SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent-No. 655,284, dated August 7, 1900.
Application filed October 13, 1899. Serial No. 733,516. (No model.)
To wZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRIEDRICH HERMANN THIER, a subject of the King of Saxony, residing at Koenigstein, Saxony, German Empire, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in or Relating to'Hand-Rests', (for which I have made application for patent in Germany, design Patent No.117,946, dated June 3, 1899; in Great Britain, No. 11,986, dated June 8, 1899;.in Switzerland, filed June 12, 1899, and in Austria, filed June 12, 1899,) of which the following is a specification.
The object of the present invention is a hand-rest for use when writing in thick books or the like.
The hand-rest consists of twoleaves, plates, boards, or frames 1) b, hinged together at a, the plates being made of wood, metal, or the like,
the upper one being providedwith a slot 0' By resting the hand on the upper plate the latter will secure the weight 6 in position.
