Глиниста суміш, здатна утворювати водостійкий гель, яка містить порошкоподібний чи подрібнений смектит та/чи гірську породу, яка містить смектит, і частково водорозчинний та/або такий, що набрякає у воді, полімер, масова частка якого складає 0,8-10 % у розрахунку на смектит, та, як варіант, твердий активатор, масова частка якого складає принаймні 0,5 %. Така суміш може також додатково містити як розріджувач один чи більше твердих інертних наповнювачів, масова частка яких складає більше ніж 0,5 %.
