  • the invention the object of which is to eliminate hitherto prevailing drawbacks in connection with timewasting changes being necessary for such adjustments is characterized by an endless groove in the circular boundary surface and a similar secondary groove in the outer surface of the grille body and further by a fastening means disposed in said secondary groove and consisting of a ring of plastic rubber or similar elastic material preferably having a circular cross-section, which ring after the grille body has been pressed into said opening functions as tightening means as well as guiding means, whereby a passing air stream merely by turning said grille body can be directed to any point in the area to be ventilated.
  • the grille body is provided with an outer guiding flange engaging a circular recess disposed in said front plate and encircling said opening.

  • a ventilating grille comprising a front plate having a cylindrical wall therein defining an opening, a grille body rotatably mounted in said opening and consisting of a number of angled parallel bars fixed to a circular frame having an outer cylindrical surface axially coextensive with said parallel bars and somewhat smaller in diameter than said opening to telescopically engage therein, an endless primary groove in the cylindrical wall, a similar secondary groove in the outer cylindrical surface of the grille body registering with said primary groove, and fastening means disposed in said primary and secondary grooves and consisting of an elastic sealing ring of circular cross section, said ring serving the dual function of a sealing element between said walls and guide means to retain said grille body in said openings for rotary movement, whereby the air passing through said grille passes solely between said parallel bars in a direction parallel thereto, said direction being readily adjustable by simply turning said grille body in said openmg.
  • a ventilating grille according to claim 1 wherein said front plate has a circular recess surrounding said opening in the outer face thereof, and said grille body has a radial flange projecting from said outer cylindrical surface and engaged in said circular recess.
