TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, MEBRITT GALLY, of- Marion, in Weyne county, and State of New York, have invented -a. new Improvement in Evener for Whitiie-Trees, fte.; and Ido herebydeclare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

My invention consists in an additional improvement on evener for whichLettersPotent were granted to me, and issued on the 26th daiy of March, 1867, and numbered 63,238. V

A represents the body of the evener, and CO lever projections, as in former patent.` E E represent curved projections of the body of the evener substituted for the stops E E of former patent, and allowing the use of short straps or chains instead of the iniexible bars B B of former patent. S S represent additional clevises pivoted to the extremities of the lever projections C C for the attachment of straps or chains, prserving the advantages over the strap and pulley.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Lettere Patent, is

The curved projections of the body of the evener E E', the pivoted clevises, for the attachment of straps or chains, in combination with the lever projections C C, and constructed as herein set forth.
