Abstract

A converter contains body with nose, which face is equipped with collar and protective headpiece disposed on nose and made in the form of annular segments. On headpiece face an annular groove is disposed and jointed with collar body nose, at that on the lateral surface of protective headpiece there are through, radially disposed threaded openings with screws placed therein, and installed with a possibility of supporting in parallel motion in V-like groove made on external surface of nose collar. On the nose external surface the annular groove is made with retaining strips inserted therein, anddisposed at the perimeter of the nose external surface and rigidly fixed to the protective headpiece, e.g. by means of welding.
