Спосіб вимірювання витрати тепла полягає в тому, що функцію двох незалежних змінних Q=F(G,,Т) представляють у вигляді функції зі змінною Q=F(G), де змінна G представляє собою функцію, залежну от різниці температур, тобто G=Ф(GТ), тобто якщо буде знайдений механізм зміни витрати теплоносія залежно від різниці температур, то вимірювання витрати тепла можна проводити за допомогою одного витратоміра.
