronic device 200, the server device 110 may identify the user input and, from the information about a plurality of categories corresponding to a theme and information about a plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories stored in the memory 230 of the server device 110, the server device 110 may identify the information about the plurality of categories and information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories. The plurality of items belonging to each category may include a list of items belonging to each category. The stored information about the plurality of categories and the information about the plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories may be information transmitted from another device, or may be information generated directly by the server device 110.

According to an exemplary embodiment, if the user device 120 includes the electronic device 200, the user device 120 may identify information about a plurality of categories corresponding to a theme and information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories from the server device 110. Specifically, the server device 110 may transmit information about a plurality of categories and information about a plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories to the user device 120, and the plurality of items belonging to each category may include a list of items belonging to each category. The user device 120 may identify information about a plurality of categories and information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories from the information received from the server device 110. Receiving information about a plurality of categories and information about a plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories may be performed by the user device 120 aperiodically or periodically at the user's request or without such a request. Here, in order to receive information about a plurality of categories and information about a plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories from the server device 110, the user device 120 may request that the information be transmitted to the server device 110. If necessary, the user device 120 may store the information about a plurality of categories and information about a plurality of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories in the memory 230 of the user device 120. In this case, the user device 120 can identify information about a plurality of categories and information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories from information stored in the memory 230.

In an exemplary embodiment, information about a plurality of categories may include identification information of each of the plurality of categories and information about the priority of each of the plurality of categories. Information about a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories may include gross profit per unit (GPPU) information of each item included in a list of items belonging to a specific category among the plurality of categories. An electronic device may identify information about a plurality of categories corresponding to a theme and information about lists of items related to the plurality of categories, and the electronic device may generate a database for providing a list of items based on the identified information. The database may be generated to have a table format. An example of such a database is shown in FIG5 . FIG5 shows a database when the theme is breakfast. Referring to FIG. 5 , “Number” 510 may indicate the number of each item in a list of items belonging to a specific category, and a category 520 may indicate a category to which an item belongs. A supplier ID (VI) 530 may indicate a seller of an item, and a stock keeping unit (SKU) 540 may indicate an inventory management code of an item. An item name 550 may indicate the sales name of an item, including the product name, weight, and quantity of the item, and importance 560 may indicate a default importance of an item.

In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device may configure a database 500 so that a list of items is configured based on information about the priority of each of a plurality of identified categories. For example, the electronic device may configure the database 500 so that a list of items belonging to a category assigned the highest priority is configured in descending order. Here, the electronic device may add a value representing a category to which each item belongs to each cell of the category 520 based on the identification information of each of the plurality of categories. In the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 5 , a list of items belonging to the category "bread" assigned the highest priority among a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme "breakfast" may be placed in the top row of the table, and a list of items belonging to the category "yogurt" assigned the lowest priority may be placed in the bottom row of the table.

In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device may configure the database 500 so that the items in the item list are arranged based on the GPPU information of each item included in the item list belonging to each category. For example, the electronic device may configure the database 500 so that the items in the item list belonging to a specific category are arranged in descending order from an item with the highest GPPU value. In the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 5 , in the item list belonging to the category “bread”, the item “AA steamed bun” with the highest GPPU value is placed in the top row of the item list, and the item “DD honey-filled Korean pancake” with the lowest GPPU value is placed in the bottom row of the corresponding item list. For a list of items belonging to the category "Yogurt", the item "EE Greek Yogurt" with the highest GPPU value is placed at the top of the list of items, and the item "HH Yogurt Crispy Balls" with the lowest GPPU value is placed at the bottom of the list of items.

