Be it known that I, CLARENCE BBOSIUS, of the ,town of Hancock, in the county of Washington, and State` of Maryland, have invented al new and improvedAppai-atus for Elcvating and Lowering Hogsheads, Barrels,v

Boxes, or any other heavy articles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. My'invent-ion consists in the constructionof a stationary skid and slide, and stays, for the accomplishment of sadpurpose. v f i e To enableany one t'o make use of my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation.
