- This reinforcing means comprises two strips of metal 34 and 35 of heavier gauge than the panels, the one, 34, being an angle having its arms 36 and 37 nested at the bottom in the angle between the body of the inner panel stamping and the transverse rail portion 22 and Welded to the rail portion.

- An inner panel stamping for sheet metal doors having transversely extending lower and side jamb face portions merging into each other through well-rounded corner formations, and an offset formed in the lower edge of said panel adjacent the junction of its body with the transverse jamb face portion, said offset extending around the corners and providing a recess to receive a weather strip and securing means therefor.
- a sheet metal door comprised of inner and outer stampings forming the inner and outer faces of the door and the moulding around the window opening as well as transversely extending jamb face portions of the door having well rounded corners, and a reinforcing strip extending fromthe lower end of the hinge rail portion across the top, and
- said reinforce being of angular section along the hinge rail side, the angle nesting with the angle formed by the body of the stamping and its transverse jamb rail portion, and of channel section across the top and throughout the rounded corners of the door, said top transverse portion of the panel and the channel portion of the reinforce being slotted to permit insertion and removal of the window glass.
