Abstract
The invention relates to the environmental protection, in particular, to the methods for sludge treatment, namely the treatment of the toxic wastes of chromate industry and may be used in the chromate plants for converting the toxic sludges to the products, which may be used in various branches of the national economy: in the construction industry, in mining technology as plugging materials. The method for treating the toxic wastes of chromate industry provides for mixing the sludge with the reducing agent followed by thermal process. The waste slag of aluminum alloy production is used as the reducing agent.
