Abstract

The proposed method for compensating signal distortions caused by an amplifier consists in isolating the distortion signal by subtracting the output signal of the amplifier (1), which is attenuated by an attenuator (2), from the input signal of the amplifier or summing the said signals by an inverting operating amplifier, amplifying the distortion signal by an additional amplifier (3) with a gain (K3) that exceeds the gain (K1) of amplifier 1, attenuating the output signal of the additional amplifier (3) by an attenuator or a transformer (4) with an attenuation ratio K3/K1, and summing the output signal of this attenuator or transformer with the output signal of amplifier 1. The additional amplifier (3) is designed as a class-A amplifier with an output transformer and negative feedback. The parameters of the additional amplifier and the output transformer are determined so as to provide the required output characteristics of the amplifier in a specified high frequency range. The present invention provides the possibility to increase accuracy in compensating distortions in audio amplifiers.
