Abstract

The invention relates to continuously advancing track-laying machine for compacting gravel ballast level and to the method for continuous track lowering to prescribed level. The continuously advancing track-laying machine for compacting gravel ballast layer of track comprises an axle drive and machine frame undercarriage-supported and at least one loaded and re-installable in height by means of drives track stabilization unit, with adjoining by means of telescopic drives the inner sides of the rail head and brought to vibration motion by means of vibrators roller tools, and leveling reference system with support basis and at least one rolling by track measuring wheel axle with height transducer. According to the intention the machine has the measuring wheel axle that is placed off-centre in relation to two end points of the support basis and with respect to the working direction of the machine – behind the track stabilization unit, respectively, track stabilization units.