The priority of each of the plurality of categories may be determined based on at least one of a purchase conversion rate, a GPPU, and an ASP for each of the plurality of categories. An example of data used as a basis for determining the priority of each of the plurality of categories is shown in FIG6 . FIG6 shows the data when the theme is breakfast. The data 600 may include a sequence 610 of each of the plurality of categories corresponding to the theme “breakfast”, and the value of each cell in the sequence 610 may be a number randomly assigned before determining the priority of the category. In addition, the data 600 may include values related to a purchase conversion rate 630, a GPPU 640, and an ASP 650 for each of the plurality of categories 620 corresponding to the theme “breakfast”. An electronic device may receive the priority of each of a plurality of categories determined by a service provider from another device, or may directly determine the priority of each of a plurality of categories. Specifically, the greater the profit provided to a service provider by a category, the higher the priority assigned to the category. For example, the higher the purchase conversion rate of a category, the higher the priority can be assigned to the category. In the example of FIG. 6 , the highest priority can be assigned to category 620 "bread" having the highest purchase conversion rate 630. The higher the GPPU of a category, the higher priority can be assigned to the category. In the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 6 , the highest priority can be assigned to category 620 "rice cake" having the highest GPPU 640. A higher priority can be assigned to a category having a higher ASP. In the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 6 , the highest priority may be assigned to the category 620 “rice cake” having the highest ASP 650. The priority of each of the plurality of categories may be determined based on two or more of a purchase conversion rate, a GPPU, and an ASP. For example, when the weights of the purchase conversion rate, GPPU, and ASP are applied separately and two or more of the weights are combined, a higher priority may be assigned to a category having a higher combined value. In addition to the purchase conversion rate 630, GPPU 640, and ASP 650, the priority of each of the plurality of categories may also be determined based on other criteria.

In an exemplary embodiment, a list of items belonging to each category may be selected from among a plurality of items belonging to each category. Specifically, the electronic device may identify first information about a plurality of items belonging to a specific category among the plurality of categories. In an exemplary embodiment, the first information about a plurality of items belonging to the specific category may include at least one of GPPU information, GMV information, information about feasibility of delivery at a preset time, information about keyword search ranking, and subcategory identification information. In the list of items, items that can be delivered at a preset time may be selected in the order of higher GMV values and GPPU values in the first information to maximize the profit provided to the service provider. The selection according to the order of higher GMV value and GPPU value may include selecting a first number of items based on either a GMV value and a GPPU value, and selecting a second number of items based on the other of the GMV value and the GPPU value. For example, among a plurality of items, the first 50 items may be selected in order of high GMV, and among the first 50 items, the first 20 items may be selected in order of high GPPU. In addition, the items that can be delivered at a preset time may include items that can be delivered in the early morning.

The item list may be selected by additionally considering at least one of the information about the keyword search ranking in the first information and the subcategory identification information. An example of data used for this is shown in FIG. 7 . FIG. 7 shows data 700 when the theme is “breakfast”. In FIG. 7 , a sequence 710 may indicate a category sequence assigned based on a priority of each of a plurality of categories, and a synopsis title 720 may indicate information about a title of a category to be displayed on a page provided by a service provider. In addition, a category 730 may indicate a category corresponding to a theme, a subcategory 740 may indicate a category divided into a sub-layer of each category, and an internal ID (ID) 750 may indicate an identifier corresponding to a subcategory. A query 760 may indicate information about a search keyword related to each category and its search times. For ease of description, information about each item, such as GPPU information, GMV information, and information about delivery feasibility at a preset time period, is not shown in FIG. 7 . Specifically, based on the query 760, the electronic device may identify information about keyword search rankings related to each category, may identify subcategory identification information of an item sold through the identified search keyword, and may select a list of items that can be delivered at a preset time in the order of higher GMV value and GPPU value from among the items having the identified subcategory identification information. For example, it is shown that the keyword "Rice cake for breakfast/Rice cake for breakfast meal" ranks highly in category 730, and the subcategory 740 of "rice cake" and an item actually sold through a search for a corresponding keyword may be "steamed white rice cake" and "half-moon-shaped rice cake". In this case, among the items belonging to the subcategories "steamed white rice cake" and "half-moon-shaped rice cake", a list of items belonging to the category "rice cake" may be selected in the order of higher GMV value and higher GPPU value as items that can be delivered at a preset time.

In an exemplary embodiment, to provide a personalized list of items for a theme, a list of items may be selected by additionally considering second information including information about at least one of a user's search history and a user's purchase history. Identifying, by an electronic device, first information about a plurality of items belonging to a particular category among a plurality of categories may include identifying the first information and the second information. Furthermore, by the electronic device, selecting, by the electronic device, a list of items belonging to a particular category among a plurality of items based on the first information of the plurality of items may include selecting, by the electronic device, a list of items belonging to a particular category among a plurality of items based on the first information of the plurality of items.

