In my application, Serial No. 554,988, filed April 18, 1922, and assigned to the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company, I show exhaust blading of the wide type, adapted-to receive steam flowing in an axial direction and to discharge it peripherally, in which the blades are made in sections in order to facilitate manufacture. My'present invention relates to deflector and bracing structure which is especially adapted for use in connection with scctionalized blading of this type.
Referring now to the drawings fora more detailed description of my invention, I show a turbine comprising a rotor 10, supported by the bearings 11 of the cylinder creasing 12, the rotor 10 and the cylinder or casing 12 carrying suitable energy-abstracting elements followed by a last stage at 13, includwide blades 15 adapted to receive axially flowing steam and to discharge the latter radially or peripherally.
