L Be itknoijm that I, ROBERT HEWSON, of the city and county of' San Francisco, State of'California, have invented an Improved Parlor-Skate; and I do hereby declare the following description and accompanying draw ings are suicient to enable any person skilled in the art or science to which it mostlnearly appertains to make and use my said invention or improvements without further invention or experiment.
The Object of my invention is to provide an improvement in parlor-skates of that class-in which small wheels orA rollers are used for moving about on a iioor or level surface, and it consists in the use of friction-rollers for supporting the axles of the main Wheels upon which the skate moves.
Reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part offthis specification,
Figure 1 is a plan, Figure 2 is a side sectional elevation taken through X X. Similar letters of reference in ,each ofthe figures indicate like parts. p A is the block Or supporting-base for the foot, which may be constructed of wood or iro requisite lightness and strength.