Specifically, for a specific category, among items having subcategory identification information of items sold through keyword searches of multiple users, some items in the item list are selected in the order of higher GMV values and GPPU values as items that can be delivered at a preset time. Among items having subcategory identification information of items purchased based on a specific user's search, some other items are selected in the order of higher GMV values and GPPU values as items that can be delivered at a preset time. For example, for the category "Rice Cake" corresponding to the theme "Breakfast", subcategories of items sold through keyword searches of multiple users may be "Steamed White Rice Cake" and "Half-Moon-Shaped Rice Cake", and a subcategory of an item purchased by a specific user may be "Injeolmi", in which case some items in the item list may be selected from all items belonging to "Steamed White Rice Cake" and "Half-Moon-Shaped Rice Cake", and some other items in the item list may be selected from the items belonging to "Injeolmi". For a specific category, among all items having subcategory identification information of items sold through keyword searches of multiple users and subcategory identification information of items purchased according to a specific user's search, a list of items that can be delivered at a preset time can be selected in order of higher GMV value and higher GPPU value. For example, for the category "rice cake" corresponding to the theme "breakfast", the subcategories of items sold through keyword searches of multiple users are "steamed white rice cake" and "half-moon-shaped rice cake", and the subcategory of items purchased by a specific user is "Injeolmi". In this case, the list of items can be selected from all items belonging to "steamed white rice cake", "half-moon-shaped rice cake" and "Injeolmi".

As described above, by recommending to a user a list of items that reflects a specific user's purchasing tendency, the user's satisfaction with purchasing an item related to a specific theme can be increased.

Referring back to FIG. 3 , in step 307 , the electronic device may provide a second page including a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories based on the identified information. In an exemplary embodiment, the second page may be a detailed page that provides a list of items corresponding to each of the plurality of categories of a theme after identifying a user input for a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme. An example of providing a second page of a list of items is shown in FIG. 11 and FIG. 12 b. In FIG. 11 , if a user input for a banner for the theme “breakfast” is identified, a second page showing a list of items for each of the plurality of categories (e.g., “bread” 1120, “yogurt” 1130, and “cereal” 1140) may be provided. In FIG. 13 , if a user input for a banner with the theme “diet” is identified, a second page showing a list of items for each of a plurality of categories (such as “salad” 1230 , “protein” 1240 , and “low-calorie snacks” 1250 ) may be provided.

In an exemplary embodiment, the second page may include a plurality of regions corresponding to each of a plurality of categories and including a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories. To provide a list of items by category, the electronic device may provide a second page including a plurality of regions configured based on information about the priority of each of the plurality of categories. The plurality of regions may be vertically arranged on the second page, and may be arranged so that a region corresponding to a category assigned a higher priority is positioned at a relatively upper region in the second page. Specifically, for n number of categories corresponding to a theme, a first region corresponding to a first category assigned the highest priority may be positioned at the top of the second page, and an nth region corresponding to an nth category assigned the lowest priority may be positioned at the bottom of the second page.

In an exemplary embodiment, in order to provide a list of items belonging to a specific category in an area corresponding to a specific category among a plurality of areas included in the second page, the electronic device may provide an area containing a list of items configured based on the GPPU information of each item included in the list of items belonging to a specific category. A list of items belonging to a specific category may be configured in a horizontal direction in an area corresponding to the specific category based on the GPPU information of each item. For example, in order to induce the purchase of items with greater benefits for the service provider, in an area corresponding to a specific category, an item with a higher GPPU value may be configured to be relatively positioned on the left side.

Through the above method for item recommendation, the present invention can improve the convenience of users purchasing items related to a specific theme by providing a banner about a specific theme to attract the user's attention and recommending to the user a list of items belonging to various categories related to the specific theme. In addition, according to an exemplary embodiment, the sales profit of the service provider can be increased by allowing users to purchase more items.

FIG8 is a schematic flow chart of item list management according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The method for managing an item list shown in FIG8 can provide an item list that only includes items that can be delivered at a preset delivery time by periodically identifying whether information about a delivery feasible time has changed relative to the selected item list.

8 , in step 801, the electronic device (e.g., the electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) recognizes first information of each item included in a list of items belonging to a first category at a preset time interval. Specifically, as described with respect to FIG. 3 , based on the first information about a plurality of items belonging to each category, the electronic device may select a list of items belonging to each category so that delivery is possible at a preset time. Even after performing this selection, the electronic device may still periodically recognize the first information of each item included in the list of items belonging to each selected category. For example, referring to FIG. 5 (which is an exemplary view of an item list selected as described above), after selecting an item list belonging to the category "bread" for the theme "breakfast", the first information can be periodically identified for each item "AA steamed bun" to "DD honey-filled Korean pancake" included in the item list.

