BARZILLA HARRINGTON AND NELSON RUSSELL, OF CHINA, MAINE.
IMPROVEMENT IN TANNING.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 21,755, dated October 12, 1858.
The preparation of the hides is the same as in the usual process of tanning.
What we claim as our discovery is- The use of Oomptam'a asple'nifolia or Sweet fern, in room of bark or any other tanning material now in use.
