Be it known that l, SIEGFRIIGD KAMIN, asubject of the King of Prussia, German Emperor, and a resident of Dantzic, Prussia, Germany, have invented new and useful Improvements in Attachments for Curtain-Poles and Uornices, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
The present invention relates to attachments for curtain-poles and corniees; and it consists of the details of construction hereinafter set forth, and particularly pointed out in the claim.
In order to render the present specification easily intelligible, reference is had to the accompan ving drawings, in which similar letters of re ference denote similar parts throughout the several views.
Figure 1 is a sectional elevation of one form of embodying the invention, and Fig. 2 a plan of the same. Fig. 3 is a sectional elevation of a similar form of the invention.
The device consists of the supporting-arm a, which is zu'lvantageously provided with two or more dips 7) and c, in which the blind-rods may be placed. At the free end of this arm a screw r, advantageously a thumb-screw, having a disk at its upper end, is provided, and this screw is threaded into a correspondinglythreaded orifice at the end of the arm a. The bifurcated end (I of the arm for holding the curtain-pole or cornice is adjustable on the arm a and maybe adjusted in any desired l position from the wall by means of the screw i lN-POLES AND CORNICES.

a, which clamps the arms of the fork or bifurcation to the arm 1/. An angle-iron f is pivoted to the end of the part (I and carries a wood-screw or other attachment by means of which the cornice or curtain-pole may be attached. The screw in the present case is shown at {7.
In the simplified form of the invention the arm 1/ is dispensed with and the arm 1', which carries the cornice or curtain-pole by means of the spike or nail r, is clamped directly to the ceiling on the screw-shank Z by means of the thumb-nut 11. Any other suitable means may be employed for attaching the cornice s to the arm 1 instead of the spike 1'.
I claim as my invention A device for supporting curtain-poles and corniees consisting of a supporting-arm suitably lixed in the wall and havinga clampingscrew at its free end, and having dips formed therein to receive the blind rods and a bifurcated arm having an angle-iron pivoted to one end carrying a screw for the attachment of the curtain-pole or cornice, its bifurcated end being adjustable on the said supportingarm in the manner and for the purpose substantially as described.
