TO ALL' PERSONS TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME:

Be it known that I, HENRY M. WYATT, of Somerville, in the county of Middlesex, and State of'AMassaehui setts, have invented a new and useful Improvementin Burners for Lamps; and do hereby declare the same to he fully described in the following speoication, and represented in the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is atop view, and

Figure 2 a side elevation of a burner and its cone or air-deflector, as furnished with my improvement, whose object is to hold both the cone and the chimney in place.

The cone or air-deflector, A, is to have two rectangular holes, wa, made through its periphery, and on opposite parts thereof. From the wick-tube B, o r the base part, O, of the burner, two elastic supporters, D D, are extended in. manner as represented. Each ot these supporters is a thin strip of metal, which, besides being bent' in the form as'exhibited in fig. 2, has two projections or rests, b b, extended from it,inl manner as shown in Figure 3, which is a top view of the burner without the detieetor A. Each supporter also terminates in a head or lip, c, formed and arranged in manner as shown in the drawings.

The-lip o of each supporterserves not only to direct the chimney upon the supporter, but to hold it in luce when restinflr on the haselate or chimne -rest E. I What I claim as my invention, is-' The chimney and air-defleetor elastic Vsupporters D D, made substantially as described and represented, that is, with the operative bends, the lips and the deflcctor-rests arranged 'and formed in manner as represented and described. i
