Винахід стосується аналізу вугілля, зокрема визначення типу за відновленістю кам'яного вугілля й антрацитів. Він може бути використаний у вугільному й коксовому виробництвах, при непаливному використанні вугілля, а також при дослідженні його на стадії геологорозвідувальних робіт.
