Specification of Letters Patent No. 325, dated July 31, 1837.

To all al1/omit may concern Be it known that I, DAVID Baltimore, in theJ State of Maryland, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Drawer, Commode, and Cupboard Door- Knobs, according to the annexed drawings, which form part of this specification, marked Figures l, 2, 3, 4:.

The nature of my improvement consists in inserting or otherwise fastening topically stained, painted, colo-red, gilt or silvered glass plates A of various patterns and sizes, into stocks of wood B, with either wooden or metal spindles C; and that for the purpose of variegating and increasing the brilliancy of the colors I place either colored HOTTMANN, of

foil, colored paper, colored glass, colored metal, or looking glass D underneath of the said plates, according to the patterns required. But y, Y

What I claim as my invention of improvement and what I desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-y The combination only of the aforesaid parts, as a whole, in my method of making the above v'specified drawer, commode, and cupboard door knobs.