In step 803, the electronic device can identify whether there is an item that cannot be delivered at a preset delivery time in the list of items belonging to each category. Specifically, based on the information about whether delivery is possible at a preset time included in the first information of each item, the electronic device can identify whether there is an item that cannot be delivered at a preset time. Referring to FIG. 5, for each of the items "AA steamed bun" to "DD honey-filled Korean pancake" included in the list of items belonging to the category "bread", it is identified whether the information about the feasibility of delivery has changed at a preset time.

If it is identified that there are no items in the list of items belonging to each category that cannot be delivered within a preset delivery time, then in step 805, the electronic device may determine to maintain the list of items belonging to each category. For example, if it is identified that the list of items "AA steamed buns" to "DD Korean pancakes with honey filling" belonging to the category "bread" can all be delivered within the preset time, then the list of items "AA steamed buns" to "DD Korean pancakes with honey filling" may be maintained.

If it is recognized that there are items in the item lists belonging to each category that cannot be delivered at the preset delivery time, the electronic device may reselect an item list belonging to the first category from among the plurality of items belonging to the first category in step 807. Specifically, if the item list belonging to a specific category includes items that cannot be delivered at the preset delivery time, the electronic device may select an item list belonging to the specific category based on the first information about the plurality of items belonging to the specific category to achieve delivery at a preset time. For example, in a list of items belonging to the category "bread", if it is found that "AA steamed buns" cannot be delivered at the preset time, a list of items belonging to the category "bread" can be reselected based on the first information about multiple items belonging to the category "bread". Reselecting a list of items may include discarding items that cannot be delivered at a preset time from a list of items belonging to a specific category, and only selecting items to replace the discarded items. Reselecting a list of items may include discarding all items in a list belonging to a specific category and reselecting a list of items belonging to the specific category based on the first information about multiple items belonging to the specific category.

As described above, purchased items can be quickly delivered to a user by continuously managing all items included in a list of items belonging to each category to be delivered at a specific delivery time.

FIG. 9 is an exemplary diagram showing a first page of a banner for recommending an item according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. A first page 900 may be the first page provided in step 301 of FIG. 3 .

An electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) may provide a first page of an entire homepage corresponding to a specific service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. The electronic device may provide a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme to a specific area of the first page. Referring to FIG. 9 , the electronic device may provide a first page 900 of an entire homepage corresponding to a fresh food purchase service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. The electronic device may provide an area 910 corresponding to a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme “breakfast” in the lower area of the first page 900. The content of a specific service and the location of the area corresponding to the banner on the first page are not limited to the example of FIG. 9 .

Figures 10a to 10c are exemplary diagrams of a third page of a banner for recommending items according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. An electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of Figure 2) displays a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme in a specific area on a third page corresponding to a page for providing search results based on a search keyword.

Referring to FIG. 10a, the electronic device may provide a third page 1000 displaying search results based on an input search keyword "morning" on a page of the entire homepage corresponding to a fresh food purchase service (which is a specific service among a plurality of services). The electronic device may recognize that the input search keyword "morning" is a keyword related to the theme "breakfast", and may provide an area 1020 corresponding to a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme "breakfast" on the third page 1000. The area 1020 corresponding to the banner may be set at the top of the remaining area except for an area 1010 corresponding to a search box in the third page 1000.

Referring to FIG. 10b, the electronic device may provide a third page 1030 for displaying search results based on the input search keyword "morning" on a page corresponding to the entire homepage related to multiple services. The electronic device may recognize that the input search keyword "morning" is a keyword related to the theme "breakfast", and may provide an area 1050 corresponding to a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme "breakfast" on the third page 1030. The area 1050 corresponding to the banner may be set at the top of the remaining area except for an area 1040 corresponding to the search box in the third page 1030.

Referring to FIG. 10c, the electronic device may provide a third page 1060 showing search results based on the input search keyword "bread" in the page corresponding to the entire homepage of the plurality of services. The electronic device may recognize that the input search keyword "bread" is a keyword related to the category "bread" among the plurality of categories corresponding to the theme "breakfast", and may provide an area 1080 corresponding to a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme "breakfast" on the third page 1060. The area 1080 corresponding to the banner may be set in the middle of the remaining area except for an area 1070 corresponding to the search box in the third page 1060. The content of a specific service, an input search keyword, and a location of an area corresponding to a banner on the third page are not limited to the examples of Figures 10a to 10c.

FIG. 11 is an exemplary view of a second page with a list of items according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The second page 1100 may be a second page provided in step 307 of FIG. 3 .

An electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) may provide a second page including an area 1110 in which a theme is displayed, a first area 1120 corresponding to a first category, a second area 1130 corresponding to a second category, and a third area 1140 corresponding to a third category. The first area 1120 to the third area 1140 may be arranged vertically on the second page 1100. A user may identify a list of items included in each of the areas corresponding to each of the plurality of vertical categories on the second page 1100 by using an input such as scrolling. The plurality of areas including the first area 1120 to the third area 1140 corresponding to each of the plurality of categories may be arranged in descending order from a category having the highest priority. In FIG. 11 , among the plurality of categories corresponding to the theme “breakfast”, the category “bread” has the highest priority and thus may be placed at the top of the second page 1100. In each of the plurality of areas including the first area 1120 to the third area 1140, item lists may be arranged in a horizontal direction. A user may identify information about item lists belonging to categories connected in the horizontal direction on the second page 1100 by using an input such as scrolling. The item lists may be arranged in an area corresponding to each category from left to right in descending order from an item having the highest GPPU value. In FIG. 11 , in the case of the category “Bread”, the item “HH French Baguette” with the highest GPPU value is placed on the leftmost side of the first area 1120, and the item “II Breakfast Roll” with the second highest GPPU value is placed right next to “HH French Baguette”.

FIG. 12a is another exemplary view of a first page on which a banner for recommending items is displayed according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. An electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) may provide a first page 1200 corresponding to the entire homepage of a fresh food purchase service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. The electronic device may provide an area 1210 corresponding to a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on the theme “diet” in the lower area of the first page 1200. The content of a specific service and the location of the area of the first page corresponding to the banner are not limited to the example of FIG. 12a .

FIG. 12b is another exemplary view of a second page having a list of items according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

When an electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) recognizes a user input for region 1210 corresponding to the banner in FIG. 12a , the electronic device may provide a second page 1220 that provides a list of items for the theme “diet.” The second page 1220 may include a plurality of regions, including a first region 1230 corresponding to the category “salad,” a second region 1240 corresponding to the category “protein,” and a third region 1250 corresponding to the category “low-calorie snacks.” The plurality of regions corresponding to each of the plurality of categories may be arranged in descending order from a category having the highest priority. In FIG. 12b, among the multiple categories corresponding to the theme "diet", the category "salad" has the highest priority and can therefore be placed at the top of the second page 1220. In each of the multiple areas including the first area 1230 to the third area 1250, the item list can be arranged in a horizontal direction. The item list can be arranged in a region corresponding to each category from left to right in descending order from an item with the highest GPPU value. In this case, in the first area 1120, the item "QQ sweet pumpkin salad" with the highest GPPU value among the item list belonging to the category "salad" can be placed on the far left.

FIG. 13 is another exemplary view showing a first page of a banner for recommending items according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

An electronic device (e.g., electronic device 200 of FIG. 2 ) may provide a first page of the entire homepage corresponding to a specific service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. The electronic device may provide a plurality of banners corresponding to a plurality of topics in a specific area on the first page. Referring to FIG. 13 , the electronic device may provide a first page 1300 of the entire homepage corresponding to a fresh food purchase service among a plurality of services provided by a service provider. The electronic device may provide an area 1310 in a lower area of the first page 1300 for providing banners corresponding to each of a plurality of areas including the topics “breakfast” and “diet”. The electronic device can provide a second screen by recognizing a user input for any of the plurality of banners included in area 1310, the second screen including a list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories corresponding to the selected theme. The content of a particular service and the location of the area corresponding to the banner on the first page are not limited to the example of FIG. 13.

At the same time, in the present invention and drawings, exemplary embodiments are disclosed and specific terms are used. However, these terms are only used in a general sense to easily describe the technical content of the present invention and help understand the present invention, rather than limiting the scope of the present invention. A person of ordinary skill in the field to which the present invention belongs will understand that in addition to the exemplary embodiments disclosed herein, other modifications based on the technical spirit of the present invention may also be implemented.

The electronic device according to the exemplary embodiments described above may include a processor, a memory for storing and executing program data, a permanent storage (such as a disk drive) and/or a user interface device (such as a communication port, a touch panel, a key and/or a button) for communicating with an external device. The method implemented as a software module or algorithm may be stored in a computer-readable recording medium as a computer-readable program code or program instruction that can be executed on a processor. Here, the computer-readable recording medium includes a magnetic storage medium (such as ROM, RAM, floppy disk and hard disk) and an optically readable medium (such as CD-ROM and DVD). Computer-readable recording media can be distributed among network-connected computer systems so that computer-readable program code can be stored and executed in a distributed manner. The media can be read by a computer, stored in a memory, and executed on a processor.

