IMPROVEMENT IN PORTABLE FENCES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 54,754, dated May 15, 1866.
of Iowa, have invented a new and Improved Portable Fence; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this speciiication, in Which- Figure l is a side view of my invention; Fig. 2, a plan or top view of the same.

This invention consists in attaching pickets to the links of a wire chain, substantially in the manner as hereinafter set forth, whereby a very economical, durable, and ilexible fence is obtained, one which may be readily put up and taken down and adjusted so as to form any angle that may be required in course of of its erection.