An exemplary embodiment may be represented by functional block components and various processing steps. Functional blocks may be implemented by any number of hardware and/or software configurations that perform a particular function. For example, an exemplary embodiment may employ an integrated circuit configuration such as memory, processing, logic, and/or a lookup table that may perform various functions under the control of one or more microprocessors or other control devices. Similarly, components may be implemented as software programming or software components, and exemplary embodiments may be implemented in a programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Java, assembly language, etc., including various algorithms implemented as a combination of data structures, procedures, routines, or other programming constructs. Functional aspects may be implemented in an algorithm running on one or more processors. In addition, exemplary embodiments may employ existing technologies for electronic environment settings, signal processing and/or data processing. Claims (11)

A method for recommending an item performed by an electronic device, the electronic device comprising a transceiver and a processor, the method comprising: providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identifying a user input for the banner; based on the user input, identifying information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and based on the identified information, providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identifying information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and providing a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; A second page of the item list for each of the plurality of categories, wherein the information about the plurality of categories includes identification information of each of the plurality of categories and information about a priority of each of the plurality of categories, wherein the second page includes a plurality of areas corresponding to each of the plurality of categories and including the item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories, and wherein providing the second page includes providing the second page including the plurality of areas configured based on the information about a priority. The method of claim 1, wherein the priority of each of the plurality of categories is determined based on at least one of a purchase conversion rate, a gross profit per unit (GPPU), and an average selling price (ASP) for each of the plurality of categories. The method of claim 1, wherein the information about the item list includes GPPU information of each item included in a first item list belonging to a first category among the plurality of categories, wherein the second page includes a first area corresponding to the first category among the plurality of categories and including an item list belonging to the first category, and wherein providing the second page includes providing the first area including the first item list configured based on the GPPU information of each item. The method of claim 1, wherein providing the first page including the banner includes providing the banner during an orderable period configured to allow delivery at a preset delivery time. The method of claim 1 further includes: receiving a search keyword; identifying that the received search keyword is a keyword related to the topic; and providing the banner via a third page of search results containing the search keyword. The method of claim 1, wherein the identifying information about the plurality of categories and the information about the list of items includes: identifying first information about a plurality of items belonging to a first category among the plurality of categories; and selecting a list of items belonging to the first category from among the plurality of items based on the first information about the plurality of items, wherein the first information includes at least one of GPPU information, gross merchandise volume (GMV) information, information about delivery feasibility at a preset time, information about keyword search ranking, and subcategory identification information. The method of claim 6, wherein the first information identifying the plurality of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of categories includes first information and second information identifying the plurality of items belonging to the first category, and wherein selecting a list of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of items based on the first information about the plurality of items includes selecting a list of items belonging to the first category among the plurality of items based on the first information and the second information, wherein the second information includes information related to at least one of a user search history and a user purchase history. The method of claim 6, wherein the identifying the information about the plurality of categories and the information about the item list further comprises: identifying the first information of each item included in an item list belonging to the selected first category at each preset time interval; based on the information about whether delivery is feasible at a preset time included in the first information of each of the items, identifying whether there is an item whose delivery is not feasible at the preset time; and if there is an item whose delivery is not feasible at the preset time, reselecting an item list belonging to the first category from the plurality of items based on the first information of the plurality of items. The method of claim 1, wherein providing the first page includes: Selecting a first theme from a plurality of themes based on at least one of a user search history and a user purchase history; and providing a first page including a banner corresponding to the selected theme. An electronic device for providing an item recommendation service, comprising: a processor; and a memory configured to store at least one program, wherein by executing the at least one program, the processor operates to: provide a first page including a banner for providing an item recommendation service based on a theme; identify a user input for the banner; based on the user input, identify information about a plurality of categories corresponding to the theme and information about an item list belonging to each of the plurality of categories; and based on the identified information, information, providing a second page including the list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories, wherein the information about the plurality of categories includes identification information of each of the plurality of categories and information about a priority of each of the plurality of categories, wherein the second page includes a plurality of areas corresponding to each of the plurality of categories and including the list of items belonging to each of the plurality of categories, and wherein providing the second page includes providing the second page including the plurality of areas configured based on the information about a priority. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising a medium configured to store computer-readable instructions, wherein the computer-readable instructions, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform a method as claimed in claim 1.
